Kniha proroka Daniela

1 (UKJV) In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.
1 (ROH) Tretieho roku kraľovania Jehojakima, judského kráľa, prišiel Nabuchodonozor, babylonský kráľ, k Jeruzalemu a obľahol ho.
1 (RIV) Il terzo anno del regno di Joiakim, re di Giuda, Nebucadnetsar, re di Babilonia, venne contro Gerusalemme, e l’assediò.

2 (UKJV) "And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god. "
2 (ROH) A Pán vydal do jeho ruky Jehojakima, judského kráľa, i čiastku nádob domu Božieho, a dopravil ich do zeme Sineára, do domu svojho boha, a nádoby dopravil do domu pokladu svojho boha.
2 (RIV) Il Signore gli diede nelle mani Joiakim, re di Giuda, e una parte degli utensili della casa di Dio; e Nebucadnetsar portò gli utensili nel paese di Scinear, nella casa del suo dio, e li mise nella casa del tesoro del suo dio.

3 (UKJV) "And the king spoke unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes; "
3 (ROH) A kráľ povedal Ašpenázovi, náčelníkovi svojich dvoranínov, aby doviedol mládencov zo synov Izraelových, ako z kráľovského semena, tak aj z iných popredných,
3 (RIV) E il re disse a Ashpenaz, capo de’ suoi eunuchi, di menargli alcuni de’ figliuoli d’Israele di stirpe reale e di famiglie nobili,

4 (UKJV) Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.
4 (ROH) mládencov, na ktorých vraj nieto nijakej vady, ktorí sú pekného vzozrenia a sú dôvtipní v každej múdrosti, vyznajúci sa vo vede a rozumejúci umeniu, a v ktorých by bola sila stáť v paláci kráľovom, a aby ich vyučili písomníctvu a jazyku Chaldejov.
4 (RIV) giovani senza difetti fisici, belli d’aspetto, dotati d’ogni sorta di talenti, istruiti e intelligenti, tali che avessero attitudine a stare nel palazzo del re; e d’insegnar loro la letteratura e la lingua de’ Caldei.

5 (UKJV) And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's food, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.
5 (ROH) A kráľ im vydelil každý deň z výborného pokrmu kráľovského to, čo potrebovali na ktorý deň, i z vína, z ktorého sám pil, a nariadil vychovávať ich za tri roky a že keď sa dokončia tie roky majú stáť pred kráľom.
5 (RIV) Il re assegnò loro una porzione giornaliera delle vivande della mensa reale, e del vino ch’egli beveva; e disse di mantenerli per tre anni, dopo i quali sarebbero passati al servizio del re.

6 (UKJV) Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
6 (ROH) A boli medzi nimi zo synov Júdových Daniel, Chananiáš, Mišael a Azariáš.
6 (RIV) Or fra questi c’erano, di tra i figliuoli di Giuda, Daniele, Hanania, Mishael e Azaria;

7 (UKJV) "Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego. "
7 (ROH) A náčelník dvoranínov im dal iné mená a nazval Daniela Baltazárom, Chananiáša Sadrachom, Mišaela Mézachom a Azariáša Abednégom.
7 (RIV) e il capo degli eunuchi diede loro altri nomi: a Daniele pose nome Beltsatsar; ad Hanania, Shadrac; a Mishael, Meshac, e ad Azaria, Abed-nego.

8 (UKJV) But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's food, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
8 (ROH) A Daniel si položil na srdce, že sa nebude poškvrňovať pokrmom kráľovým a vínom, z ktorého on pije. A prosil náčelníka dvoranínov, žeby sa nemusel poškvrňovať.
8 (RIV) E Daniele prese in cuor suo la risoluzione di non contaminarsi con le vivande del re e col vino che il re beveva; e chiese al capo degli eunuchi di non obbligarlo a contaminarsi;

9 (UKJV) Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.
9 (ROH) A Bôh dal Daniela v milosť a zľutovanie pred náčelníkom dvoranínov.
9 (RIV) e Dio fece trovare a Daniele grazia e compassione presso il capo degli eunuchi.

10 (UKJV) And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse looking than the children which are of your sort? then shall all of you make me endanger my head to the king.
10 (ROH) Náčelník dvoranínov povedal Danielovi: Bojím sa svojho pána kráľa, ktorý vám vymeral váš pokrm a váš nápoj. Lebo veď prečo má vidieť vaše tváre mrzutejšie a biednejšie ako tváre druhých mládencov vášho veku? A tak uvalíte vinu na moju hlavu pred kráľom.
10 (RIV) E il capo degli eunuchi disse a Daniele: "Io temo il re, mio signore, il quale ha fissato il vostro cibo e le vostre bevande; e perché vedrebb’egli il vostro volto più triste di quello dei giovani della vostra medesima età? Voi mettereste in pericolo la mia testa presso il re".

