1 (HEM) וימלך מלך צדקיהו בן יאשיהו תחת כניהו בן יהויקים אשר המליך נבוכדראצר מלך בבל בארץ יהודה׃
1 (VUL) Et regnavit rex Sedecias filius Iosiae pro Iechonia filio Ioachim; quem constituit regem Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis in terra Iudae.
1 (KAT) Po Joakimovom synovi Jechoniášovi nastúpil kráľ Sedekiáš; za kráľa v júdskej krajine ho ustanovil babylonský kráľ Nabuchodonozor.
1 (UKJV) And king Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah.

2 (HEM) ולא שמע הוא ועבדיו ועם הארץ אל דברי יהוה אשר דבר ביד ירמיהו הנביא׃
2 (VUL) Et non oboedivit, ipse et servi eius et populus terrae, verbis Domini, quae locutus est in manu Ieremiae prophetae.
2 (KAT) Ale ani on, ani jeho služobníci, ani ľud krajiny nepočúvali reči Pánove, ktoré hovoril prostredníctvom proroka Jeremiáša.
2 (UKJV) But neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, did hearken unto the words of the LORD, which he spoke by the prophet Jeremiah.

3 (HEM) וישלח המלך צדקיהו את יהוכל בן שלמיה ואת צפניהו בן מעשיה הכהן אל ירמיהו הנביא לאמר התפלל נא בעדנו אל יהוה אלהינו׃
3 (VUL) Et misit rex Sedecias Iuchal filium Selemiae et Sophoniam filium Maasiae sacerdotem ad Ieremiam prophetam dicens: “ Ora pro nobis Dominum Deum nostrum ”.
3 (KAT) I poslal kráľ Sedekiáš Juchala, syna Selemiášovho, a kňaza Sofoniáša, syna Másiášovho, k prorokovi Jeremiášovi s odkazom: „Modli sa za nás k Pánovi, nášmu Bohu!“
3 (UKJV) And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now unto the LORD our God for us.

4 (HEM) וירמיהו בא ויצא בתוך העם ולא נתנו אתו בית הכליא׃
4 (VUL) Ieremias autem libere ambulabat in medio populi; non enim miserant eum in custodiam carceris.
4 (KAT) Jeremiáš však chodil sem-tam medzi ľudom; nedali ho totiž do väzenia.
4 (UKJV) Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people: for they had not put him into prison.

5 (HEM) וחיל פרעה יצא ממצרים וישמעו הכשדים הצרים על ירושלם את שמעם ויעלו מעל ירושלם׃
5 (VUL) Igitur exercitus pharaonis egressus est de Aegypto, et audientes Chaldaei, qui obsidebant Ierusalem, huiuscemodi nuntium recesserunt ab Ierusalem.
5 (KAT) Vtedy vyrazilo z Egypta faraónovo vojsko. Keď Chaldejci, obliehajúci Jeruzalem, počuli túto zvesť, ustúpili od Jeruzalema.
5 (UKJV) Then Pharaoh's army was come forth out of Egypt: and when the Chaldeans that besieged Jerusalem heard tidings of them, they departed from Jerusalem.

6 (HEM) ויהי דבר יהוה אל ירמיהו הנביא לאמר׃
6 (VUL) Et factum est verbum Domini ad Ieremiam prophetam dicens:
6 (KAT) A Pán prehovoril k prorokovi Jeremiášovi:
6 (UKJV) Then came the word of the LORD unto the prophet Jeremiah saying,

7 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה אלהי ישראל כה תאמרו אל מלך יהודה השלח אתכם אלי לדרשני הנה חיל פרעה היצא לכם לעזרה שב לארצו מצרים׃
7 (VUL) “ Haec dicit Dominus, Deus Israel: Sic dicetis regi Iudae, qui misit vos ad me interrogandum: Ecce exercitus pharaonis, qui egressus est vobis in auxilium, revertetur in terram suam in Aegyptum;
7 (KAT) „Toto hovorí Pán, Boh Izraela: Toto povedzte júdskemu kráľovi, ktorý vás poslal ku mne vypytovať sa: Veruže sa faraónovo vojsko, ktoré vyrazilo vám na pomoc, vráti do svojej krajiny, do Egypta.
7 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel; Thus shall all of you say to the king of Judah, that sent you unto me to enquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh's army, which has come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land. "

8 (HEM) ושבו הכשדים ונלחמו על העיר הזאת ולכדה ושרפה באש׃
8 (VUL) et redient Chaldaei et bellabunt contra civitatem hanc et capient eam et succendent eam igni.
8 (KAT) Chaldejci sa však vrátia, budú útočiť na toto mesto, zaujmú ho a vypália ohňom.
8 (UKJV) And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire.

