1 (HEM) לבני עמון כה אמר יהוה הבנים אין לישראל אם יורש אין לו מדוע ירש מלכם את גד ועמו בעריו ישב׃

6 (HEM) ואחרי כן אשיב את שבות בני עמון נאם יהוה׃

16 (VUL) Arrogantia tua decepit te, et superbia cordis tui, qui habitas in cavernis petrae et tenes altitudinem collis; cum exaltaveris quasi aquila nidum tuum, inde detraham te, dicit Dominus.

16 (UKJV) Your terribleness has deceived you, and the pride of your heart, O you that dwell in the clefts of the rock, that hold the height of the hill: though you should make your nest as high as the eagle, I will bring you down from thence, says the LORD.

17 (HEM) והיתה אדום לשמה כל עבר עליה ישם וישרק על כל מכותה׃
17 (VUL) Et erit Edom in desolationem: omnis, qui transibit per eam, stupebit et sibilabit super omnes plagas eius.

18 (HEM) כמהפכת סדם ועמרה ושכניה אמר יהוה לא ישב שם איש ולא יגור בה בן אדם׃
18 (VUL) Sicut subversa est Sodoma et Gomorra et vicinae eius, ait Dominus, non habitabit ibi vir, et non peregrinabitur in ea filius hominis.

19 (VUL) Ecce quasi leo ascendet de silva condensa Iordanis ad prata semper virentia, quia subito currere faciam eos ex illa; et, qui erit electus, illum praeponam ei. Quis enim similis mei? Et quis vocabit me in iudicium? Et quis est iste pastor, qui resistat vultui meo?
19 (KAT) Hľa, vystupuje sťa lev z nádhery Jordána na nivy trvalé. V okamihu ich odoženiem odtiaľ a ustanovím tam vyvolenca. Veď ktože je ako ja a kto ma vezme na zodpovednosť? A kto je tým pastierom, čo obstojí predo mnou?
19 (UKJV) Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

20 (HEM) לכן שמעו עצת יהוה אשר יעץ אל אדום ומחשבותיו אשר חשב אל ישבי תימן אם לא יסחבום צעירי הצאן אם לא ישים עליהם נוהם׃
20 (VUL) Propterea audite consilium Domini, quod iniit de Edom, et cogitationes eius, quas cogitavit de habitatoribus Theman: Certe abstrahent parvulos gregis, certe desolabuntur super eos pascua eorum.

37 (UKJV) "For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, says the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them: "

38 (HEM) ושמתי כסאי בעילם והאבדתי משם מלך ושרים נאם יהוה׃
38 (VUL) Et ponam solium meum in Elam et perdam inde regem et principes, ait Dominus.
38 (KAT) Potom postavím v Elame svoj trón, odstránim odtiaľ kráľa i kniežatá, hovorí Pán.
38 (UKJV) And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, says the LORD.

39 (HEM) והיה באחרית הימים אשוב את שבית עילם נאם יהוה׃
39 (VUL) In novissimis autem diebus convertam sortem Elam ”, dicit Dominus.
39 (KAT) Ale na konci dní zmením osud Elamu,“ hovorí Pán.
39 (UKJV) But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, says the LORD.
