1 (HEM) ויהי בחדש השביעי בא ישמעאל בן נתניה בן אלישמע מזרע המלוכה ורבי המלך ועשרה אנשים אתו אל גדליהו בן אחיקם המצפתה ויאכלו שם לחם יחדו במצפה׃
1 (VUL) Et factum est in mense septi mo, venit Ismael filius Nathaniae filii Elisama de semine regali et optimates regis et decem viri cum eo ad Godoliam filium Ahicam in Maspha; et comederunt ibi panes simul in Maspha.
1 (KAT) V siedmom mesiaci však išiel Izmael, syn Nataniáša, syna Elisamovho, z rodu kráľovského, a s ním kráľovskí veľmoži a desať chlapov ku Godoliášovi, synovi Achikama, do Masfy a jedli spoločne v Masfe.
1 (UKJV) "Now it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, and the princes of the king, even ten men with him, came unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and there they did eat bread together in Mizpah. "

2 (HEM) ויקם ישמעאל בן נתניה ועשרת האנשים אשר היו אתו ויכו את גדליהו בן אחיקם בן שפן בחרב וימת אתו אשר הפקיד מלך בבל בארץ׃
2 (VUL) Surrexit autem Ismael filius Nathaniae et decem viri, qui cum eo erant, et percusserunt Godoliam filium Ahicam filii Saphan gladio; et interfecerunt eum, quem praefecerat rex Babylonis terrae.
2 (KAT) Tu sa Nataniášov syn Izmael zdvihol aj desiati chlapi, ktorí boli s ním, a zabili Godoliáša, syna Achikama, syna Safanovho, mečom. Zabili teda toho, ktorého babylonský kráľ postavil na čelo krajiny.
2 (UKJV) Then arose Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men that were with him, and stroke Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan with the sword, and slew him, whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land.

3 (HEM) ואת כל היהודים אשר היו אתו את גדליהו במצפה ואת הכשדים אשר נמצאו שם את אנשי המלחמה הכה ישמעאל׃
3 (VUL) Omnes quoque Iudaeos, qui erant cum Godolia in Maspha, et Chaldaeos, qui reperti sunt ibi, et viros bellatores percussit Ismael.
3 (KAT) A Izmael pobil aj všetkých Júdovcov, ktorí boli s ním - s Godoliášom - v Masfe, i Chaldejcov, bojovníkov, ktorí sa tam nachádzali.
3 (UKJV) Ishmael also slew all the Jews that were with him, even with Gedaliah, at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans that were found there, and the men of war.

4 (HEM) ויהי ביום השני להמית את גדליהו ואיש לא ידע׃
4 (VUL) Secundo autem die postquam occiderat Godoliam, nullo adhuc sciente,
4 (KAT) Nasledujúci deň po zabití Godoliáša, keď ešte nik nič nevedel,
4 (UKJV) And it came to pass the second day after he had slain Gedaliah, and no man knew it,

5 (HEM) ויבאו אנשים משכם משלו ומשמרון שמנים איש מגלחי זקן וקרעי בגדים ומתגדדים ומנחה ולבונה בידם להביא בית יהוה׃
5 (VUL) venerunt viri de Sichem et de Silo et de Samaria, octoginta viri, rasi barba et scissis vestibus et incisi in cute, et munera et tus habebant in manu, ut offerrent in domo Domini.
5 (KAT) prišli zo Sichemu, zo Šíla a zo Samárie mužovia - osemdesiat chlapov - s oholenými bradami, roztrhaným rúchom a so zárezmi; mali v rukách dary a tymian a chceli to zaniesť do Pánovho domu.
5 (UKJV) That there came certain from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, even fourscore men, having their beards shaven, and their clothes rent, and having cut themselves, with offerings and incense in their hand, to bring them to the house of the LORD.

6 (HEM) ויצא ישמעאל בן נתניה לקראתם מן המצפה הלך הלך ובכה ויהי כפגש אתם ויאמר אליהם באו אל גדליהו בן אחיקם׃
6 (VUL) Egressus ergo Ismael filius Nathaniae in occursum eorum de Maspha, incedens et plorans ibat. Cum autem occurrisset eis, dixit ad eos: “ Venite ad Godoliam filium Ahicam ”.
6 (KAT) Vtom im vyšiel z Masfy v ústrety Izmael, syn Nataniáša; a ako išiel, plakal. Keď sa s nimi stretol, povedal im: „Poďte ku Godoliášovi, Achikamovmu synovi!“
6 (UKJV) And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meet them, weeping all along as he went: and it came to pass, as he met them, he said unto them, Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.