9 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה אל תשאו נפשתיכם לאמר הלך ילכו מעלינו הכשדים כי לא ילכו׃
9 (VUL) Haec dicit Dominus: Nolite decipere animas vestras dicentes: “Euntes abibunt et recedent a nobis Chaldaei”, quia non abibunt.
9 (KAT) Toto hovorí Pán: Neklamte samých seba slovami: »Chaldejci od nás nadobro odišli,« pretože neodišli.
9 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart. "

10 (HEM) כי אם הכיתם כל חיל כשדים הנלחמים אתכם ונשארו בם אנשים מדקרים איש באהלו יקומו ושרפו את העיר הזאת באש׃
10 (VUL) Sed et si percusseritis omnem exercitum Chaldaeorum, qui proeliantur adversum vos, et derelicti fuerint ex eis aliqui vulnerati, singuli de tentorio suo consurgent et incendent civitatem hanc igni ”.
10 (KAT) I keby ste porazili celé vojsko Chaldejcov, ktorí bojovali proti vám, že by neostali u nich iba ranení chlapi: zdvihne sa každý vo svojom stane a spália ohňom toto mesto.“
10 (UKJV) For though all of you had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.

11 (HEM) והיה בהעלות חיל הכשדים מעל ירושלם מפני חיל פרעה׃
11 (VUL) Ergo cum recessisset exercitus Chaldaeorum ab Ierusalem propter exercitum pharaonis,
11 (KAT) Keď vojsko Chaldejcov ustúpilo od Jeruzalema pred faraónovým vojskom,
11 (UKJV) And it came to pass, that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh's army,

12 (HEM) ויצא ירמיהו מירושלם ללכת ארץ בנימן לחלק משם בתוך העם׃
12 (VUL) egressus est Ieremias de Ierusalem, ut iret in terram Beniamin et divideret ibi possessionem in conspectu populi.
12 (KAT) odchádzal Jeremiáš z Jeruzalema do Benjamínovej krajiny usporiadať tam medzi ľudom dedičstvo(?).
12 (UKJV) Then Jeremiah went forth out of Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin, to separate himself thence in the midst of the people.

13 (HEM) ויהי הוא בשער בנימן ושם בעל פקדת ושמו יראייה בן שלמיה בן חנניה ויתפש את ירמיהו הנביא לאמר אל הכשדים אתה נפל׃
13 (VUL) Cumque pervenisset ad portam Beniamin, erat ibi custos portae nomine Ierias filius Selemiae filii Hananiae; et apprehendit Ieremiam prophetam dicens: “ Ad Chaldaeos profugis ”.
13 (KAT) Keď bol v Benjamínovej bráne, bol tam strážca menom Jeriáš, syn Selemiáša, syna Hananiášovho. Ten zadržal Jeremiáša s obvinením: „Chceš utiecť k Chaldejcom.“
13 (UKJV) "And when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the ward was there, whose name was Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he took Jeremiah the prophet, saying, You fall away to the Chaldeans. "

14 (HEM) ויאמר ירמיהו שקר אינני נפל על הכשדים ולא שמע אליו ויתפש יראייה בירמיהו ויבאהו אל השרים׃

15 (HEM) ויקצפו השרים על ירמיהו והכו אתו ונתנו אותו בית האסור בית יהונתן הספר כי אתו עשו לבית הכלא׃
15 (VUL) Et irati sunt principes contra Ieremiam, quem caesum miserunt in carcerem, qui erat in domo Ionathan scribae; eam enim in carcerem fecerant.
15 (KAT) Kniežatá sa rozzlostili na Jeremiáša, dali ho zbiť a uvrhli ho do väzenia v dome pisára Jonatána; z toho totiž urobili väznicu.
15 (UKJV) Wherefore the princes were angry with Jeremiah, and stroke him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the prison.

