Verš 37
MemNa čieže slovo sa čo stalo, keď to nerozkázal Pán?
Ž 33:9 - Lebo on riekol a stalo sa, on rozkázal a všetko bolo stvorené.

Verš 38
MemNevychádza z úst Najvyššieho nešťastie aj blaho?
Iz 45:7 - Formujem svetlo a tvorím tmu, spôsobujem blaho a utváram nešťastie, ja som Pán, čo robím toto všetko.
Am 3:6 - Či zazneje v meste pozauna a ľud by sa nestrhol? - Či sa stane v meste nešťastie, ak ho neurobil Pán?

Verš 22
ChetLáskavosť Pána, že nám nie je koniec, veď jeho milosť nepomíňa,
Iz 1:9 - Keby nám Pán zástupov nebol ponechal zvyšok, boli by sme ako Sodoma, Gomore by sme sa podobali.
Hab 3:13 - Vytiahol si zachrániť svoj ľud, zachrániť svojho pomazaného; rozdrvil si hlavu bezbožníkovho domu, obnažil si mu základy až dospodu.

Verš 23
Chetobnovuje sa každým ránom; veľká je tvoja vernosť.
Ž 30:5 - Na harfe hrajte Pánovi, jeho svätí, vzdávajte vďaky jeho menu svätému.

Verš 24
Chet„Pán je môj údel, vraví moja duša, nuž v neho dúfam.“
Hab 2:3 - Lebo videnie je ešte na určený čas, no náhli sa ku koncu a nesklame; ak sa oddiali, čakaj naň, veď určite príde a nezmešká.

Verš 29
JodNech si až po prach skloní ústa, ešte je azda nádej.
Sk 8:22 - Rob teda pokánie z tejto svojej neprávosti a pros Pána, azda ti odpustí toto zmýšľanie tvojho srdca.

Nar 3,1 - Muž, ktorý sa tu žaluje, je prorok Jeremiáš. Žaluje sa i za seba, lebo prút hnevu Pánovho naozaj zaľahol naň a mnoho musel pretrpieť v nevďačnom Jeruzaleme. Ale súčasne zastupuje aj svoj národ, je symbolom jeho a žaluje sa aj v jeho mene.

Nar 3,13 - Miesto "šípy zo svojho tulca" je doslovne: "synov (Vulg dcéry) svojho tulca".

Nar 3,16 - "Nachoval ma" prekladáme podľa LXX a Vulg. Hebrejská osnova je neistá.

Nar 3,18 - Už sa dostal na okraj zúfalstva, ale práve vtedy sa vie pozdvihnúť k Pánovi. Nasledujúce verše sú už plné nádeje.

Nar 3,24 - Jeremiáš bol kňazom; kňazi a leviti nedostali však v zasľúbenej zemi majetkový údel ako ostatní Izraeliti, ich údelom bol Pán, jemu slúžili a živili sa tiež z chrámovej služby. Ale aj údelom celého Izraela je Pán, a nie pozemské majetky, preto teraz, keď vo vojne prišiel o ne, ba stratil aj zasľúbenú zem, nemá čo zúfať, lebo Pán, opravdivý jeho údel, mu zostal.

Nar 3,31 - Na konci verša dozaista niečo vypadlo, lebo verš je prikrátky.

Nar 3,47 - Porov. Jer 48,43; Iz 24,17.

Nar 3,53 - Pozri Jer 38,1-13.

Nar 3,54 - "Vody mi zakrývali hlavu" je len zvýraznenie toho, že bol hlboko ponorený do utrpenia a že bol blízko smrti.

Nar 3,63 - Treba rozumieť "posmešnou pesničkou".