7 (HEM) ויהי כבואם אל תוך העיר וישחטם ישמעאל בן נתניה אל תוך הבור הוא והאנשים אשר אתו׃
7 (VUL) Qui cum venissent ad medium civitatis, interfecit eos Ismael filius Nathaniae et proiecit in medium laci, ipse et viri, qui erant cum eo.
7 (KAT) Keď potom prišli do stredu mesta, Izmael, syn Nataniáša, ich pobil a pohádzal do jamy sám s chlapmi, ktorí boli s ním.
7 (UKJV) And it was so, when they came into the midst of the city, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah slew them, and cast them into the midst of the pit, he, and the men that were with him.

8 (HEM) ועשרה אנשים נמצאו בם ויאמרו אל ישמעאל אל תמתנו כי יש לנו מטמנים בשדה חטים ושערים ושמן ודבש ויחדל ולא המיתם בתוך אחיהם׃
8 (VUL) Decem autem viri reperti sunt inter eos, qui dixerunt ad Ismael: “ Noli occidere nos, quia habemus thesauros in agro, frumenti et hordei et olei et mellis ”; et cessavit et non interfecit eos cum fratribus suis.
8 (KAT) Ale našlo sa medzi nimi desať mužov, ktorí povedali Izmaelovi: „Nezabíjaj nás, lebo máme v poli zásoby pšenice, jačmeňa, oleja a medu.“ Nechal ich teda a nepobil ich spolu s ich bratmi.
8 (UKJV) But ten men were found among them that said unto Ishmael, Slay us not: for we have treasures in the field, of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and of honey. So he ceased, and slew them not among their brethren.

9 (HEM) והבור אשר השליך שם ישמעאל את כל פגרי האנשים אשר הכה ביד גדליהו הוא אשר עשה המלך אסא מפני בעשא מלך ישראל אתו מלא ישמעאל בן נתניהו חללים׃
9 (VUL) Lacus autem, in quem proiecerat Ismael omnia cadavera virorum, quos percussit, est lacus magnus, quem fecit rex Asa propter Baasa regem Israel; ipsum replevit Ismael filius Nathaniae occisis.
9 (KAT) Cisterna však do ktorej Izmael pohádzal všetky mŕtvoly mužov, čo zabil pre Godoliáša, bola tá, čo dal urobiť kráľ Asa proti izraelskému kráľovi Básovi. Nataniášov syn Izmael ju naplnil mŕtvolami.
9 (UKJV) Now the pit wherein Ishmael had cast all the dead bodies of the men, whom he had slain because of Gedaliah, was it which Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha king of Israel: and Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with them that were slain.

10 (HEM) וישב ישמעאל את כל שארית העם אשר במצפה את בנות המלך ואת כל העם הנשארים במצפה אשר הפקיד נבוזראדן רב טבחים את גדליהו בן אחיקם וישבם ישמעאל בן נתניה וילך לעבר אל בני עמון׃
10 (VUL) Et captivas duxit Ismael omnes reliquias populi, qui erant in Maspha, filias regis et universum populum, qui remanserat in Maspha, quos commendaverat Nabuzardan princeps satellitum Godoliae filio Ahicam; et cepit eos Ismael filius Nathaniae et abiit, ut transiret ad filios Ammon.
10 (KAT) Potom Izmael zajal všetky zvyšky ľudu, čo boli v Masfe, kráľove dcéry a všetok ľud, ktorý zostal v Masfe, nad ktorým veliteľ telesnej stráže Nabuzardan postavil Godoliáša, syna Achikamovho. Nataniášov syn Izmael ich zajal, potom vyrazil a chcel prejsť k Amončanom.
10 (UKJV) Then Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah, even the king's daughters, and all the people that remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam: and Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive, and departed to go over to the Ammonites.

11 (HEM) וישמע יוחנן בן קרח וכל שרי החילים אשר אתו את כל הרעה אשר עשה ישמעאל בן נתניה׃
11 (VUL) Audivit autem Iohanan filius Caree et omnes principes bellatorum, qui erant cum eo, omne malum, quod fecerat Ismael filius Nathaniae,
11 (KAT) Keď Jochanan, syn Kareho, a všetci vojvodcovia oddielov, ktoré boli s ním, počuli o všetkých nerestiach, čo popáchal Nataniášov syn Izmael,
11 (UKJV) But when Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done,

12 (HEM) ויקחו את כל האנשים וילכו להלחם עם ישמעאל בן נתניה וימצאו אתו אל מים רבים אשר בגבעון׃
12 (VUL) et, assumptis universis viris, profecti sunt, ut bellarent adversum Ismael filium Nathaniae; et invenerunt eum ad aquas multas, quae sunt in Gabaon.
12 (KAT) vzali všetkých chlapov, išli proti Izmaelovi, synovi Nataniášovmu, do boja a našli ho pri veľkých vodách pri Gabaone.
12 (UKJV) Then they took all the men, and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and found him by the great waters that are in Gibeon.

