Kniha proroka Ozeáša

1 (KAT) Keď bol Izrael mladý, miloval som ho a z Egypta som povolal svojho syna.

5 (VUL) Revertetur in terram Aegypti, et Assur ipse rex eius, quoniam noluerunt converti.
5 (UKJV) He shall not return into the land of Egypt, and the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.

6 (KAT) Meč sa rozbehne po jeho mestách, vynivočí jeho vyberaných a pre ich zámery ich strávi.
6 (VUL) Saeviet gladius in civitatibus eius et consumet garrulos eius et comedet eos propter consilia eorum.
6 (UKJV) And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.

7 (UKJV) And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.

8 (KAT) Ako ťa vydám Efraim, odovzdám ťa, Izrael, ako ťa vydám sťa Adamu, urobím ťa podobným Seboimu? Srdce sa vo mne obracia, budí sa moje zľutovanie.
8 (VUL) Quomodo dabo te, Ephraim, tradam te, Israel? Quomodo dabo te sicut Adama, ponam te ut Seboim? Convertitur in me cor meum, simul exardescit miseratio mea.
8 (UKJV) How shall I give you up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver you, Israel? how shall I make you as Admah? how shall I set you as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.

9 (KAT) Nevylejem svoj rozpálený hnev, neznivočím zase Efraim, veď som ja Boh, a nie človek, Svätý uprostred teba; a nevojdem do mesta.
9 (VUL) Non faciam furorem irae meae, non convertar, ut disperdam Ephraim, quoniam Deus ego et non homo, in medio tui Sanctus et non veniam in terrore.
9 (UKJV) "I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of you: and I will not enter into the city. "

10 (KAT) Nech idú za Pánom; bude volať ako lev; až on bude volať, s triaškou pribehnú synovia od západu.
10 (VUL) Post Dominum ambulabunt; quasi leo rugiet, quia ipse rugiet, et in tremore accurrent filii ab occidente.
10 (UKJV) They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.

11 (KAT) Pribehnú ako vták z Egypta a ako holub z asýrskej krajiny a ubytujem ich v ich domoch - hovorí Pán.
11 (VUL) Et avolabunt quasi avis ex Aegypto et quasi columba de terra Assyriae; et collocabo eos in domibus suis, dicit Dominus.
11 (UKJV) They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, says the LORD.

12 (UKJV) Ephraim compasses me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet rules with God, and is faithful with the saints.