11 (UKJV) Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
11 (ROH) A Daniel povedal správcovi, ktorého ustanovil náčelník dvoranínov nad Danielom, Chananiášom, Mišaelom a Azariášom:
11 (RIV) Allora Daniele disse al maggiordomo, al quale il capo degli eunuchi aveva affidato la cura di Daniele, di Hanania, di Mishael e d’Azaria:

12 (UKJV) "Prove your servants, I plead to you, ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat, and water to drink. "
12 (ROH) Zkús, prosím, svojich služobníkov desať dní, a nech nám dávajú strovu, a budeme jesť, a vodu, a budeme piť.
12 (RIV) "Ti prego, fa’ coi tuoi servi una prova di dieci giorni, e ci siano dati de’ legumi per mangiare, e dell’acqua per bere;

13 (UKJV) Then let our countenances be looked upon before you, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's food: and as you see, deal with your servants.
13 (ROH) A potom nech sa vidia pred tebou a posúdia naše tváre a tváre mládencov, ktorí jedia pokrm kráľov, a podľa toho, jako uvidíš, tak učiň so svojimi služobníkmi.
13 (RIV) poi ti si faccia vedere l’aspetto nostro e l’aspetto de’ giovani che mangiano le vivande del re; e secondo quel che vedrai, ti regolerai coi tuoi servi".

14 (UKJV) So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.
14 (ROH) A poslúchol ich v tej veci a zkúsil ich desať dní.
14 (RIV) Quegli accordò loro quanto domandavano, e li mise alla prova per dieci giorni.

15 (UKJV) And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's food.
15 (ROH) A po skončení desiatich dňov sa ukázalo, že ich tváre boly krásnejšie, a že boli tučnejší na tele od všetkých mládencov, ktorí jedli pokrm kráľov.
15 (RIV) E alla fine de’ dieci giorni, essi avevano migliore aspetto ed erano più grassi di tutti i giovani che aveano mangiato le vivande del re.

16 (UKJV) "Thus Melzar took away the portion of their food, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them vegetables. "
16 (ROH) A bolo tak, že správca odnášal ich kráľovský pokrm aj víno, ktoré mali piť, a dával im strovu.
16 (RIV) Così il maggiordomo portò via il cibo e il vino ch’eran loro destinati, e dette loro de’ legumi.

17 (UKJV) As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
17 (ROH) Týmto štyrom mládencom dal Bôh vedomosti a rozum, aby sa vyznali v každom liternom umení, a múdrosť, a krome toho Danielovi dal i to, aby rozumel každému videniu i snom.
17 (RIV) E a tutti questi quattro giovani Iddio dette conoscenza e intelligenza in tutta la letteratura, e sapienza; e Daniele s’intendeva d’ogni sorta di visioni e di sogni.

18 (UKJV) Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
18 (ROH) A keď sa dokončily dni, o ktorých povedal kráľ, že ich potom majú doviesť, doviedol ich náčelník dvoranínov pred Nabuchodonozora.
18 (RIV) E alla fine del tempo fissato dal re perché que’ giovani gli fossero menati, il capo degli eunuchi li presentò a Nebucadnetsar.

19 (UKJV) "And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. "
19 (ROH) A kráľ hovoril s nimi, a nenašiel sa z nich zo všetkých ani jeden taký, jako bol Daniel, Chananiáš, Mišael a Azariáš, a stávali pred kráľom.
19 (RIV) Il re parlò con loro; e fra tutti que’ giovani non se ne trovò alcuno che fosse come Daniele, Hanania, Mishael e Azaria; e questi furono ammessi al servizio del re.

20 (UKJV) And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.
20 (ROH) A v každej veci múdrosti a rozumnosti, na ktorú sa ich vypytoval kráľ, našiel ich desaťkrát zbehlejších nad všetkých učencov a hvezdárov, ktorí boli v celom jeho kráľovstve.
20 (RIV) E su tutti i punti che richiedevano sapienza e intelletto, e sui quali il re li interrogasse, il re li trovava dieci volte superiori a tutti i magi ed astrologi ch’erano in tutto il suo regno.

21 (UKJV) And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.
21 (ROH) A Daniel bol v tom postavení až do prvého roku panovania kráľa Cýra.
21 (RIV) Così continuò Daniele fino al primo anno del re Ciro.
