Kniha proroka Daniela

1 (UKJV) In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.
1 (HEM) בשנת שלוש למלכות יהויקים מלך יהודה בא נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל ירושלם ויצר עליה׃
1 (KAT) V treťom roku panovania júdskeho kráľa Joakima prišiel babylonský kráľ Nabuchodonozor k Jeruzalemu a obliehal ho.

2 (UKJV) "And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god. "
2 (HEM) ויתן אדני בידו את יהויקים מלך יהודה ומקצת כלי בית האלהים ויביאם ארץ שנער בית אלהיו ואת הכלים הביא בית אוצר אלהיו׃
2 (KAT) Pán mu vydal do ruky júdskeho kráľa Joakima a čiastku náradia Božieho domu, odniesol ich do krajiny Senaár, do domu svojho boha; nádoby zaniesol do klenotnice svojho boha.

3 (UKJV) "And the king spoke unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes; "
3 (HEM) ויאמר המלך לאשפנז רב סריסיו להביא מבני ישראל ומזרע המלוכה ומן הפרתמים׃
3 (KAT) Vtedy povedal kráľ Asfenezovi, svojmu veliteľovi eunuchov, aby zo synov Izraela, z kráľovského potomstva a spomedzi vznešených, priviedol

4 (UKJV) Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.
4 (HEM) ילדים אשר אין בהם כל מאום וטובי מראה ומשכילים בכל חכמה וידעי דעת ומביני מדע ואשר כח בהם לעמד בהיכל המלך וללמדם ספר ולשון כשדים׃
4 (KAT) mladíkov, na ktorých niet nijakej chyby, pekného zovňajšku, vnímavých pre každú múdrosť, vystrojených znalosťami a chápavých na vedomosti, ktorí by boli schopní stáť v kráľovskom paláci; a aby ich naučil chaldejskému písmu a reči.

5 (UKJV) And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's food, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.
5 (HEM) וימן להם המלך דבר יום ביומו מפת בג המלך ומיין משתיו ולגדלם שנים שלוש ומקצתם יעמדו לפני המלך׃
5 (KAT) Kráľ im na každý deň pridelil z kráľovského pokrmu a z vína, ktoré jemu slúžilo za nápoj, aby ich tri roky vychovávali a po ich uplynutí mali stáť pred kráľovou tvárou.

6 (UKJV) Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
6 (HEM) ויהי בהם מבני יהודה דניאל חנניה מישאל ועזריה׃
6 (KAT) Spomedzi Júdových synov boli medzi nimi Daniel, Ananiáš, Mízael a Azariáš.

7 (UKJV) "Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego. "
7 (HEM) וישם להם שר הסריסים שמות וישם לדניאל בלטשאצר ולחנניה שדרך ולמישאל מישך ולעזריה עבד נגו׃
7 (KAT) Veliteľ eunuchov im dal mená: Danielovi Baltazár, Ananiášovi Sidrach, Mízaelovi Misach a Azariášovi Abdenago.

8 (UKJV) But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's food, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
8 (HEM) וישם דניאל על לבו אשר לא יתגאל בפתבג המלך וביין משתיו ויבקש משר הסריסים אשר לא יתגאל׃
8 (KAT) Daniel si však zaumienil v srdci, že sa nepoškvrní kráľovým pokrmom ani vínom, ktoré píjal; prosil teda veliteľa eunuchov, aby sa nemusel poškvrniť.

9 (UKJV) Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.
9 (HEM) ויתן האלהים את דניאל לחסד ולרחמים לפני שר הסריסים׃
9 (KAT) A Boh spôsobil, že Daniel našiel milosť a priazeň u veliteľa eunuchov.

