(KAT - Katolícky preklad)

Nár 4, 1-22

1 (KAT)AlefAko sa zatemnilo zlato, zmenil sa šľachtený kov! Sväté kamene ležia roztratené po rohoch všetkých ulíc.
1 (VUL) ALEPH. Quomodo obscuratum est aurum, mutatum est obryzum optimum! Dispersi sunt lapides sancti in capite omnium platearum.
1 (UKJV) How is the gold become dim! how is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street.

2 (KAT)BetSiona synov vzácnych, odvažovaných zlatom, pokladali za nádoby z hliny, dielo hrnčiarových rúk!
2 (VUL) BETH. Filii Sion incliti et ponderati auro primo, quomodo reputati sunt in vasa testea, opus manuum figuli!
2 (UKJV) The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

3 (VUL) GHIMEL. Sed et thoes nudaverunt mammam, lactaverunt catulos suos; filia populi mei crudelis quasi struthio in deserto.
3 (UKJV) Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.

4 (KAT)DaletDojčaťu prischol jazyk k ďasnám od smädu; deti si prosili chlieb, a nebolo, kto by im ho lámal.
4 (VUL) DALETH.
4 (UKJV) The tongue of the nursing infant cleaves to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread, and no man breaks it unto them.

5 (VUL) HE.
5 (UKJV) They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills.

6 (KAT)VauVäčší bol zločin dcéry môjho ľudu než hriech Sodomy. Tá bola vyvrátená razom, ruky neustali v nej.
6 (VUL) VAU.
6 (UKJV) For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.

7 (KAT)ZainČistejší než sneh boli jeho nazirejci, beleli sa nad mlieko, ružovší boli nad koraly, postava ich sťa zafír.
7 (VUL) ZAIN. Candidiores nazaraei eius nive, nitidiores lacte, rubicundiores in corpore coralliis, sapphirus aspectus eorum.
7 (UKJV) Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more rosy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire:

8 (UKJV) "Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaves to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick. "

9 (KAT)TetŠťastnejší boli tí, ktorých pozrážal meč, než tí, ktorých pozrážal hlad; veď títo schradli, zrazila ich neplodnosť poľa!
9 (VUL) TETH. Melius fuit occisis gladio quam interfectis fame, quoniam isti extabuerunt consumpti a sterilitate terrae.
9 (UKJV) They that be slain with the sword are better than they that be slain with hunger: for these pine away, stricken through for lack of the fruits of the field.

10 (KAT)JodRuky jemnocitných žien piekli si vlastné dietky, ich pokrmom sa stali, keď mrela dcéra môjho ľudu.
10 (VUL) IOD. Manus mulierum misericordium coxerunt filios suos: facti sunt cibus earum in contritione filiae populi mei.
10 (UKJV) The hands of the pitiful women have sodden their own children: they were their food in the destruction of the daughter of my people.

11 (KAT)KafPán už dovŕšil svoju prchkosť, vylial svoj hnev žeravý, podpálil na Sione oheň, ktorý mu hltal základy.
11 (VUL) CAPH.
11 (UKJV) "The LORD has accomplished his fury; he has poured out his fierce anger, and has kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured the foundations thereof. "

12 (KAT)LamedKráli zeme neuverili, občania sveta tiež nie, že by odporca a nepriateľ vkročil do brán Jeruzalema.
12 (VUL) LAMED.
12 (UKJV) The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should have entered into the gates of Jerusalem.

13 (UKJV) For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her,

14 (UKJV) They have wandered as blind men in the streets, they have polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.

15 (UKJV) "They cried unto them, Depart all of you; it is unclean; depart, depart, touch not: when they fled away and wandered, they said among the heathen, They shall no more sojourn there. "

16 (UKJV) "The anger of the LORD has divided them; he will no more regard them: they respected not the persons of the priests, they favoured not the elders. "

17 (UKJV) As for us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain help: in our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save us.

18 (KAT)SadeNa naše kroky poľovali, bránili vkročiť na ulice. Prišiel náš koniec, došli nám dni, veru náš koniec prišiel.
18 (VUL) SADE.
18 (UKJV) "They hunt our steps, that we cannot go in our streets: our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end has come. "

19 (VUL) COPH. Velociores fuerunt persecutores nostri aquilis caeli; super montes persecuti sunt nos, in deserto insidiati sunt nobis.
19 (UKJV) Our persecutors are swifter than the eagles of the heaven: they pursued us upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness.

20 (KAT)RešDych našich nozdier, pomazaný Pánov, chytil sa do ich jám, o ktorom sme vraveli: „V jeho tôni budeme bývať medzi národmi.“
20 (VUL) RES. Spiritus oris nostri, unctus Domini, captus est in foveis eorum, de quo dicebamus: “ Sub umbra sua vivemus in gentibus ”.
20 (UKJV) The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the LORD, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the heathen.

21 (KAT)ŠinDcéra edomská, plesaj, teš sa, občianka krajiny Us! I k tebe príde kalich, opiješ, obnažíš sa.
21 (VUL) SIN.
21 (UKJV) "Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwell in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto you: you shall be drunken, and shall make yourself naked. "

22 (KAT)TauDcéra sionská, dovŕšil sa tvoj hriech, už ťa viac nedá do zajatia. Stresce tvoju vinu, dcéra Edomu, tvoje hriechy odhalí.
22 (VUL) THAU.
22 (UKJV) "The punishment of your iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry you away into captivity: he will visit your iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will discover your sins. "

Nar 4,9 - O hlade v Jeruzaleme pozri 1,11.19; 2,12.20; 4,3-4; porov. pozn. k Jer 19,9; 38,9.

úvod ku Knihe Jeremiášovej a Jer 37,5 n.
