Kniha proroka Ezechiela

1 (KAT) Pán prehovoril ku mne takto: „Syn človeka, hovor k synom svojho ľudu a povedz im:

1 (UKJV) Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 (KAT) Keď na krajinu privediem meč, vtedy si ľud krajiny vyberie zo svojho lona nejakého muža a ustanoví ho za strážcu.
2 (VUL) “ Fili ho minis, loquere ad filios populi tui et dices ad eos: Terra, cum induxero super eam gladium, et tulerit populus terrae virum unum de finibus suis et constituerit eum sibi speculatorem,
2 (UKJV) Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:

3 (KAT) Keď uzrie prichádzať meč proti krajine, zatrúbi na trúbu a bude varovať ľud.
3 (VUL) et ille viderit gladium venientem super terram et cecinerit bucina et annuntiaverit populo;

6 (UKJV) "But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. "

19 (KAT) A ak sa bezbožník odvráti od svojej bezbožnosti a bude konať podľa práva a spravodlivosti, tak ten preto bude žiť.
19 (VUL) et cum recesserit impius ab impietate sua feceritque iudicium et iustitiam, vivet in eis.
19 (UKJV) But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.

20 (KAT) A vy ste povedali: »Pánovo počínanie nie je správne.« Každého z vás, Izraelov dom, budem súdiť podľa jeho ciest.“
20 (VUL) Et dicitis: “Non est recta via Domini”. Unumquemque iuxta vias suas iudicabo de vobis, domus Israel ”.
20 (UKJV) Yet all of you say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O all of you house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

30 (UKJV) Also, you son of man, the children of your people still are talking against you by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that comes forth from the LORD.

31 (VUL) Et veniunt ad te quasi si conveniat populus, et sedent coram te populus meus; et audiunt sermones tuos et non faciunt eos, quia quasi amatores loquuntur, et avaritiam suam sequitur cor eorum.
31 (UKJV) And they come unto you as the people comes, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their covetousness.

32 (KAT) Ty si im však ako ľúbostný spevák, ktorý má pekný hlas a dobre vyhráva, počúvajú tvoje slová, ale nekonajú podľa nich.
32 (VUL) Et es eis quasi carmen amatorum, quod suavi voce et cum dulci chordarum sono canitur, et audiunt verba tua et non faciunt ea.
32 (UKJV) And, lo, you are unto them as a very lovely song of one that has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear your words, but they do them not.
