Jer 36, 1-32

1 (UKJV) And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 (UKJV) Take you a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto you against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke unto you, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.
2 (ROH) Vezmi si svitok knihy a napíšeš doň všetky slová, ktoré som ti hovoril proti Izraelovi a Júdovi a proti všetkým národom odo dňa, ktorého som ti hovoril po prvé, odo dní Joziášových, až do tohoto dňa,

3 (UKJV) "It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin. "
3 (ROH) ak by snáď počuli, dom Júdov, všetko to zlé, ktoré im mienim učiniť, aby sa navrátili každý od svojej zlej cesty, a odpustil by som ich neprávosť a ich hriech.

4 (UKJV) Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.
4 (ROH) Vtedy zavolal Jeremiáš Bárucha, syna Neriášovho, a Báruch napísal, z úst Jeremiášových, všetky slová Hospodinove, ktoré mu hovoril, do svitku knihy.

5 (UKJV) "And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD: "
5 (ROH) Potom prikázal Jeremiáš Báruchovi povediac: Ja som zatvorený, nemôžem vojsť do domu Hospodinovho.

6 (UKJV) Therefore go you, and read in the roll, which you have written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also you shall read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.
6 (ROH) Preto pojdeš ty a budeš čítať zo svitku knihy to, čo si napísal z mojich úst, slová Hospodinove, v uši ľudu, v dome Hospodinovom, v deň pôstu, i v uši všetkého Júdu, všetkým, ktorí prijdú zo svojich miest, ich budeš čítať.

7 (UKJV) It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD has pronounced against this people.
7 (ROH) Ak by snáď padla ich pokorná prosba pred Hospodina, a navrátili by sa každý so svojej zlej cesty, lebo je to veľký hnev a veľká prchlivosť, čo hovoril Hospodin proti tomuto ľudu.

8 (UKJV) And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD's house.

9 (UKJV) And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.

10 (UKJV) Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.
10 (ROH) A Báruch čítal z knihy slová Jeremiášove v dome Hospodinovom, v chyži Gemariáša, syna Šafánovho, pisára, v hornom dvore, pri vchode novej brány domu Hospodinovho v uši všetkého ľudu.

11 (UKJV) When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,
11 (ROH) A keď počul Michaiáš, syn Gemariáša, syna Šafánovho, všetky slová Hospodinove z knihy,

12 (UKJV) Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.
12 (ROH) sišiel do domu kráľovho, do chyže pisára, a hľa, sedely tam všetky kniežatá: Elišama, pisár, a Delaiáš, syn Šemaiášov, a Elnatán, syn Achborov, a Gemariáš, syn Šatánov, a Cedekiáš, syn Chananiášov, a všetky kniežatá.

13 (UKJV) Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.
13 (ROH) A Michaiáš im oznámil všetky slová, ktoré počul, keď čítal Báruch z knihy v uši ľudu.

14 (UKJV) Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in your hand the roll wherein you have read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.
14 (ROH) Preto poslaly všetky kniežatá k Báruchovi Jehúdiho, syna Netaniáša, syna Šelemiáša, syna Kúšiho, a riekly: Svitok knihy, z ktorého si čítal v uši ľudu, vezmi ho do svojej ruky a poď! A tak vzal Báruch, syn Neriášov, svitok knihy do svojej ruky a prišiel k nim.

15 (UKJV) And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.
15 (ROH) A ony mu riekly: Nože si sadni a čítaj to pred nami! A Báruch čítal v ich uši.

16 (UKJV) Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and the other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.

17 (UKJV) And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How did you write all these words at his mouth?

18 (UKJV) Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.
18 (ROH) A Báruch im odpovedal: Zo svojich úst mi vravel všetky tieto slová, a ja som písal do knihy černidlom.

19 (UKJV) "Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide you, you and Jeremiah; and let no man know where all of you be. "
19 (ROH) Vtedy riekly kniežatá Báruchovi: Idi, skry sa i ty i Jeremiáš, a nech nevie nikto, kde ste.

20 (UKJV) And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.
20 (ROH) Potom vošly ku kráľovi do dvora a svitok knihy nechaly opatrovať v chyži Elišamu, pisára, a oznámily kráľovi všetky tie slová.

21 (UKJV) So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.
21 (ROH) A kráľ poslal Jehúdiho, aby vzal svitok, a vzal ho z chyže pisára Elišamu. A Jehúdi ho čítal pred kráľom a pred všetkými kniežatami, ktoré stály pred kráľom.

22 (UKJV) Now the king sat in the winter-house in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.
22 (ROH) A kráľ sedel v zimnom dome v deviatom mesiaci majúc pred sebou ohnište, na ktorom horelo.

23 (UKJV) And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.

24 (UKJV) Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.

25 (UKJV) Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.
25 (ROH) Ba ani keď Elnatán, Delaiáš a Gemariáš naliehavo prosili kráľa, žeby nepálil svitku knihy, neposlúchol ich.

26 (UKJV) But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.
26 (ROH) Ale kráľ rozkázal Jerachmeelovi, synovi kráľovmu, a Seraiášovi, synovi Azrielovmu, a Šelemiášovi, synovi Abdielovmu, zajať pisára Bárucha i proroka Jeremiáša. Ale Hospodin ich skryl.

27 (UKJV) Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,

28 (UKJV) Take you again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.
28 (ROH) Vezmi si zase iný svitok knihy a napíš naň všetky prvé slová, ktoré boly na tamtom prvom svitku, ktorý spálil Jehojakim, judský kráľ.

29 (UKJV) "And you shall say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus says the LORD; You have burned this roll, saying, Why have you written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast? "
29 (ROH) A o Jehojakimovi, judskom kráľovi, povieš: Takto hovorí Hospodin: Ty si spálil tento svitok knihy a povedal si: Prečo si napísal naň, že vraj istotne prijde babylonský kráľ a zkazí túto zem a vyhladí z nej človeka i hovädo.

30 (UKJV) "Therefore thus says the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost. "
30 (ROH) Preto takto hovorí Hospodin o Jehojakimovi, judskom kráľovi: Nebude mať toho, kto by sedel na tróne Dávidovom, a jeho mŕtve telo bude povrhnuté horúčave vodne a mrazu vnoci.

31 (UKJV) "And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not. "

32 (UKJV) "Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words. "
32 (ROH) A tak vzal Jeremiáš iný svitok a dal ho Báruchovi, synovi Neriášovmu, pisárovi, a napísal naň z úst Jeremiášových všetky slová knihy, ktorú spálil Jehojakim, judský kráľ, na ohni, a bolo pridané k nim ešte mnoho podobných slov.
