1 (KAT) Kráľovstvo však dostal Dárius Médsky vo veku šesťdesiatich dvoch rokov.

1 (UKJV) "It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom; "

5 (VUL) unde principes et satrapae quaerebant, ut invenirent occasionem Danieli ex latere regni, nullamque causam et suspicionem reperire potuerunt, eo quod fidelis esset, et omnis culpa et suspicio non inveniretur in eo.
5 (UKJV) Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

6 (KAT) Vtedy tí mužovia povedali: „Nenájdeme na tomto Danielovi nijakú zádrapku, ak ju nenájdeme na ňom pre zákon jeho Boha.“

6 (UKJV) Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.

7 (UKJV) All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of you, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

8 (UKJV) Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which alters not.

9 (KAT) Preto, kráľu, vydaj rozkaz a podpíš písmo, ktoré podľa zákona Médov a Peržanov, ktorý je nezmeniteľný, nebude možno pozmeniť.“
9 (VUL) Nunc itaque, rex, confirma sententiam et signa decretum, ut non immutetur iuxta legem Medorum et Persarum, quam praevaricari non licet ”.
9 (UKJV) Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.

The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which alters not. "

15 (UKJV) Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establishes may be changed.

16 (KAT) Vtedy tí mužovia naliehali na kráľa a vraveli mu: „Vedz, kráľu, že u Médov a Peržanov je zákonom, že sa nesmie zmeniť nijaký zákaz alebo nariadenie, ktoré vydal kráľ!“
16 (VUL) Viri autem illi accesserunt ad regem et dixerunt ei: “ Scito, rex, quia lex Medorum est atque Persarum, ut omne decretum et edictum, quod constituit rex, non liceat immutari ”.
16 (UKJV) Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spoke and said unto Daniel, Your God whom you serve continually, he will deliver you.

17 (KAT) Nato kráľ vydal rozkaz, priviedli Daniela a hodili ho do levovej jamy. Kráľ povedal Danielovi: „Nech ťa vyslobodí tvoj Boh, ktorého vytrvalo ctíš!“

20 (UKJV) And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spoke and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?

21 (KAT) Ako sa blížil k jame, volal žalostným hlasom Daniela a vravel Danielovi: „Daniel, služobník živého Boha, vládal ťa tvoj Boh, ktorého vytrvalo ctíš, zachrániť od levov?“

23 (UKJV) Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

24 (KAT) Vtedy sa mu kráľ veľmi zaradoval a rozkázal Daniela vytiahnuť z jamy. Vytiahli teda Daniela z jamy a nenašli na ňom nijaký úraz, lebo dôveroval svojmu Bohu.
24 (VUL) Tunc rex vehementer gavisus est super eo et Danielem praecepit educi de lacu; eductusque est Daniel de lacu, et nulla laesio inventa est in eo, quia credidit Deo suo.
24 (UKJV) "And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces before even they came at the bottom of the den. "

27 (VUL) A me constitutum est decretum, ut in universo imperio regni mei tremescant et paveant Deum Danielis: ipse est enim Deus vivens et permanens in saecula, et regnum eius non dissipabitur, et potestas eius usque in aeternum;
27 (UKJV) He delivers and rescues, and he works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
