1 (KJV) And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
1 (KAT) I riekol mi: „Syn človeka, postav sa na nohy, chcem s tebou hovoriť.“
2 (KJV) And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.
2 (KAT) A kým ku mne hovoril, vstúpil do mňa duch, postavil ma na nohy a počul som toho, čo ku mne hovoril.
3 (KJV) And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.
3 (KAT) I riekol mi: „Syn človeka, posielam ťa k synom Izraela, k vzbúreneckým pohanom, ktorí sa mi vzopreli. Hrešili proti mne oni aj ich otcovia až po dnešný deň.
4 (KJV) For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.
4 (KAT) Synovia majú stŕpnutú tvár a zatvrdnuté srdce; posielam ťa k nim, povedz im: »Toto hovorí Pán, Jahve.«
5 (KJV) And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.
5 (KAT) A oni, či počúvnu a či si nepovšimnú - veď sú odbojný dom -, dozvedia sa, že bol medzi nimi prorok.
6 (KJV) And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
6 (KAT) Ty sa ich však, syn človeka, neboj ani ich rečí sa neboj, hoci budú pri tebe ako tŕnie a bodľač a budeš bývať medzi škorpiónmi. Ich rečí sa neboj a ich samých sa nestrachuj, veď sú odbojný dom!
7 (KJV) And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
7 (KAT) A budeš k nim hovoriť moje reči, či počúvnu a či si nepovšimnú, veď sú odbojní!
8 (KJV) But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
8 (KAT) Ty teda počúvaj, čo ti hovorím: Nebuď odbojný ako ten odbojný dom, otvor si ústa a zjedz, čo ti ja dám.“
9 (KJV) And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
9 (KAT) Díval som sa a hľa, oproti mne vystretá ruka a v nej zvitok knihy.
10 (KJV) And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
10 (KAT) Nato ju roztvoril predo mnou a bola popísaná na prednej i zadnej strane. Boli v nej napísané žalospevy a vzdychanie a beda.

Verš 8
But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
Zjv 10:9 - And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.
Ez 3:24 - Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.
Dan 10:10 - And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.
Jer 3:25 - We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.

And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.
Ez 33:33 - And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.
Verš 6
And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
Jer 1:8 - Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
Jer 1:17 - Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.
Lk 12:4 - And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
Ez 3:9 - As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
1Pt 3:14 - But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
Ez 2,1 - Oslovenie "Syn človeka" má prorokovi pripomínať jeho ľudskú slabosť. Naopak u Dan 7,13 sa týmto názvom označuje aj Mesiáš a Kristus Pán sám sa často volá Synom človeka.
Ez 2,4 - Slová "Toto hovorí Pán, Jahve" budú úvodom všetkých prorokových rečí, ktoré bude hovoriť v mene Pánovom.
Ez 2,10 - O zvitku pozri pozn. k Iz 34,4. Obyčajne písavali len na jednu stranu; tento zvitok bol popísaný na obidvoch stranách.
