1 (KAT)AlefAko len zatemnil svojím hnevom Pán dcéru Siona; pohodil z neba na zem okrasu Izraela, podnožia svojho si nevšimol v deň svojho hnevu.
1 (VUL) ALEPH. Quomodo obtexit caligine in furore suo Dominus filiam Sion! Proiecit de caelo in terram gloriam Israel et non est recordatus scabelli pedum suorum in die furoris sui.
1 (UKJV) How has the LORD covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!
2 (KAT)BetZničil Pán bez milosti všetky nivy Jakuba, v svojom hneve zlámal pevnosti Júdovej dcéry, zneuctil, hodil na zem jej ríšu a kniežatá.
2 (VUL) BETH. Praecipitavit Dominus nec pepercit omnia pascua Iacob; destruxit in furore suo munitiones filiae Iudae; deiecit in terram, polluit regnum et principes eius.
2 (UKJV) "The LORD has swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and has not pitied: he has thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he has brought them down to the ground: he has polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof. "
3 (KAT)GimelV žeravom hneve zlámal všetku moc Izraela, svoju pravicu odtiahol späť pred tvárou nepriateľa, zahorel proti Jakubovi ako plameň, čo hlce dookola.
3 (VUL) GHIMEL. Confregit in ira furoris sui omne cornu Israel; avertit retrorsum dexteram suam a facie inimici et succendit in Iacob quasi ignem flammae devorantis in gyro.
3 (UKJV) He has cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he has drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, which devours round about.

4 (VUL) DALETH. Tetendit arcum suum quasi inimicus, firmavit dexteram suam quasi hostis et occidit omne, quod pulchrum erat visu, in tabernaculo filiae Sion; effudit quasi ignem indignationem suam.
4 (UKJV) He has bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire.
5 (KAT)HeRovný nepriateľovi bol Pán, zahubil Izrael, jeho paláce zničil všetky, zrúcal jeho pevnosti; u júdskej dcéry tak rozmnožil stenanie, stony.
5 (VUL) HE. Factus est Dominus velut inimicus, deglutivit Israel, deglutivit omnia moenia eius, dissipavit munitiones eius et multiplicavit in filia Iudae maerorem et maestitiam.
5 (UKJV) The LORD was as an enemy: he has swallowed up Israel, he has swallowed up all her palaces: he has destroyed his strong holds, and has increased in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.
6 (KAT)VauAkoby bol sad, strhol mu plot, zničil jeho zbor, zabudnúť dal Pán na Sione sobotu a zbor, zavrhol v prudkom hneve kráľa i kňaza.
6 (VUL) VAU. Et dissipavit quasi hortum saepem suam, demolitus est tabernaculum suum; oblivioni tradidit Dominus in Sion festivitatem et sabbatum et despexit in indignatione furoris sui regem et sacerdotem.
6 (UKJV) And he has violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he has destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD has caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and has despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.
7 (KAT)ZainOdvrhol Pán svoj oltár, svätyňu si znesvätil, nepriateľovi vydal do rúk pevnosti jej palácov. Robili krik v dome Pánovom ako v deň zhromaždenia.
7 (VUL) ZAIN. Reppulit Dominus altare suum, maledixit sanctuario suo; tradidit in manu inimici muros domorum eius: vocem dederunt in domo Domini sicut in die sollemni.
7 (UKJV) "The LORD has cast off his altar, he has abhorred his sanctuary, he has given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast. "
8 (KAT)ChetRozváľať zamýšľal Pán hradby dcéry sionskej, roztiahol povraz, neodtiahol si ruky od ničenia; vrhol do žiaľu hradby aj múr, čo hynuli spolu.
8 (VUL) HETH. Cogitavit Dominus dissipare murum filiae Sion; tetendit funiculum, non avertit manum suam a perditione; et in luctum redegit antemurale et murum: pariter elanguerunt.
8 (UKJV) "The LORD has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he has stretched out a line, he has not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together. "
9 (KAT)TetBrány mu padli na zem, zničil a zlámal jeho závory, jeho kráľ aj kniežatá sú medzi národmi. Zákona nieto, prorokom tiež sa nedostalo videnie Pánovo.
9 (VUL) TETH. Defixae sunt in terra portae eius; perdidit et contrivit vectes eius. Rex eius et principes eius in gentibus; non est lex, et prophetae eius non invenerunt visionem a Domino.
9 (UKJV) "Her gates are sunk into the ground; he has destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD. "
10 (KAT)JodNa zemi sedeli a zamĺkli sionské dcéry i starci. Na hlavu sypali si popol, odiali si vrecoviny; k zemi si ovesili hlavy panny Jeruzalema.
10 (VUL) IOD. Sederunt in terra, conticuerunt senes filiae Sion, consperserunt cinere capita sua, accincti sunt ciliciis; abiecerunt in terram capita sua virgines Ierusalem.
