1 (KJV) The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
1 (B21) Dostal jsem slovo Hospodinovo:

2 (KJV) Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Howl ye, Woe worth the day
2 (B21) "Prorokuj, synu člověčí. Řekni: Tak praví Panovník Hospodin - Kvílejte: ‚Ach ten den!'

3 (KJV) For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.
3 (B21) Neboť je blízko onen den, Hospodinův den blíží se. Den zahalený oblaky - přichází čas pro národy!

4 (KJV) And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.
4 (B21) Na Egypt přijde meč a úzkost na Habeš. Až budou v Egyptě padat mrtvoly, poberou jeho bohatství a zboří jeho základy.

5 (KJV) Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.
5 (B21) Habeš i Libye, Lydie i celá Arábie, Kub i lid spojenecké země, ti všichni padnou mečem spolu s Egyptem.

6 (KJV) Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.
6 (B21) Tak praví Hospodin: Padnou pomocníci Egypta, jeho pyšná moc se zhroutí. Od Migdolu až po Asuán budou mečem koseni, praví Panovník Hospodin!

7 (KJV) And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.
7 (B21) Egypt bude nejpustější ze všech zpustošených zemí a jeho města budou nejzbořenější ze všech měst.

8 (KJV) And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.
8 (B21) Tehdy poznají, že já jsem Hospodin, až v Egyptě zapálím oheň a jeho spojenci budou zničeni.

9 (KJV) In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.
9 (B21) V onen den ode mě vyrazí poslové na lodích, aby vyplašili Habešany z jejich bezpečí. V den Egypta budou sevřeni úzkostí. Hle - už to přichází!

10 (KJV) Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.
10 (B21) Tak praví Panovník Hospodin: Skrze babylonského krále Nabukadnezara skoncuji s egyptskými hordami.

11 (KJV) He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.
11 (B21) On a jeho vojsko, nejukrutnější z pohanů, budou posláni vyplenit zemi. Vytasí meče na Egypt a naplní tu zemi padlými.

12 (KJV) And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken it.
12 (B21) Tehdy vysuším vody Nilu a prodám tu zemi zloduchům. Tu zemi i všechno v ní zpustoším rukou cizáků. To říkám já Hospodin.

13 (KJV) Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.
13 (B21) Tak praví Panovník Hospodin: Vymýtím hnusné modly a s memfiskými bůžky skoncuji. V Egyptě už nikdy nepovstane vládce a já naplním egyptskou zem strachem.

14 (KJV) And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No.
14 (B21) Zpustoším Horní Egypt, vypálím Soan a v Thébách vykonám své rozsudky.

15 (KJV) And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.
15 (B21) Na Pelusium, egyptskou pevnost, vyliji svůj hněv a thébské hordy vyhladím.

16 (KJV) And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily.
16 (B21) Zažehnu v Egyptě takový oheň, že se Pelusium bude svíjet v bolestech, Théby budou vzaty útokem a Memfis sevřou nepřátelé za bílého dne.

17 (KJV) The young men of Aven and of Pi-beseth shall fall by the sword: and these cities shall go into captivity.
17 (B21) Mládenci z Heliopole a Bubastis padnou mečem a dívky půjdou do zajetí.

18 (KJV) At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.
18 (B21) V Dafné nastane temný den, až tam rozlámu egyptské jho a skončí tam jeho pyšná moc. To město tehdy přikryjí mraky a jeho dcery půjdou do zajetí.

19 (KJV) Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
19 (B21) Vykonám v Egyptě své rozsudky a poznají, že já jsem Hospodin."

20 (KJV) And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
20 (B21) Sedmého dne prvního měsíce jedenáctého roku jsem dostal slovo Hospodinovo:

21 (KJV) Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.
21 (B21) "Synu člověčí, přerazil jsem paži faraona, krále Egypta. Vidíš? Není ovázána ani léčena, nedostal dlahu ani žádný převaz, aby měl znovu sílu třímat meč.

22 (KJV) Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.
22 (B21) Nuže, tak praví Panovník Hospodin: Hle - jsem proti faraonovi, králi Egypta! Přerazím mu obě paže, tu zdravou i tu zlomenou, a vyrazím mu z ruky meč.

23 (KJV) And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
23 (B21) Rozptýlím Egypťany mezi národy a rozpráším je po zemích.

24 (KJV) And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.
24 (B21) Paže babylonského krále posílím a svůj vlastní meč mu vložím do ruky, ale faraonovy paže zpřerážím, takže před ním bude sténat, jako sténají ranění.

25 (KJV) But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.
25 (B21) Paže babylonského krále posílím, ale faraonovy paže budou svěšeny. Tak poznají, že já jsem Hospodin, až vložím svůj meč babylonskému králi do ruky a on jej napřáhne na Egypt.

26 (KJV) And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
26 (B21) Až rozptýlím Egypťany mezi národy a rozpráším je po zemích, poznají, že já jsem Hospodin."
