Ez 14, 1-23

1 (CPDV) And men among the elders of Israel came to me, and they sat down before me.
1 (ROH) Potom prišli ku mne nejakí mužovia zo starších Izraelových a sedeli predo mnou.

2 (CPDV) And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 (ROH) A stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

3 (CPDV) “Son of man, these men have placed their uncleanness in their hearts, and they have stationed the scandal of their iniquities before their face. So why should I respond when they inquire of me?
3 (ROH) Synu človeka, títo mužovia vzložili svojich ukydaných bohov na svoje srdce a závadu padnúť do svojej neprávosti položili pred svoju tvár. Či by sa ma tí mali pýtať, a ja im odpovedať?

4 (CPDV) Because of this, speak to them, and you shall say to them: Thus says the Lord God: The man, the man of the house of Israel, who places his uncleanness in his heart, and who stations the scandal of his iniquities before his face, and who approaches a prophet, so as to inquire of me through him: I, the Lord, will respond to him in accord with the multitude of his uncleannesses,
4 (ROH) Preto im hovor a povieš im: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Každému z domu Izraelovho, kto by si vzložil svojich ukydaných bohov na svoje srdce a závadu padať do svojej neprávosti by položil pred svoju tvár a prišiel by k prorokovi, tomu ja Hospodin odpoviem podľa toho, podľa množstva jeho ukydaných bohov,

5 (CPDV) so that the house of Israel may be seized within their own heart, by which they have withdrawn from me to all their idols.
5 (ROH) aby som lapil dom Izraelov za ich srdce, pretože odcudziac sa mi odvrátili sa odo mňa pre svojich ukydaných bohov, všetci, koľko ich je.

6 (CPDV) Because of this, say to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord God: Be converted, and withdraw from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations.
6 (ROH) Preto povedz domu Izraelovmu: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Obráťte sa a odvráťte od svojich ukydaných bohov a od všetkých svojich ohavností odvráťte svoju tvár!

7 (CPDV) For the man, the man of the house of Israel, and the new arrival among the converts who may be in Israel, if he is alienated from me, and he sets his idols in his heart, and he stations the scandal of his iniquity before his face, and he approaches the prophet, so that he may inquire of me through him: I, the Lord, will respond to him through myself.

8 (CPDV) And I will set my face against that man, and I will make him an example and a proverb. And I will perish him from the midst of my people. And you shall know that I am the Lord.
8 (ROH) A obrátim svoju tvár proti tomu človekovi a zdrtím ho tak, že bude za znamenie a príslovia, a vytnem ho zpomedzi svojho ľudu, a zviete, že ja som Hospodin.

9 (CPDV) And when a prophet has gone astray and has spoken a word: I, the Lord, have deceived that prophet. And I will extend my hand over him, and I will wipe him away from the midst of my people, Israel.
9 (ROH) A prorok, keby sa dal naviesť, a hovoril by slovo, ja Hospodin navediem toho proroka a vystriem svoju ruku na neho a vyhladím ho zpomedzi svojho ľudu Izraela.

10 (CPDV) And they shall bear their iniquity. In accord with the iniquity of the one who inquires, so shall the iniquity of the prophet be.
10 (ROH) A tak ponesú svoju neprávosť; aká bude neprávosť toho, kto sa bude pýtať, taká bude i neprávosť prorokova,

11 (CPDV) So may the house of Israel no longer go astray from me, nor be polluted by all their transgressions. Instead, may they be my people, and may I be their God, says the Lord of hosts.”
11 (ROH) aby neblúdili viacej, dom Izraelov, nenasledujúc ma ani aby sa nepoškvrňovali viacej všelijakými svojimi prestúpeniami, ale aby mi boli ľudom, a ja im budem Bohom, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

12 (CPDV) And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
12 (ROH) A stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

13 (CPDV) “Son of man, when a land will have sinned against me, so that it transgresses grievously, I will extend my hand over it, and I will crush the staff of its bread. And I will send a famine upon it, and I will destroy from it both man and beast.
13 (ROH) Synu človeka, keby zhrešila proti mne zem dopustiac sa nevernosti, a keby som vystrel na ňu svoju ruku a polámal by som jej palicu chleba a poslal by som na ňu hlad a vyplienil by som z nej človeka i hovädo,

