1 (CPDV) And it happened that, in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
1 (ROH) A zase bolo dvanásteho roku, dvanásteho mesiaca, prvého dňa toho mesiaca, že stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

2 (CPDV) “Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him: You are like the lion of the Gentiles, and like the dragon that is in the sea. And you brandished a horn among your rivers, and you disturbed the waters with your feet, and you trampled upon their rivers.
2 (ROH) Synu človeka, pozdvihni trúchlospev nad faraonom, egyptským kráľom, a povieš mu: Podobal si sa mladému ľvovi národov, ale ty si bol ako drak v moriach, vynoroval si sa vo svojich riekach, mútil si vody svojimi nohami a šliapal si ich rieky.

3 (CPDV) Because of this, thus says the Lord God: I will spread my net over you, with the multitude of many peoples, and I will draw you into my dragnet.
3 (ROH) Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Ale rozostriem na teba svoju sieť shromaždením mnohých národov, a vytiahnu ťa v mojom vleku.

4 (CPDV) And I will throw you upon the land. I will cast you upon the surface of the field. And I will cause all the birds of the air to live upon you. And I will satiate the beasts of the entire earth with you.
4 (ROH) A hodím ťa na zem, na šíre pole ťa šmarím a učiním to, že budú bývať na tebe všelijakí vtáci nebeskí a nasýtim tebou zver celej zeme.

5 (CPDV) And I will place your flesh upon the mountains. And I will fill up your hills with your decaying flesh.
5 (ROH) Dám tvoje telo na vrchy a vyplním doliny hromadou tvojich mŕtvol

6 (CPDV) And I will irrigate the earth with your rotting blood upon the mountains. And the valleys will be filled with you.
6 (ROH) a napojím zem, v ktorej plávaš, tvojou krvou až po vrchy, takže sa i potoky naplnia tebou.

7 (CPDV) And I will cover heaven, when you will have been extinguished. And I will cause its stars to grow dark. I will shroud the sun with gloom, and the moon will not give her light.
7 (ROH) A v tom, keď ťa vyhasím, zakryjem nebesia a oblečiem ich hviezdy v čierno; slnce zakryjem hustým oblakom, a mesiac nedá svietiť svojmu svetlu;

8 (CPDV) I will cause all the lights of heaven to grieve over you. And I will bring darkness upon your land, says the Lord God, when your wounded will have fallen in the midst of the land, says the Lord God.
8 (ROH) všetky svetelné telesá na nebi pokryjem pre teba v čierno a dám tmu na tvoju zem, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

9 (CPDV) And I will provoke the heart of many peoples to anger, when I will have led in your destruction among the Gentiles, over the lands that you have not known.
9 (ROH) A strápim srdce mnohých národov, keď zanesiem zvesť o tvojom skrúšení medzi národy, do zemí, ktorých si neznal.

10 (CPDV) And I will cause many peoples to be stupefied over you. And their kings will be afraid, with great horror, over you, when my sword will begin to fly above their faces. And suddenly, they will be struck with astonishment, each one concerning his own life, on the day of their ruination.
10 (ROH) A učiním to, aby sa desily nad tebou mnohé národy, a ich kráľovia sa budú náramne hroziť nad tebou, keď budem šermovať svojím mečom pred ich tvárou, a budú sa triasť každú chvíľu, každý za svoj život, v deň tvojho pádu.

11 (CPDV) For thus says the Lord God: The sword of the king of Babylon will come to you.
11 (ROH) Lebo takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Meč babylonského kráľa prijde na teba.

12 (CPDV) By the swords of the strong, I will cast down your multitude. All these nations are invincible, and they will lay waste to the arrogance of Egypt, and so its multitude will be destroyed.
12 (ROH) Mečami udatných porazím tvoje množstvo; ukrutní z národov sú všetci, koľko ich je a zkazia pýchu Egypta, a bude zahladené všetko jeho množstvo.

13 (CPDV) And I will perish all its cattle, which were above the many waters. And the foot of man will no longer disturb them, and the hoof of cattle will no longer trouble them.
13 (ROH) A vyhubím každé jeho hovädo spopri mnohých vôd, a nebude ich viacej mútiť noha človeka, ani ich nebude mútiť kopyto hoväda.

14 (CPDV) Then I will cause their waters to be very pure, and their rivers to be like oil, says the Lord God,
14 (ROH) Vtedy spôsobím to, aby opadly ich vody a ich rieky tiekly jako olej, hovorí Pán Hospodin,

15 (CPDV) when I will have set the land of Egypt in desolation. And the land will be deprived of her plenitude, when I will have struck all its inhabitants. And they shall know that I am the Lord.
15 (ROH) keď obrátim Egyptskú zem na pustinu a púšť, na zem, vyprázdnenú z jej plnosti, keď zbijem všetkých tých, ktorí bývajú v nej, a zvedia, že ja som Hospodin.

16 (CPDV) This is the lamentation. And they shall lament it. The daughters of the Gentiles shall lament it. They shall lament it over Egypt and over its multitude, says the Lord God.”
16 (ROH) To je trúchlospev, ktorý budú spievať nariekajúc; dcéry národov ho budú spievať nariekajúc; nad Egyptom i nad všetkým jeho množstvom ho budú spievať nariekajúc, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

17 (CPDV) And it happened that, in the twelfth year, on the fifteenth of the month, the word of the Lord came to me saying:
17 (ROH) A bolo dvanásteho roku, pätnásteho dňa toho mesiaca, že stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

18 (CPDV) “Son of man, sing mournfully over the multitude of Egypt. And cast her down, both her and the daughters of the robust nations, to the lowest part of the earth, with those who descend into the pit.
18 (ROH) Synu človeka, nariekaj nad množstvom Egypta a svrhni ho dolu, aj on, Egypt, i dcéry slávnych národov, do spodku zeme s tými, ktorí sostupujú do jamy.

