Kniha proroka Ezechiela

1 (CPDV) And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
1 (KAT) Pán prehovoril ku mne takto:

2 (CPDV) “Son of man, set your face against mount Seir, and you shall prophesy about it, and you shall say to it:
2 (KAT) „Syn človeka, obráť si tvár proti vrchu Seir a prorokuj proti nemu.

3 (CPDV) Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, mount Seir, and I will extend my hand over you, and I will make you desolate and deserted.
3 (KAT) Povedz mu: Toto hovorí Pán, Jahve: Hľa, som proti tebe, vrch Seir, vystriem proti tebe svoju ruku a urobím ťa pustým a opusteným.

4 (CPDV) I will tear down your cities, and you will be deserted. And you shall know that I am the Lord.
4 (KAT) Z tvojich miest urobím zborenisko, ty však budeš spustnutý a budeš vedieť, že ja som Pán.

5 (CPDV) For you have been a continual adversary, and you have enclosed the sons of Israel, by the hands of the sword, in the time of their affliction, in the time of extreme iniquity.
5 (KAT) Pretože si prechovával večné nepriateľstvo a synov Izraela si vydal do moci meča v čase ich nešťastia, v čase krajnej viny,

6 (CPDV) Because of this, as I live, says the Lord God, I will hand you over to blood, and blood will pursue you. Even though you have hated blood, blood will pursue you.
6 (KAT) preto, ako žijem - hovorí Pán, Jahve -, obrátim ťa na krv a krv ťa bude stíhať. Preto, že si nenávidel krv, krv ťa bude stíhať.

7 (CPDV) And I will make mount Seir desolate and deserted. And I will take away from it the one who departs and the one who returns.
7 (KAT) Vrch Seir obrátim na púšť a vyhubím z neho, čo odchádza i prichádza.

8 (CPDV) And I will fill up its mountains with its slain. In your hills, and in your valleys, as well as in your torrents, the slain will fall by the sword.
8 (KAT) Jeho vrchy naplním prebodnutými: na tvojich kopcoch, v tvojich údoliach i vo všetkých tvojich riečiskách budú padať prebodnutí mečom.

9 (CPDV) I will hand you over to everlasting desolations, and your cities will not be inhabited. And you shall know that I am the Lord God.
9 (KAT) Večnou pustatinou ťa urobím a tvoje mestá nebudú obývané; i budete vedieť, že ja som Pán.

10 (CPDV) For you have said, ‘Two nations and two lands will be mine, and I will possess them as an inheritance,’ though the Lord was in that place.
10 (KAT) Pretože si povedal: »Oba národy a obe krajiny budú moje, opanujem ich,« hoci tam bol Pán,

11 (CPDV) Because of this, as I live, says the Lord God, I will act in accord with your own wrath, and in accord with your own zeal, by which you have acted with hatred toward them. And I will be made known by them, when I will have judged you.
11 (KAT) preto, ako žijem, hovorí Pán, Jahve, urobím podľa tvojho hnevu a podľa tvojej žiarlivosti, akou si vo svojej nenávisti nakladal s nimi, a dám sa im poznať, keď ťa budem súdiť.

12 (CPDV) And you shall know that I, the Lord, have heard all your disgraces, which you have spoken about the mountains of Israel, saying: ‘They are deserted. They have been given to us to devour.’
12 (KAT) Budeš teda vedieť, že ja som Pán. Počul som všetky tvoje rúhania, ktoré si vyriekol proti vrchom Izraela: »Pusté sú, nám sa dostali za pokrm.«

13 (CPDV) And you rose up against me with your mouth, and you disparaged against me with your words. I have heard.
13 (KAT) A svojimi ústami ste sa vyvyšovali nado mňa, kopili ste proti mne svoje reči, ja som to počul.

14 (CPDV) Thus says the Lord God: When the whole earth will rejoice, I will reduce you to solitude.
14 (KAT) Toto hovorí Pán, Jahve: Keď sa bude radovať celá zem, teba urobím pustatinou.

15 (CPDV) Just as you have rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, when it was laid waste, so will I act toward you. You will be laid waste, O mount Seir, with all of Idumea. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
15 (KAT) Ako si sa radoval nad dedičstvom Izraelovho domu, lebo bol pustý, tak naložím s tebou; budeš pustý, vrch Seir a celý Edom; i budú vedieť, že ja som Pán.
