8 (UKJV) Also when I cry and shout, he shuts out my prayer.

14 (UKJV) "I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day. "
15 (KAT)HeHorkosťou ma nasýtil, opojil ma palinou.
15 (VUL) HE. Replevit me amaritudinibus, inebriavit me absinthio.
15 (UKJV) He has filled me with bitterness, he has made me drunken with wormwood.
16 (KAT)VauZuby mi zodral štrkom, nachoval ma popolom.
16 (VUL) VAU. Et fregit in glarea dentes meos, depressit me cinere.
16 (UKJV) He has also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he has covered me with ashes.

17 (VUL) VAU. Et repulsa est a pace anima mea, oblitus sum bonorum.
17 (UKJV) And you have removed my soul far off from peace: I forgotten about prosperity.
18 (KAT)VauVravel som: „Zmizla moja hrdosť, tiež moja nádej v Pána.“
18 (VUL) VAU. Et dixi: “ Periit splendor meus et spes mea a Domino ”.
18 (UKJV) And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:
19 (KAT)ZainSpomeň si na moju biedu, utýranosť, na palinu a otravu.
19 (VUL) ZAIN. Recordare paupertatis et peregrinationis meae, absinthii et fellis.
19 (UKJV) Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
20 (KAT)ZainV spomienke je stále schúlená moja dušička vo mne.
20 (VUL) ZAIN. Memoria memor est et tabescit in me anima mea.
20 (UKJV) My soul has them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
21 (KAT)ZainToto si beriem k srdcu, pre toto budem dúfať.
21 (VUL) ZAIN. Haec recolam in corde meo, ideo sperabo.
21 (UKJV) This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 (KAT)ChetLáskavosť Pána, že nám nie je koniec, veď jeho milosť nepomíňa,
22 (VUL) HETH. Misericordiae Domini, quia non sumus consumpti, quia non defecerunt miserationes eius.
22 (UKJV) It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 (KAT)Chetobnovuje sa každým ránom; veľká je tvoja vernosť.
23 (VUL) HETH. Novae sunt omni mane, magna est fides tua.
23 (UKJV) They are new every morning: great is your faithfulness.
24 (KAT)Chet„Pán je môj údel, vraví moja duša, nuž v neho dúfam.“
24 (VUL) HETH. “ Pars mea Dominus, dixit anima mea; propterea exspectabo eum ”.
24 (UKJV) "The LORD is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I hope in him. "
25 (KAT)TetDobrý je Pán k tým, čo dúfajú v neho, k duši, ktorá ho hľadá.
25 (VUL) TETH. Bonus est Dominus sperantibus in eum, animae quaerenti illum.
25 (UKJV) The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.
26 (KAT)TetDobre je ticho čakať Pánovo spasenie.
26 (VUL) TETH. Bonum est praestolari cum silentio salutare Domini.
26 (UKJV) It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

27 (UKJV) It is good for a man that he bear the yoke of his youth.

28 (VUL) IOD. Sedebit solitarius et tacebit, cum istud imponitur ei.
28 (UKJV) He sits alone and keeps silence, because he has borne it upon him.
29 (KAT)JodNech si až po prach skloní ústa, ešte je azda nádej.
29 (VUL) IOD. Ponet in pulvere os suum, si forte sit spes.
29 (UKJV) "He puts his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope. "
30 (KAT)JodPonúknuť má líce, keď ho bije, potupou sa nasýtiť.
30 (VUL) IOD. Dabit percutienti se maxillam, saturabitur opprobriis.
30 (UKJV) He gives his cheek to him that strikes him: he is filled full with reproach.

