2 (UKJV) Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.

3 (KAT) Nemáme otca, sme siroty, naše matky sú vdovy.
3 (VUL) Pupilli facti sumus absque patre, matres nostrae quasi viduae.
3 (UKJV) We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.

4 (KAT) Vodu sme pili za peniaze, drevo sme dostali za plácu.
4 (VUL) Aquam nostram pecunia bibimus, ligna nostra pretio comparamus.
4 (UKJV) "We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us. "

5 (KAT) Na krku máme stíhateľov, uštvaní, bez odpočinku sme.
5 (VUL) Iugum in cervicibus nostris minamur; lassis non datur requies.
5 (UKJV) Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest.

6 (KAT) K Egyptu sme dvíhali ruku a k Asýrsku, aby sme sa nasýtili chleba.
6 (VUL) Aegyptiis dedimus manum et Assyriis, ut saturaremur pane.
6 (UKJV) We have given the hand to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.

7 (KAT) Naši otcovia zhrešili a niet ich, my vlečieme ich vinu.
7 (VUL) Patres nostri peccaverunt et non sunt, et nos iniquitates eorum portamus.
7 (UKJV) "Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities. "

8 (KAT) Otroci panujú nad nami, z ich ruky nás nevytrhne nik.
8 (VUL) Servi dominantur nostri; non est qui redimat de manu eorum.
8 (UKJV) Servants have ruled over us: there is none that does deliver us out of their hand.

9 (UKJV) We got our bread with the peril of our lives because of the sword of the wilderness.

10 (UKJV) Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.

11 (KAT) Zhanobili ženy na Sione a panny v júdskych mestách.
11 (VUL) Mulieres in Sion humiliaverunt et virgines in civitatibus Iudae.
11 (UKJV) They ravished the women in Zion, and the maids in the cities of Judah.

12 (KAT) Ich ruky vešali kniežatá, starcov si nevážili.
12 (VUL) Principes manu eorum suspensi sunt; facies senum honorem non habuerunt.
12 (UKJV) Princes are hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured.

13 (KAT) Mladíci nosia mlynček, pod drevom klesajú chlapci.
13 (VUL) Adulescentes molam portaverunt, et pueri sub lignis corruerunt.
13 (UKJV) They took the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood.

14 (KAT) Pri bránach nieto starcov, pri hudbe niet mladíkov.
14 (VUL) Senes deficiunt de portis, iuvenes de choro psallentium.
14 (UKJV) The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their music.

15 (KAT) Prestala radosť nášho srdca, tanec sa zmenil na žiaľ.
15 (VUL) Defecit gaudium cordis nostri; versus est in luctum chorus noster.
15 (UKJV) "The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning. "

16 (KAT) Koruna padla z našej hlavy, beda nám, zhrešili sme.
16 (VUL) Cecidit corona capitis nostri; vae nobis, quia peccavimus!
16 (UKJV) The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!

17 (KAT) Preto je biedne naše srdce, preto nám stemneli oči.
17 (VUL) Propterea maestum factum est cor nostrum, ideo contenebrati sunt oculi nostri,
17 (UKJV) "For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim. "

18 (KAT) Pretože vrch Sion spustol, líšky sa vláčia po ňom.
18 (VUL) propter montem Sion, quia desolatus est: vulpes ambulant in eo.
18 (UKJV) Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.

19 (KAT) Ty, Pane, trváš večne, tvoj trón z pokolenia na pokolenie.