10 (UKJV) And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse looking than the children which are of your sort? then shall all of you make me endanger my head to the king.
10 (HEM) ויאמר שר הסריסים לדניאל ירא אני את אדני המלך אשר מנה את מאכלכם ואת משתיכם אשר למה יראה את פניכם זעפים מן הילדים אשר כגילכם וחיבתם את ראשי למלך׃
10 (KAT) Ale veliteľ eunuchov povedal Danielovi: „Bojím sa, že môj pán, kráľ, ktorý vám vydelil váš pokrm a nápoj, uvidí, že ste v tvári chudší, ako iní chlapci, vaši vrstovníci, a uvalíte mi pred kráľom vinu na hlavu.“

11 (UKJV) Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
11 (HEM) ויאמר דניאל אל המלצר אשר מנה שר הסריסים על דניאל חנניה מישאל ועזריה׃
11 (KAT) Vtedy Daniel povedal Malasarovi, ktorého veliteľ eunuchov postavil nad Daniela, Ananiáša, Mízaela a Azariáša:

12 (UKJV) "Prove your servants, I plead to you, ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat, and water to drink. "
12 (HEM) נס נא את עבדיך ימים עשרה ויתנו לנו מן הזרעים ונאכלה ומים ונשתה׃
12 (KAT) „Skús to so svojimi sluhami desať dní. Nech nám dajú na jedlo lúšteniny a na pitie vodu;

13 (UKJV) Then let our countenances be looked upon before you, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's food: and as you see, deal with your servants.
13 (HEM) ויראו לפניך מראינו ומראה הילדים האכלים את פתבג המלך וכאשר תראה עשה עם עבדיך׃
13 (KAT) nech sa potom ukážu pred tebou naše tváre a tváre chlapcov, ktorí jedia z kráľovho pokrmu, a potom nalož so svojimi sluhami, ako sa ti bude vidieť.“

14 (UKJV) So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.
14 (HEM) וישמע להם לדבר הזה וינסם ימים עשרה׃
14 (KAT) Privolil im teda v tejto veci a skúšal ich desať dní.

15 (UKJV) And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's food.
15 (HEM) ומקצת ימים עשרה נראה מראיהם טוב ובריאי בשר מן כל הילדים האכלים את פתבג המלך׃
15 (KAT) Po desiatich dňoch sa ukázalo, že ich tváre sú krajšie a telá tučnejšie ako všetkých chlapcov, ktorí jedli z kráľovho pokrmu.

16 (UKJV) "Thus Melzar took away the portion of their food, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them vegetables. "
16 (HEM) ויהי המלצר נשא את פתבגם ויין משתיהם ונתן להם זרענים׃
16 (KAT) Malasar im teda odňal pokrm a vína, ktoré mali piť, a dával im lúšteniny.

17 (UKJV) As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
17 (HEM) והילדים האלה ארבעתם נתן להם האלהים מדע והשכל בכל ספר וחכמה ודניאל הבין בכל חזון וחלמות׃
17 (KAT) Týmto štyrom mladíkom dal však Boh znalosť a pochop v každom písme a múdrosti. Daniel zas porozumel každé videnie a sen.

18 (UKJV) Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
18 (HEM) ולמקצת הימים אשר אמר המלך להביאם ויביאם שר הסריסים לפני נבכדנצר׃
18 (KAT) A po uplynutí dní, ktoré do ich predstavenia určil kráľ, predviedol ich veliteľ eunuchov pred Nabuchodonozora.

19 (UKJV) "And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. "
19 (HEM) וידבר אתם המלך ולא נמצא מכלם כדניאל חנניה מישאל ועזריה ויעמדו לפני המלך׃
19 (KAT) Kráľ sa s nimi rozprával a medzi všetkými nenašiel takých ako Daniel, Ananiáš, Mízael a Azariáš. Obsluhovali teda kráľa.

20 (UKJV) And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.
20 (HEM) וכל דבר חכמת בינה אשר בקש מהם המלך וימצאם עשר ידות על כל החרטמים האשפים אשר בכל מלכותו׃
20 (KAT) A vo všetkých veciach, (kde bolo treba) múdreho dôvtipu, na ktoré sa ich kráľ vypytoval, zistil, že sú desať ráz vyššie než všetci čarodeji a veštci, ktorí boli v celom jeho kráľovstve.

21 (UKJV) And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.
21 (HEM) ויהי דניאל עד שנת אחת לכורש המלך׃
21 (KAT) Daniel sa dožil až do prvého roku kráľa Kýra.
