Kniha proroka Jeremiáša

1 (HEM) ויגשו כל שרי החילים ויוחנן בן קרח ויזניה בן הושעיה וכל העם מקטן ועד גדול׃
1 (UKJV) Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,

2 (HEM) ויאמרו אל ירמיהו הנביא תפל נא תחנתנו לפניך והתפלל בעדנו אל יהוה אלהיך בעד כל השארית הזאת כי נשארנו מעט מהרבה כאשר עיניך ראות אתנו׃
2 (UKJV) "And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we plead to you, our supplication be accepted before you, and pray for us unto the LORD your God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as your eyes do behold us:) "

3 (HEM) ויגד לנו יהוה אלהיך את הדרך אשר נלך בה ואת הדבר אשר נעשה׃
3 (UKJV) That the LORD your God may show us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.

4 (HEM) ויאמר אליהם ירמיהו הנביא שמעתי הנני מתפלל אל יהוה אלהיכם כדבריכם והיה כל הדבר אשר יענה יהוה אתכם אגיד לכם לא אמנע מכם דבר׃
4 (UKJV) "Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you. "

5 (HEM) והמה אמרו אל ירמיהו יהי יהוה בנו לעד אמת ונאמן אם לא ככל הדבר אשר ישלחך יהוה אלהיך אלינו כן נעשה׃
5 (UKJV) Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD your God shall send you to us.

6 (HEM) אם טוב ואם רע בקול יהוה אלהינו אשר אנו שלחים אתך אליו נשמע למען אשר ייטב לנו כי נשמע בקול יהוה אלהינו׃
6 (UKJV) "Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send you; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God. "

7 (HEM) ויהי מקץ עשרת ימים ויהי דבר יהוה אל ירמיהו׃
7 (UKJV) And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah.

8 (HEM) ויקרא אל יוחנן בן קרח ואל כל שרי החילים אשר אתו ולכל העם למקטן ועד גדול׃
8 (UKJV) Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,

9 (HEM) ויאמר אליהם כה אמר יהוה אלהי ישראל אשר שלחתם אתי אליו להפיל תחנתכם לפניו׃
9 (UKJV) "And said unto them, Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, unto whom all of you sent me to present your supplication before him; "

10 (HEM) אם שוב תשבו בארץ הזאת ובניתי אתכם ולא אהרס ונטעתי אתכם ולא אתוש כי נחמתי אל הרעה אשר עשיתי לכם׃
10 (UKJV) If all of you will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.

11 (HEM) אל תיראו מפני מלך בבל אשר אתם יראים מפניו אל תיראו ממנו נאם יהוה כי אתכם אני להושיע אתכם ולהציל אתכם מידו׃
11 (UKJV) "Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom all of you are afraid; be not afraid of him, says the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. "

12 (HEM) ואתן לכם רחמים ורחם אתכם והשיב אתכם אל אדמתכם׃
12 (UKJV) And I will show mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.

13 (HEM) ואם אמרים אתם לא נשב בארץ הזאת לבלתי שמע בקול יהוה אלהיכם׃
13 (UKJV) But if all of you say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God,

14 (HEM) לאמר לא כי ארץ מצרים נבוא אשר לא נראה מלחמה וקול שופר לא נשמע וללחם לא נרעב ושם נשב׃
14 (UKJV) "Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell: "

15 (HEM) ועתה לכן שמעו דבר יהוה שארית יהודה כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל אם אתם שום תשמון פניכם לבא מצרים ובאתם לגור שם׃
15 (UKJV) "And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, all of you remnant of Judah; Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If all of you wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there; "

16 (HEM) והיתה החרב אשר אתם יראים ממנה שם תשיג אתכם בארץ מצרים והרעב אשר אתם דאגים ממנו שם ידבק אחריכם מצרים ושם תמתו׃
16 (UKJV) "Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which all of you feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof all of you were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there all of you shall die. "

17 (HEM) ויהיו כל האנשים אשר שמו את פניהם לבוא מצרים לגור שם ימותו בחרב ברעב ובדבר ולא יהיה להם שריד ופליט מפני הרעה אשר אני מביא עליהם׃
17 (UKJV) "So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them. "

18 (HEM) כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל כאשר נתך אפי וחמתי על ישבי ירושלם כן תתך חמתי עליכם בבאכם מצרים והייתם לאלה ולשמה ולקללה ולחרפה ולא תראו עוד את המקום הזה׃
18 (UKJV) "For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury has been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when all of you shall enter into Egypt: and all of you shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and all of you shall see this place no more. "

19 (HEM) דבר יהוה עליכם שארית יהודה אל תבאו מצרים ידע תדעו כי העידתי בכם היום׃
19 (UKJV) "The LORD has said concerning you, O all of you remnant of Judah; Go all of you not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day. "

20 (HEM) כי התעתים בנפשותיכם כי אתם שלחתם אתי אל יהוה אלהיכם לאמר התפלל בעדנו אל יהוה אלהינו וככל אשר יאמר יהוה אלהינו כן הגד לנו ועשינו׃
20 (UKJV) "For all of you dissembled in your hearts, when all of you sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it. "

21 (HEM) ואגד לכם היום ולא שמעתם בקול יהוה אלהיכם ולכל אשר שלחני אליכם׃
21 (UKJV) "And now I have this day declared it to you; but all of you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God, nor any thing for the which he has sent me unto you. "

22 (HEM) ועתה ידע תדעו כי בחרב ברעב ובדבר תמותו במקום אשר חפצתם לבוא לגור שם׃
22 (UKJV) Now therefore know certainly that all of you shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place where all of you desire to go and to sojourn.
