1 (UKJV) "Hear all of you this, O priests; and hearken, all of you house of Israel; and give all of you ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because all of you have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor. "

4 (KAT) Ich skutky im nedovoľujú vrátiť sa k svojmu Bohu, lebo je v nich smilný duch, takže nepoznajú Pána.
4 (VUL) Non dabunt opera sua, ut revertantur ad Deum suum, quia spiritus fornicationis in medio eorum, et Dominum non cognoverunt.
4 (UKJV) They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.

5 (KAT) Pýcha usvedčuje Izrael do očí, Izrael a Efraim pre svoju vinu padajú a Júda padá s nimi tiež.
5 (VUL) Et testatur arrogantia Israel in faciem suam, et Israel et Ephraim ruent in iniquitate sua: ruet etiam Iudas cum eis.
5 (UKJV) And the pride of Israel does testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.

6 (KAT) Idú so svojimi ovcami a dobytkom hľadať Pána, ale ho nenájdu, odtiahol od nich preč.
6 (VUL) In gregibus suis et in armentis suis vadent ad quaerendum Dominum et non invenient; subtraxit se ab eis.

9 (KAT) V deň karhania spustne Efraim, proti kmeňom Izraela pravdu oznámim.
9 (VUL) Ephraim vastabitur in die correptionis; in tribubus Israel annuntio rem certam.
9 (UKJV) Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.

10 (KAT) Kniežatá Izraela sú podobné tým, čo prekladajú medzníky: svoj hnev na nich ako vodu vylejem.
10 (VUL) Facti sunt principes Iudae quasi transferentes terminos; super eos effundam quasi aquam iram meam.
10 (UKJV) The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

11 (KAT) Efraim je utláčaný, porušuje sa právo, lebo zachcelo sa mu bežať za nečistotou.
11 (VUL) Oppressus est Ephraim, fractum est ius, quoniam voluit abire post sordem.
11 (UKJV) Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.

12 (KAT) Ale ja som Efraimovi sťa moľ a sťa črvoč Júdovi.
12 (VUL) Et ego quasi sanies Ephraim, et quasi putredo domui Iudae.
12 (UKJV) Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

13 (KAT) Keď Efraim zbadal svoju chorobu a Júda svoju ranu, do Asýrska išiel Efraim, poslal k veľkému kráľovi; on vás však nemôže uzdraviť ani váš vred odstrániť.
13 (VUL) Et vidit Ephraim languorem suum, et Iuda ulcus suum; et abiit Ephraim ad Assyriam et misit ad regem magnum; sed et ipse non poterit sanare vos nec solvere poterit vos ab ulcere.
13 (UKJV) When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.

14 (KAT) Lebo Efraimovi som ako lev, domu Júdovmu ako levíča. Ja, ja roztrhám a odídem, uchytím a neoslobodí nik.
14 (VUL) Quoniam ego quasi leaena Ephraim et quasi catulus leonis domui Iudae; ego, ego capiam et vadam, tollam, et non est qui eruat.
14 (UKJV) "For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him. "

15 (KAT) Idem, na svoje miesto sa navrátim, kým sa na pokánie nedajú, potom budú hľadať moju tvár. Vo svojej úzkosti ma budú zrána hľadať:
15 (VUL) Vadens revertar ad locum meum, donec poenas solvant et quaerant faciem meam, in tribulatione sua me desiderent.
15 (UKJV) I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