13 (HEM) ויהי כראות כל העם אשר את ישמעאל את יוחנן בן קרח ואת כל שרי החילים אשר אתו וישמחו׃
13 (VUL) Cumque vidisset omnis populus, qui erat cum Ismael, Iohanan filium Caree et universos principes bellatorum, qui erant cum eo, laetati sunt.
13 (KAT) A keď všetok ľud, ktorý bol s Izmaelom, zazrel Jochanana, syna Kareho, a všetkých veliteľov oddielov, ktoré boli s ním, zaradoval sa.
13 (UKJV) Now it came to pass, that when all the people which were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, then they were glad.

14 (HEM) ויסבו כל העם אשר שבה ישמעאל מן המצפה וישבו וילכו אל יוחנן בן קרח׃
14 (VUL) Et omnis populus, quem ceperat Ismael in Maspha, reversus est et abiit ad Iohanan filium Caree;
14 (KAT) A všetok ľud, ktorý Izmael zajal z Masfy, vrátil sa späť a šiel k Jochananovi, synovi Kareho.
14 (UKJV) So all the people that Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah cast about and returned, and went unto Johanan the son of Kareah.

15 (HEM) וישמעאל בן נתניה נמלט בשמנה אנשים מפני יוחנן וילך אל בני עמון׃
15 (VUL) Ismael autem filius Nathaniae fugit cum octo viris a facie Iohanan et abiit ad filios Ammon.
15 (KAT) Nataniášov syn Izmael sa však s ôsmimi chlapmi zachránil pred Jochananom a odišiel k Amončanom.
15 (UKJV) But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men, and went to the Ammonites.

16 (HEM) ויקח יוחנן בן קרח וכל שרי החילים אשר אתו את כל שארית העם אשר השיב מאת ישמעאל בן נתניה מן המצפה אחר הכה את גדליה בן אחיקם גברים אנשי המלחמה ונשים וטף וסרסים אשר השיב מגבעון׃
16 (VUL) Tulit ergo Iohanan filius Caree et omnes principes bellatorum, qui erant cum eo, universas reliquias vulgi, quas reduxerat ab Ismael filio Nathaniae venientes de Maspha, postquam percussit Godoliam filium Ahicam, viros fortes ad proelium et mulieres et pueros et eunuchos, quos reduxerat de Gabaon.
16 (KAT) Potom Jochanan, syn Kareho, a všetci velitelia oddielov, ktoré boli s ním, zachytil celý zvyšok ľudu, ktorý Izmael, syn Nataniášov, po zabití Achikamovho syna Godoliáša zajal z Masfy: mužov, udatných bojovníkov, ženy, deti a eunuchov, ktorých priviedol späť z Gabaonu,
16 (UKJV) Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, even mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought again from Gibeon:

17 (HEM) וילכו וישבו בגרות כמוהם אשר אצל בית לחם ללכת לבוא מצרים׃
17 (VUL) Et abierunt et sederunt in Gherutchamaam, quae est iuxta Bethlehem, ut pergerent et introirent Aegyptum
17 (KAT) odišli a zdržali sa v hostinci Chamaám pri Betleheme. Chceli ísť do Egypta
17 (UKJV) And they departed, and dwelt in the habitation of Chimham, which is by Bethlehem, to go to enter into Egypt,

18 (HEM) מפני הכשדים כי יראו מפניהם כי הכה ישמעאל בן נתניה את גדליהו בן אחיקם אשר הפקיד מלך בבל בארץ׃
18 (VUL) a facie Chaldaeorum; timebant enim eos, quia percusserat Ismael filius Nathaniae Godoliam filium Ahicam, quem praeposuerat rex Babylonis in regione.
18 (KAT) pre Chaldejcov, lebo sa ich báli, pretože Nataniášov syn Izmael zabil Achikamovho syna Godoliáša, ktorého babylonský kráľ postavil na čelo krajiny.
18 (UKJV) Because of the Chaldeans: for they were afraid of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land.
