Jer 5, 1-31

1 (UKJV) "Run all of you back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if all of you can find a man, if there be any that executes judgment, that seeks the truth; and I will pardon it. "
1 (ROH) Zbehajte ulice Jeruzalema a nože vidzte a zveďte a hľadajte po jeho námestiach, či najdete muža, či je voľakto taký, kto by činil súd, kto by hľadal pravdu, a odpustím mu, Jeruzalemu.

2 (UKJV) "And though they say, The LORD lives; surely they swear falsely. "
2 (ROH) A keď aj hovoria: Ako že žije Hospodin, i tak prisahajú falošne.

3 (UKJV) "O LORD, are not your eyes upon the truth? you have stricken them, but they have not grieved; you have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return. "
3 (ROH) Ó, Hospodine, či nehľadia tvoje oči na pravdu? Biješ ich, ale neželia; ničíš ich, nechcú prijať kázeň. Zatvrdili svoju tvár, takže je tvrdšia ako skala, nechcú sa navrátiť.

4 (UKJV) "Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God. "
4 (ROH) A ja som bol povedal: Sú to len prostí ľudia chudobní, dopúšťajú sa bláznovstva, lebo neznajú cesty Hospodinovej, súdu svojho Boha.

5 (UKJV) "I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds. "
5 (ROH) Pojdem ja k veľkým a bude hovoriť s tými, lebo tí znajú cestu Hospodinovu, súd svojho Boha. Ale oni všetci dovedna polámali jarmo, potrhali povrazy.

6 (UKJV) Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goes out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.
6 (ROH) Preto ich pobije lev z lesa, vlk zo stepí ich pohubí, pardus bude čihať na ich mestá; každý, kto vyjde odtiaľ, bude roztrhaný, lebo premnohé sú ich prestúpenia, mocné sú ich odvrátenia.

7 (UKJV) How shall I pardon you for this? your children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.
7 (ROH) Kde je to, pre čo by som ti odpustil? Tvoji synovia ma opustili a prisahajú na to, čo nie je Bohom. Keď som ich nasýtil, cudzoložia, a valia sa zástupom do domu smilnice.

8 (UKJV) They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour's wife.
8 (ROH) Sú jako dobre chované kone skoro za rána; každý rehoce na ženu svojho blížneho.

9 (UKJV) Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
9 (ROH) Či azda pre také veci nemám navštíviť? hovorí Hospodin. Alebo či na takom národe, jako je tento, nemá sa pomstiť moja duša?

10 (UKJV) "Go all of you up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD's. "
10 (ROH) Vyjdite hore na jeho múry a kazte, ale neučiňte úplného konca! Odstráňte jeho výhonky, lebo nie sú Hospodinove,

11 (UKJV) For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says the LORD.
11 (ROH) pretože sa dopúšťajú veľkej nevernosti proti mne dom Izraelov i dom Júdov, hovorí Hospodin;

12 (UKJV) "They have lied concerning the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine: "
12 (ROH) zapierajú Hospodina a hovoria: Nie On! A: Neprijde na nás zlé. Alebo: Neuvidíme meča ani nepocítime hladu.

13 (UKJV) And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.
13 (ROH) Ale tí proroci budú vetrom, a toho, kto hovorí, Duch Boží, neni v nich. Tak sa im učiní.

14 (UKJV) Wherefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, Because all of you speak this word, behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
14 (ROH) Preto takto hovorí Hospodin, Bôh Zástupov: pretože hovoríte to slovo, hľa, dávam svoje slová v tvojich ústach za oheň, a tento ľud nech je drevom, a strávi ich.

15 (UKJV) Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, says the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you know not, neither understand what they say.
15 (ROH) Hľa, dovediem na vás národ z ďaleka, dome Izraelov, hovorí Hospodin. Je to mocný národ, je to národ od veku, národ, ktorého jazyka neznáš ani nebudeš rozumieť, čo hovorí.

16 (UKJV) Their quiver is as an open tomb, they are all mighty men.
16 (ROH) Jeho túl je ako otvorený hrob. Všetci sú hrdinovia.

17 (UKJV) And they shall eat up your harvest, and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat: they shall eat up your flocks and your herds: they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees: they shall impoverish your fenced cities, wherein you trusted, with the sword.
17 (ROH) A pojie tvoju žeň a tvoj chlieb, čo by mali pojesť tvoji synovia a tvoje dcéry; pojie tvoje drobné stádo i tvoj hovädzí dobytok, pojie tvoj vinič i tvoj fík, spustoší tvoje ohradené mestá, na ktoré sa ty spoliehaš, mečom.

18 (UKJV) Nevertheless in those days, says the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.
18 (ROH) Ale ani v tých dňoch, hovorí Hospodin, neučiním s vami konca.

19 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass, when all of you shall say, Wherefore does the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shall you answer them, Like all of you have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall all of you serve strangers in a land that is not your's.
19 (ROH) A bude, keď poviete: Za čo nám učiní Hospodin, náš Bôh, všetko toto? že im povieš: Jako ste mňa opustili a slúžili ste cudzím bohom vo svojej zemi, tak budete slúžiť cudzincom v zemi, ktorá nie je vaša.

20 (UKJV) Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,
20 (ROH) Oznámte to v dome Jakobovom a rozhláste to v Judsku a povedzte:

21 (UKJV) "Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not: "
21 (ROH) Nože počujte toto, bláznivý ľude, ktorý nemá srdca, aby rozumel! Majú oči, ale nevidia; majú uši, ale nečujú.