10 (UKJV) "The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground. "
11 (KAT)Kaf„Oči mám zoslabnuté od sĺz, vnútro mám rozbúrené, pečeň sa mi na zem rozteká pre skazu dcéry môjho ľudu, že nemluvňa i dojča hynú na uliciach mesta.“
11 (VUL) CAPH. Defecerunt prae lacrimis oculi mei, efferbuerunt viscera mea; effusum est in terra iecur meum super contritione filiae populi mei, cum deficeret parvulus et lactans in plateis oppidi.
11 (UKJV) "Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city. "
12 (KAT)LamedVraveli svojim matkám: „Kdeže je obilie a víno?“, keď ako prebodnuté mreli na uliciach mesta, keď si dušu vydýchli do lona svojich matiek.
12 (VUL) LAMED. Matribus suis dixerunt: “ Ubi est triticum et vinum? ”, cum deficerent quasi vulnerati in plateis civitatis, cum exhalarent animas suas in sinu matrum suarum.

13 (VUL) MEM. Cui comparabo te vel cui assimilabo te, filia Ierusalem? Cui exaequabo te et consolabor te, virgo filia Sion? Magna est enim velut mare contritio tua; quis medebitur tui?
13 (UKJV) What thing shall I take to witness for you? what thing shall I liken to you, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? for your breach is great like the sea: who can heal you?
14 (KAT)NunTvoji proroci videli tvoju márnosť a hlúposť, tvoj zločin neodhaľovali, aby ti obrátili osud, ale zreli ti zrenia daromné, klamné.
14 (VUL) NUN. Prophetae tui viderunt tibi falsa et stulta nec aperiebant iniquitatem tuam, ut converterent sortem tuam; viderunt autem tibi oracula mendacii et seductionis.
14 (UKJV) "Your prophets have seen vain and foolish things for you: and they have not discovered your iniquity, to turn away your captivity; but have seen for you false burdens and causes of banishment. "
15 (KAT)SamechTlieskajú nad tebou do dlaní všetci, čo idú cestou, kývajú hlavou, vypiskujú jeruzalemskú dcéru: „Toto je mesto vrcholnej vraj krásy a rozkoš celej zeme?“
15 (VUL) SAMECH. Plauserunt super te manibus omnes transeuntes per viam; sibilaverunt et moverunt caput suum super filiam Ierusalem: “ Haeccine est urbs, quam vocabant perfectum decorem, gaudium universae terrae? ”.
15 (UKJV) "All that pass by clap their hands at you; they hiss and shake their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth? "
16 (KAT)PeÚsta si otvárali proti tebe všetci tvoji odporci, pískali, škrípali zubami, vraveli: „Pohlťme ho! Toto je deň, čo sme čakali, dočkali, uvideli sme ho.“
16 (VUL) PHE. Aperuerunt super te os suum omnes inimici tui; sibilaverunt et fremuerunt dentibus et dixerunt: “ Devoravimus; en ista est dies, quam exspectabamus: invenimus, vidimus ”.
16 (UKJV) "all of your enemies have opened their mouth against you: they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it. "
17 (KAT)AjinSpravil Pán, čo si zaumienil, splnil svoje slovo, ustanovené odpradávna. Strhol a neľutoval; nad tebou rozradostil nepriateľov, vztýčil roh svojich protivníkov.
17 (VUL) AIN. Fecit Dominus, quae cogitavit; complevit sermonem suum, quem praeceperat a diebus antiquis: destruxit et non pepercit. Et laetificavit super te inimicum et exaltavit cornu hostium tuorum.
17 (UKJV) "The LORD has done that which he had devised; he has fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he has thrown down, and has not pitied: and he has caused your enemy to rejoice over you, he has set up the horn of your adversaries. "
18 (KAT)SadeZo srdca volaj k Pánovi, sionská dcéra, panna; sťa potok nech ti tečú slzy vo dne i v noci; nedaj si odpočinku, nech ti neustáva zrenica!
18 (VUL) SADE. Clamet cor tuum ad Dominum super muros filiae Sion; deduc quasi torrentem lacrimas per diem et noctem. Non des requiem tibi, neque taceat pupilla oculi tui.
18 (UKJV) "Their heart cried unto the LORD, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give yourself no rest; let not the apple of your eye cease. "
19 (KAT)KofPovstaňže, kvíľže v noci začiatkom nočných bdení; vylej si srdce ako vodu pred Pánovou tvárou, k nemu si dvíhaj ruky za život svojich detí, (ktoré hynú od hladu na rohoch všetkých ulíc).
19 (VUL) COPH. Consurge, lamentare in nocte in principio vigiliarum, effunde sicut aquam cor tuum ante conspectum Domini; leva ad eum manus tuas pro anima parvulorum tuorum, qui defecerunt in fame in capite omnium compitorum.