31 (UKJV) For the LORD will not cast off for ever:

32 (UKJV) But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

35 (UKJV) To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,
36 (KAT)Lamedkeď potlačia v súde človeka, nevidí to Pán?
36 (VUL) LAMED. Pervertere hominem in iudicio suo, num Dominus haec ignorat?
36 (UKJV) To subvert a man in his cause, the LORD approves not.
37 (KAT)MemNa čieže slovo sa čo stalo, keď to nerozkázal Pán?
37 (VUL) MEM. Quis est iste, qui dixit, et factum est? Dominus non iussit?
37 (UKJV) Who is he that says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord commands it not?
38 (KAT)MemNevychádza z úst Najvyššieho nešťastie aj blaho?
38 (VUL) MEM. Ex ore Altissimi nonne egrediuntur et mala et bona?
38 (UKJV) Out of the mouth of the most High proceeds not evil and good?
39 (KAT)MemČože sa ponosuje živý človek, muž pre trest za hriech?
39 (VUL) MEM. Quid murmurabit homo vivens, vir pro peccatis suis?
39 (UKJV) Wherefore does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
40 (KAT)NunPrezrime svoje cesty, preskúmajme a vráťme sa k Pánovi;
40 (VUL) NUN. “ Scrutemur vias nostras et quaeramus et revertamur ad Dominum.
40 (UKJV) Let us search and try our ways, and return to the LORD.
41 (KAT)Nunna dlaniach pozdvihujme srdcia do neba k Bohu!
41 (VUL) NUN. Levemus corda nostra cum manibus ad Dominum in caelos.
41 (UKJV) Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
42 (KAT)NunMy sme sa prehrešili, búrili sa, preto si neodpustil.
42 (VUL) NUN. Nos inique egimus et rebelles fuimus; idcirco tu inexorabilis fuisti.
42 (UKJV) We have transgressed and have rebelled: you have not pardoned.
43 (KAT)SamechZahalil si sa hnevom, stíhal si nás, stínal si, nezľutoval si sa.
43 (VUL) SAMECH. Operuisti in furore et percussisti nos; occidisti nec pepercisti.
43 (UKJV) You have covered with anger, and persecuted us: you have slain, you have not pitied.
44 (KAT)SamechZahalil si sa do oblaku, aby neprenikla modlitba.
44 (VUL) SAMECH. Opposuisti nubem tibi, ne transeat oratio.
44 (UKJV) You have covered yourself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.
45 (KAT)SamechUrobil si nás odvrhlinou, smeťou uprostred národov.
45 (VUL) SAMECH. In eradicationem et abiectionem posuisti nos in medio populorum.
45 (UKJV) You have made us as the waste and refuse in the midst of the people.
46 (KAT)PeProti nám otvárali ústa všetci naši odporci.
46 (VUL) PHE. Aperuerunt super nos os suum omnes inimici nostri.
46 (UKJV) All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.
47 (KAT)PeHrôza a jama nás čakala, zánik a skaza.
47 (VUL) PHE. Formido et fovea facta est nobis, vastatio et contritio ”.
47 (UKJV) Fear and a snare has come upon us, desolation and destruction.
48 (KAT)PePotoky vôd mi prúdia z oka pre skazu dcéry môjho ľudu.
48 (VUL) PHE. Rivos aquarum deducit oculus meus in contritione filiae populi mei.
48 (UKJV) Mine eye runs down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49 (KAT)AjinOko mi slzí, neustáva, spočinku nemá,
49 (VUL) AIN. Oculus meus lacrimas effundit nec tacet, eo quod non sit requies.
49 (UKJV) Mine eye trickes down, and ceases not, without any intermission.
50 (KAT)Ajinkým nepozrie a nepohliadne z nebies Pán.
50 (VUL) AIN. Donec respiciat et videat Dominus de caelis.
50 (UKJV) Till the LORD look down, and behold from heaven.
51 (KAT)AjinOko mi trápi dušu pre všetky dcéry môjho mesta.
51 (VUL) AIN. Oculus meus affligit animam meam prae cunctis filiabus urbis meae.
51 (UKJV) Mine eye affects mine heart because of all the daughters of my city.
52 (KAT)SadeAko na vtáka poľovali na mňa odporci bez príčiny.
52 (VUL) SADE. Venatione venati sunt me quasi avem inimici mei gratis.
52 (UKJV) Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause.
53 (KAT)SadeV jame mi nivočili život, skál nahádzali na mňa.
53 (VUL) SADE. Perdiderunt in lacu vitam meam et iecerunt lapides super me.
53 (UKJV) They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.
54 (KAT)SadeVody mi zakrývali hlavu, myslel som: „Je mi koniec.“
54 (VUL) SADE. Inundaverunt aquae super caput meum, dixi: “ Perii ”.
54 (UKJV) "Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off. "

56 (KAT)KofPočul si môj hlas: „Neskrývaj si ucho, keď si uľahčujem výkrikom.“

58 (UKJV) "O LORD, you have pleaded the causes of my soul; you have redeemed my life. "

62 (KAT)Šinreči mojich odporcov, plány proti mne celý deň.
62 (VUL) SIN. Labia insurgentium mihi et meditationes eorum adversum me tota die.
62 (UKJV) The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.
63 (KAT)ŠinPozoruj ich, či sedia a či stoja, že ja som ich pesničkou.