22 (UKJV) "Fear all of you not me? says the LORD: will all of you not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? "
22 (ROH) Či azda mňa sa nebudete báť? hovorí Hospodin. Či pred mojou tvárou sa nebudete triasť? Ktorý som položil moru piesok za hranicu večným ustanovením, a neprekročí ho! Síce sa dmú, ale nezvládzu a hučia jeho vlny, ale ho neprekročia.

23 (UKJV) "But this people has a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. "
23 (ROH) Ale tento ľud má odpadlícke srdce spurné, odstúpili a odišli.

24 (UKJV) Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that gives rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserves unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
24 (ROH) A nepovedali vo svojom srdci: Nože sa bojme Hospodina, svojho Boha, ktorý dáva dážď, podzimný i jarný, vo svojom čase, zachováva nám ustanovené týždne žatvy.

25 (UKJV) Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good things from you.
25 (ROH) Vaše neprávosti to odvrátily, a vaše hriechy zadržujú to dobré od vás.

26 (UKJV) "For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that sets snares; they set a trap, they catch men. "
26 (ROH) Lebo sa nachádzajú v mojom ľude bezbožníci. Každý striehne, jako keď sa učupujú vtáčnici, nadstavujú osídla, lapajú ľudí.

27 (UKJV) As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and becoming rich.
27 (ROH) Jako klietka, plná vtákov, tak sú ich domy plné ľsti; preto vzrástli a zbohatli.

28 (UKJV) "They are becoming fat, they shine: yea, they pass over the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. "
28 (ROH) Stučneli, lesknú sa; zašli až priďaleko v nešľachetnosti. Pravoty neriešia, pravoty siroty, a dobre sa im vodí, ani nesúdia súdu chudobných.

29 (UKJV) Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
29 (ROH) Či azda preto nemám navštíviť? hovorí Hospodin. Či na takom národe, jako je tento, nemá sa pomstiť moja duša?

30 (UKJV) "A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; "
30 (ROH) Strašná vec a ohavná sa deje v zemi.

31 (UKJV) "The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will all of you do in the end thereof? "
31 (ROH) Proroci prorokujú falošne, a kňazi panujú pomocou nich. A môj ľud to tak miluje! Ale čo urobíte na koniec toho?!

Verš 3

"O LORD, are not your eyes upon the truth? you have stricken them, but they have not grieved; you have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return. "

Iz 1:5 - Why should all of you be stricken any more? all of you will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

Iz 9:13 - For the people turns not unto him that strikes them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.

Jer 2:30 - "In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion. "

Verš 6

Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goes out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

Jer 4:7 - "The lion has come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make your land desolate; and your cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant. "

Verš 8

They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour's wife.

Ez 22:11 - "And one has committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another has lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in you has humbled his sister, his father's daughter. "

Verš 9

Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Jer 5:29 - Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Jer 9:9 - Shall I not visit them for these things? says the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Verš 10

"Go all of you up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the LORD's. "

Jer 4:27 - "For thus has the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. "

Verš 11

For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says the LORD.

Jer 3:20 - Surely as a wife treacherously departs from her husband, so have all of you dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, says the LORD.

Verš 12

"They have lied concerning the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine: "

Iz 28:15 - "Because all of you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: "

Verš 14

Wherefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, Because all of you speak this word, behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

Jer 1:9 - Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.

Verš 15

Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, says the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you know not, neither understand what they say.

Dt 28:49 - "The LORD shall bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies; a nation whose tongue you shall not understand; "

Jer 1:15 - "For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, says the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. "

Jer 6:22 - Thus says the LORD, Behold, a people comes from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.

Verš 17

And they shall eat up your harvest, and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat: they shall eat up your flocks and your herds: they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees: they shall impoverish your fenced cities, wherein you trusted, with the sword.

Lv 26:16 - "I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and all of you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. "

Dt 28:31 - your ox shall be slain before your eyes, and you shall not eat thereof: your ass shall be violently taken away from before your face, and shall not be restored to you: your sheep shall be given unto your enemies, and you shall have none to rescue them.

Dt 28:33 - "The fruit of your land, and all your labours, shall a nation which you know not eat up; and you shall be only oppressed and crushed always: "

Verš 18

Nevertheless in those days, says the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.

Jer 4:27 - "For thus has the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. "

Verš 19

And it shall come to pass, when all of you shall say, Wherefore does the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shall you answer them, Like all of you have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall all of you serve strangers in a land that is not your's.

Jer 16:10 - And it shall come to pass, when you shall show this people all these words, and they shall say unto you, Wherefore has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?

"Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not: "

Iz 6:9 - "And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear all of you indeed, but understand not; and see all of you indeed, but perceive not. "

Verš 22

"Fear all of you not me? says the LORD: will all of you not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? "

Jób 38:10 - And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,

Ž 33:7 - He gathers the waters of the sea together as an heap: he lays up the depth in storehouses.

Ž 104:9 - "You have set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth. "

Verš 24

Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that gives rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserves unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

Dt 11:14 - That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your corn, and your wine, and your oil.

"They are becoming fat, they shine: yea, they pass over the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. "

Dt 32:15 - "But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: you are becoming fat, you are grown thick, you are covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. "

Iz 1:23 - Your princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loves gifts, and follows after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither does the cause of the widow come unto them.

Za 7:10 - "And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart. "

Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Jer 5:9 - Shall I not visit for these things? says the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Jer 9:9 - Shall I not visit them for these things? says the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Verš 31

"The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will all of you do in the end thereof? "

Jer 14:18 - If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.

Jer 23:25 - I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

Ez 13:6 - They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD says: and the LORD has not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