14 (CPDV) And if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver their own souls by their justice, says the Lord of hosts.
14 (ROH) a keby boli v nej títo traja mužovia: Noach, Daniel a Job, oni vo svojej spravedlivosti by vytrhli len svoju dušu, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

15 (CPDV) And if I also lead in very harmful beasts upon the land, so that I devastate it, and it becomes impassable, so that no one may cross through it because of the beasts,
15 (ROH) Keby som uviedol ľútu zver na zem, a osirotila by ju, a bola by pustá na toľko, že by neišiel nikto cez ňu pre zver,

16 (CPDV) if these three men were in it, as I live, says the Lord God, they will deliver neither sons, nor daughters. But only they themselves will be delivered, for the land shall be desolated.
16 (ROH) hoci by boli títo traja mužovia v nej, ako že ja žijem, hovorí Pán Hospodin, nevytrhli by synov ani dcér; oni sami by boli vytrhnutí, a zem by bola pustinou.

17 (CPDV) Or if I lead in the sword upon that land, and if I say to the sword, ‘Pass through the land,’ and so I destroy from it both man and beast,
17 (ROH) Alebo keby som uviedol meč na tú zem a keby som povedal: Meču, prejdi zemou! a keby som z nej vyplienil človeka i hovädo,

18 (CPDV) and if these three men were in its midst, as I live, says the Lord God, they will deliver neither sons, nor daughters, but only they themselves will be delivered.
18 (ROH) a čo by boli títo traja mužovia v nej, ako že ja žijem, hovorí Pán Hospodin, nevytrhli by synov ani dcér, ale iba oni sami by boli vytrhnutí.

19 (CPDV) Then, if I also send the pestilence upon that land, and I pour out my indignation upon it with blood, so that I take away from it both man and beast,
19 (ROH) Alebo keby som poslal mor na tú istú zem a vylial by som na ňu svoju prchlivosť v krvi, aby som vyplienil z nej človeka i hovädo,

20 (CPDV) and if Noah, and Daniel, and Job were in its midst, as I live, says the Lord God, they will deliver neither son, nor daughter, but they will deliver only their own souls by their justice.
20 (ROH) a Noach, Daniel a Job by boli v nej, ako že ja žijem, hovorí Pán Hospodin, že by nevytrhli syna ani dcéry; oni vo svojej spravedlivosti by vytrhli iba svoju dušu.

21 (CPDV) For thus says the Lord God: Even though I will send upon Jerusalem my four most grievous judgments, sword and famine and harmful beasts and pestilence, so that I destroy from it both man and beast,
21 (ROH) Lebo takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Tým menej vytrhnú potom, keď pošlem svoje štyri zlé súdy, meč a hlad a ľútu zver a mor na Jeruzalem vyplieniť z neho človeka i hovädo!

22 (CPDV) yet still there shall be left within it some who will be saved, who shall lead away their own sons and daughters. Behold, they will enter to you, and you will see their way and their accomplishments. And you shall be consoled concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, concerning all the things that I have brought to bear upon it.
22 (ROH) A hľa, pozostane v ňom niečo uniklé, tí, ktorí budú vyvedení von, synovia a dcéry; hľa, tí vyjdú k vám, a uvidíte ich cestu a ich skutky a potešíte sa nad zlom, ktoré uvediem na Jeruzalem, nad všetkým tým, čo uvediem naň.

23 (CPDV) And they shall console you, when you see their ways and their accomplishments. And you shall know that I have not acted to no purpose in all that I have done within it, says the Lord God.”
23 (ROH) A potešia vás, keď uvidíte ich cestu a ich skutky a zviete, že nie darmo som učinil všetko to, čo som učinil na ňom, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

Verš 13

Ez 4:16 - And he said to me: “Son of man, behold: I will crush the staff of bread in Jerusalem. And they will eat bread by weight and with anxiety. And they will drink water by measure and with anguish.

Ez 13:9 - And my hand will be over the prophets who are seeing emptiness and divining lies. They shall not be in the council of my people, and they shall not be written in the writing of the house of Israel. Neither shall they enter into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the Lord God.