MemNa čieže slovo sa čo stalo, keď to nerozkázal Pán?
Ž 33:9 - Lebo on riekol a stalo sa, on rozkázal a všetko bolo stvorené.
Verš 38
MemNevychádza z úst Najvyššieho nešťastie aj blaho?
Iz 45:7 - Formujem svetlo a tvorím tmu, spôsobujem blaho a utváram nešťastie, ja som Pán, čo robím toto všetko.
Am 3:6 - Či zazneje v meste pozauna a ľud by sa nestrhol? - Či sa stane v meste nešťastie, ak ho neurobil Pán?
Verš 22
ChetLáskavosť Pána, že nám nie je koniec, veď jeho milosť nepomíňa,
Iz 1:9 - Keby nám Pán zástupov nebol ponechal zvyšok, boli by sme ako Sodoma, Gomore by sme sa podobali.
Hab 3:13 - Vytiahol si zachrániť svoj ľud, zachrániť svojho pomazaného; rozdrvil si hlavu bezbožníkovho domu, obnažil si mu základy až dospodu.
Verš 23
Chetobnovuje sa každým ránom; veľká je tvoja vernosť.
Ž 30:5 - Na harfe hrajte Pánovi, jeho svätí, vzdávajte vďaky jeho menu svätému.
Verš 24
Chet„Pán je môj údel, vraví moja duša, nuž v neho dúfam.“
Hab 2:3 - Lebo videnie je ešte na určený čas, no náhli sa ku koncu a nesklame; ak sa oddiali, čakaj naň, veď určite príde a nezmešká.
Verš 29
JodNech si až po prach skloní ústa, ešte je azda nádej.
Sk 8:22 - Rob teda pokánie z tejto svojej neprávosti a pros Pána, azda ti odpustí toto zmýšľanie tvojho srdca.
Nar 3,1 - Muž, ktorý sa tu žaluje, je prorok Jeremiáš. Žaluje sa i za seba, lebo prút hnevu Pánovho naozaj zaľahol naň a mnoho musel pretrpieť v nevďačnom Jeruzaleme. Ale súčasne zastupuje aj svoj národ, je symbolom jeho a žaluje sa aj v jeho mene.
Nar 3,13 - Miesto "šípy zo svojho tulca" je doslovne: "synov (Vulg dcéry) svojho tulca".
Nar 3,16 - "Nachoval ma" prekladáme podľa LXX a Vulg. Hebrejská osnova je neistá.
Nar 3,18 - Už sa dostal na okraj zúfalstva, ale práve vtedy sa vie pozdvihnúť k Pánovi. Nasledujúce verše sú už plné nádeje.
Nar 3,24 - Jeremiáš bol kňazom; kňazi a leviti nedostali však v zasľúbenej zemi majetkový údel ako ostatní Izraeliti, ich údelom bol Pán, jemu slúžili a živili sa tiež z chrámovej služby. Ale aj údelom celého Izraela je Pán, a nie pozemské majetky, preto teraz, keď vo vojne prišiel o ne, ba stratil aj zasľúbenú zem, nemá čo zúfať, lebo Pán, opravdivý jeho údel, mu zostal.
Nar 3,31 - Na konci verša dozaista niečo vypadlo, lebo verš je prikrátky.
Nar 3,47 - Porov. Jer 48,43; Iz 24,17.
Nar 3,53 - Pozri Jer 38,1-13.
Nar 3,54 - "Vody mi zakrývali hlavu" je len zvýraznenie toho, že bol hlboko ponorený do utrpenia a že bol blízko smrti.
Nar 3,63 - Treba rozumieť "posmešnou pesničkou".