19 (UKJV) Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out your heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.
20 (KAT)RešPohliadni, Pane, pozri, s kým si to tak naložil! Či majú ženy jesť vlastný plod? Dojčence, ktoré varovali? V Pánovej svätyni má byť zabitý kňaz i prorok?
20 (VUL) RES. “ Vide, Domine, et considera, cui feceris ita; ergone comedent mulieres fructum suum, parvulos diligenter fovendos? Num occidetur in sanctuario Domini sacerdos et propheta?
20 (UKJV) Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom you have done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?
21 (KAT)ŠinNa zemi ležia na uliciach chlapček i starec, panenky moje, junáci tiež pod mečom padli. V deň svojho hnevu si zabíjal, porážal bez milosti.
21 (VUL) SIN. Iacuerunt in terra foris puer et senex; virgines meae et iuvenes mei ceciderunt in gladio: interfecisti in die furoris tui, percussisti nec misertus es.
21 (UKJV) "The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; you have slain them in the day of your anger; you have killed, and not pitied. "
22 (KAT)TauZvolal si ako v deň sviatočný proti mne hrôzy zo všetkých strán. V deň Pánovho hnevu neušiel nik, ani sa nezachránil. Tých, čo som láskal, vychovával, zničil môj nepriateľ.
22 (VUL) THAU. Vocasti quasi ad diem sollemnem, qui terrerent me de circuitu, et non fuit in die furoris Domini, qui effugeret et relinqueretur: quos fovi et enutrivi, inimicus meus consumpsit eos ”.
22 (UKJV) You have called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD's anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up has mine enemy consumed.

SadeZo srdca volaj k Pánovi, sionská dcéra, panna; sťa potok nech ti tečú slzy vo dne i v noci; nedaj si odpočinku, nech ti neustáva zrenica!
Jer 14:17 - Povieš im túto reč: Slzy ronia moje oči, neprestávajú noc a deň, lebo veľká skaza stihla pannu, dcéru môjho ľudu, rana veľmi bolestná.
Nár 1:16 -AjinPre toto ja plačem, oko mi roní vlahu, lebo sa vzdialil ten, čo teší, čo by mi vrátil život. Moji synovia zhynuli, veď nepriateľ zvíťazil!“
Verš 20
RešPohliadni, Pane, pozri, s kým si to tak naložil! Či majú ženy jesť vlastný plod? Dojčence, ktoré varovali? V Pánovej svätyni má byť zabitý kňaz i prorok?
Nár 4:10 -JodRuky jemnocitných žien piekli si vlastné dietky, ich pokrmom sa stali, keď mrela dcéra môjho ľudu.
Nar 2,1 - Jeruzalem bol ozdobou Izraela, pretože tam bol chrám Pánov a v ňom archa zmluvy, ktorá bola podnožím Pánovým. Porov. pozn. k Iz 66,1.
Nar 2,2 - O zneuctení kráľa a kniežat pozri Jer 52,8-11.
Nar 2,3 - "Všetku moc", doslovne: "Celý roh".
Nar 2,4 - Na naťahovanie kuše bolo treba sily, preto to robili nohou, šliapali. - "Vzmužil sa", doslovne: "upevnil si pravicu". - Na konci verša chýba jeden člen.
Nar 2,5 - Miesto "zahubil" a "zničil" má pôvodina doslovne: "pohltil".
Nar 2,6 - Zborom sa rozumie zhromaždenie ľudu k bohoslužbám.
Nar 2,8 - Staviteľ meria, keď sa chystá stavať; Pán však meral povrázkom hradby Jeruzalema, lebo sa ich chystal zrúcať; porov. Iz 34,11; 2 Kr 21,13.
Nar 2,11 - O vnútri pozri 1,20. - Pečeň pokladali Izraeliti za sídlo životnej sily.
Nar 2,12 - "Obilie a víno" je toľko ako "pokrm a nápoj".
Nar 2,17 - O rohu pozri pozn. k veršu 3.
Nar 2,18 - Začiatok verša je porušený, opravili sme ho, ako je najpravdepodobnejšie. Už Vulg, aby dostala aký-taký zmysel, dopĺňa hebr. osnovu a prekladá: "Ich srdce volalo k Pánovi na múroch dcéry Siona".
Nar 2,19 - Hebreji delili noc na tri stráže alebo bdenia. Prvá sa v Biblii nikdy nemenuje; druhú volali strednou (Sdc 7,19) a tretiu rannou strážou (Ex 14,24; 1 Sam 11,11).
Nar 2,20 - Porov. 4,10 a pozn. k Jer 19,9.
Nar 2,22 - Hrôzy vojny: meč, hlad a mor zišli sa okolo Jeruzalema tak, ako sa ľudia schádzajú na sviatky k bohoslužbám.
