Verš 1
O all of you children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appears out of the north, and great destruction.
Jer 1:13 - "And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What see you? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north. "
Verš 9
Thus says the LORD of hosts, They shall thoroughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back your hand as a grape-gatherer into the baskets.
Iz 24:13 - When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.
Verš 10
"To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. "

Verš 16
Thus says the LORD, Stand all of you in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and all of you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Mt 11:29 - "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and all of you shall find rest unto your souls. "
Verš 20
To what purpose comes there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.
Iz 1:11 - "To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? says the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. "

Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations. "

Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD has rejected them.
Iz 1:22 - Your silver is become dross, your wine mixed with water:
Jer 6,1 - Opevnené hlavné mesto Jeruzalem prijalo v čase vojny aj ubehlíkov z iných miest; porov. 4,5 n. I túto južnú časť budú musieť vyprázdniť. Benjamínovci budú musieť utekať ďalej na juh, do Tekuy (asi 16 km južne od Jeruzalema) a Bet-Keremu, keďže nepriateľ prichádza od severu (porov. 1,13 n.; 4,6). Poloha Bet-Keremu nie je bližšie známa.
Jer 6,3 - Rozumej: Nepriateľskí vojvodcovia obkolesia mesto svojimi vojskami a znivočia ho.