19 (CPDV) Whom do you exceed in beauty? Descend and sleep with the uncircumcised!
19 (ROH) Nad koho si ty krásnejší? Sostúp a polož sa ležať s neobrezanými!

20 (CPDV) They will fall by the sword in the midst of the slain. The sword has been given. They have dragged her down, with all her people.
20 (ROH) Padnú medzi pobitými od meča; meč je daný; vlečte ho i všetky jeho množstvá!

21 (CPDV) The most powerful among the strong will speak to him from the midst of hell, those who descended with his helpers and who went to sleep uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
21 (ROH) Budú mu hovoriť najsilnejší z hrdinov zprostred pekla s tými, ktorí mu pomáhali: Sostúpili, ležia neobrezanci, pobití mečom.

22 (CPDV) Assur is in that place, with all his multitude. Their graves are all around him: all of the slain and those who fell by the sword.
22 (ROH) Tam je Assúr i všetko jeho shromaždenie; jeho hroby sú vôkol neho; všetci sú pobití, padli od meča,

23 (CPDV) Their graves have been placed in the lowest parts of the pit. And his multitude was stationed on all sides of his grave: all of the slain, and those who fell by the sword, who formerly spread terror in the land of the living.

24 (CPDV) Elam is in that place, with all his multitude, on all sides of his grave, all those who were slain or who fell by the sword, who descended uncircumcised to the lowest part of the earth, who caused their terror in the land of the living. And they have borne their disgrace, with those who descend into the pit.
24 (ROH) Tam je Élam i všetko jeho množstvo vôkol jeho pohrobišťa, všetko pobití, padlí od meča, ktorí sostúpili neobrezaní do spodku zeme, ktorí púšťali svoj strach v zemi živých, a nesú svoju potupu s tými, ktorí sostupujú do jamy.

25 (CPDV) They have appointed him a place to lie among all his people, in the midst of the slain. Their graves are all around him. All these are uncircumcised and were slain by the sword. For they spread their terror in the land of the living, and they have borne their disgrace, with those who descend into the pit. They have been stationed in the midst of the slain.
25 (ROH) Medzi pobitými mu dali ležisko so všetkým jeho množstvom; jeho hroby sú vôkol neho, vôkol jeho kráľa, všetko neobrezanci, pobití mečom, lebo ich strach sa púšťal v zemi živých, a tak nesú svoju potupu s tými, ktorí sostupujú do jamy; medzi pobitých je daný.

26 (CPDV) Meshech and Tubal are in that place, with all their multitude. Their graves are all around him: all these are uncircumcised, and they were slain and fell by the sword. For they spread their terror in the land of the living.
26 (ROH) Tam je Mešech, Túbal i všetko jeho množstvo, jeho hroby vôkol neho, všetko neobrezanci, pobití mečom, pretože púšťali svoj strach v zemi živých.

27 (CPDV) But they shall not sleep with the strong, and with those who also fell uncircumcised, who descended to hell with their weapons, and who placed their swords under their heads, while their iniquities were in their bones. For they were the terror of the strong in the land of the living.
27 (ROH) A nebudú ležať s hrdinami, padlými z neobrezancov, ktorí sostúpili do pekla so svojimi vojennými nástrojami, a dali svoje meče pod svoje hlavy, a tak je ich neprávosť na ich kostiach, pretože boli postrachom hrdinov v zemi živých.

28 (CPDV) Therefore, you also will be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and you will sleep with those who were slain by the sword.
28 (ROH) Ale ty budeš skrúšený medzi neobrezancami a budeš ležať s pobitými od meča.

29 (CPDV) Idumea is in that place, with her kings and all her commanders, who with their army have been given to those who were slain by the sword. And they have slept with the uncircumcised and with those who descend into the pit.
29 (ROH) Tam je Edom, jeho kráľovia i všetky jeho kniežatá, ktorí sú vydaní aj so svojím hrdinstvom, aby boli jedno s pobitými od meča; ležia s neobrezancami a s tými, ktorí sostupujú do jamy.

30 (CPDV) All the leaders of the north are in that place, with all the hunters, who were brought down with the slain, fearful and confounded in their strength, who have gone to sleep uncircumcised, with those who were slain by the sword. And they have borne their disgrace, with those who descend into the pit.
30 (ROH) Tam sú kniežatá severa, všetky, koľko ich bolo, i všetci Sidonci, ktorí sostúpili s pobitými, so svojím strachom hanbiac sa za svoje hrdinstvo a budú ležať, neobrezanci, s pobitými od meča a ponesú svoju potupu s tými, ktorí sostupujú do jamy.

31 (CPDV) Pharaoh saw them, and he was consoled over all his multitude, which was slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his army, says the Lord God.
31 (ROH) Tých uvidí faraon a poteší sa i so všetkým svojím množstvom; mečom pobití budú faraon i všetko jeho vojsko, hovorí Pán Hospodin,

32 (CPDV) For I have spread my terror in the land of the living, and he has gone to sleep in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those who were slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord God.”
32 (ROH) pretože som bol pustil jeho strach v zemi živých, a tak bude položený ležať medzi neobrezancami s pobitými od meča, faraon i všetko jeho množstvo, hovorí Pán Hospodin.