16 (HEM) כי בא ירמיהו אל בית הבור ואל החניות וישב שם ירמיהו ימים רבים׃
16 (VUL) Itaque ingressus est Ieremias in domum laci fornice tectam; et sedit ibi Ieremias diebus multis.
16 (KAT) Jeremiáš teda išiel do cisternovej miestnosti v sklepení a Jeremiáš tam sedel dlhé dni.
16 (UKJV) "When Jeremiah was entered into the dungeon, and into the cabins, and Jeremiah had remained there many days; "

17 (HEM) וישלח המלך צדקיהו ויקחהו וישאלהו המלך בביתו בסתר ויאמר היש דבר מאת יהוה ויאמר ירמיהו יש ויאמר ביד מלך בבל תנתן׃
17 (VUL) Mittens autem Sedecias rex tulit eum et interrogavit eum in domo sua abscondite et dixit: “ Putasne est sermo a Domino? ”. Et dixit Ieremias: “ Est ”; et ait: “In manus regis Babylonis traderis ”.

17 (UKJV) Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, you shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.

18 (HEM) ויאמר ירמיהו אל המלך צדקיהו מה חטאתי לך ולעבדיך ולעם הזה כי נתתם אותי אל בית הכלא׃
18 (VUL) Et dixit Ieremias ad regem Sedeciam: “ Quid peccavi tibi et servis tuis et populo isti, quia misistis me in domum carceris?
18 (KAT) Nato sa Jeremiáš opýtal kráľa Sedekiáša: „Čím som sa previnil proti tebe, proti tvojim sluhom a proti tvojmu ľudu, že ste ma uvrhli do väzenia?
18 (UKJV) Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended against you, or against your servants, or against this people, that all of you have put me in prison?

19 (HEM) ואיו נביאיכם אשר נבאו לכם לאמר לא יבא מלך בבל עליכם ועל הארץ הזאת׃
19 (VUL) Ubi sunt prophetae vestri, qui prophetabant vobis et dicebant: “Non veniet rex Babylonis super vos et super terram hanc”?
19 (KAT) A kde sú vaši proroci, ktorí vám prorokovali: Babylonský kráľ nepríde proti vám a proti tejto krajine?
19 (UKJV) Where are now your prophets which prophesied unto you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you, nor against this land?

20 (HEM) ועתה שמע נא אדני המלך תפל נא תחנתי לפניך ואל תשבני בית יהונתן הספר ולא אמות שם׃
20 (VUL) Nunc ergo audi, obsecro, domine mi rex; valeat deprecatio mea in conspectu tuo, et ne me remittas in domum Ionathan scribae, ne moriar ibi ”.
20 (KAT) Nuž teraz počúvaj, môj pane, kráľu; nech nájde u teba vyslyšanie moja prosba: Nevráť ma do domu pisára Jonatána, aby som tam neumrel.“
20 (UKJV) "Therefore hear now, I pray you, O my lord the king: let my supplication, I pray you, be accepted before you; that you cause me not to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there. "

21 (HEM) ויצוה המלך צדקיהו ויפקדו את ירמיהו בחצר המטרה ונתן לו ככר לחם ליום מחוץ האפים עד תם כל הלחם מן העיר וישב ירמיהו בחצר המטרה׃
21 (VUL) Praecepit ergo rex Sedecias, ut traderetur Ieremias in vestibulo custodiae, et daretur ei torta panis cotidie ex vico Pistorum, donec consumerentur omnes panes de civitate. Et mansit Ieremias in vestibulo custodiae.
21 (KAT) Kráľ Sedekiáš preto vydal rozkaz a Jeremiáša umiestnili v strážnom nádvorí a z Pekárskej ulice mu dávali denne peceň chleba, kým sa v meste neminul všetok chlieb. A Jeremiáš ostal v strážnom nádvorí.
21 (UKJV) Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
