1 (UKJV) In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word from the LORD, saying,
1 (LS) Au commencement du règne de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, cette parole fut prononcée de la part de l'Eternel, en ces mots:
2 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD's house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD's house, all the words that I command you to speak unto them; diminish not a word: "
2 (LS) Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Tiens-toi dans le parvis de la maison de l'Eternel, et dis à ceux qui de toutes les villes de Juda viennent se prosterner dans la maison de l'Eternel toutes les paroles que je t'ordonne de leur dire; n'en retranche pas un mot.
3 (UKJV) If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.
3 (LS) Peut-être écouteront-ils, et reviendront-ils chacun de leur mauvaise voie; alors je me repentirai du mal que j'avais pensé leur faire à cause de la méchanceté de leurs actions.
4 (UKJV) "And you shall say unto them, Thus says the LORD; If all of you will not hearken to me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you, "
4 (LS) Tu leur diras: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Si vous ne m'écoutez pas quand je vous ordonne de suivre ma loi que j'ai mise devant vous,
5 (UKJV) "To hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and sending them, but all of you have not hearkened; "
5 (LS) d'écouter les paroles de mes serviteurs, les prophètes, que je vous envoie, que je vous ai envoyés dès le matin, et que vous n'avez pas écoutés,
6 (UKJV) Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.
6 (LS) alors je traiterai cette maison comme Silo, et je ferai de cette ville un objet de malédiction pour toutes les nations de la terre.
7 (UKJV) So the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD.
7 (LS) Les sacrificateurs, les prophètes, et tout le peuple, entendirent Jérémie prononcer ces paroles dans la maison de l'Eternel.
8 (UKJV) Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him, saying, You shall surely die.
8 (LS) Et comme Jérémie achevait de dire tout ce que l'Eternel lui avait ordonné de dire à tout le peuple, les sacrificateurs, les prophètes, et tout le peuple, se saisirent de lui, en disant: Tu mourras!
9 (UKJV) Why have you prophesied in the name of the LORD, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.
9 (LS) Pourquoi prophétises-tu au nom de l'Eternel, en disant: Cette maison sera comme Silo, et cette ville sera dévastée, privée d'habitants? Tout le peuple s'attroupa autour de Jérémie dans la maison de l'Eternel.
10 (UKJV) When the princes of Judah heard these things, then they came up from the king's house unto the house of the LORD, and sat down in the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house.
10 (LS) Lorsque les chefs de Juda eurent appris ces choses, ils montèrent de la maison du roi à la maison de l'Eternel, et s'assirent à l'entrée de la porte neuve de la maison de l'Eternel.
11 (UKJV) "Then spoke the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is worthy to die; for he has prophesied against this city, as all of you have heard with your ears. "
11 (LS) Alors les sacrificateurs et les prophètes parlèrent ainsi aux chefs et à tout le peuple: Cet homme mérite la mort; car il a prophétisé contre cette ville, comme vous l'avez entendu de vos oreilles.
12 (UKJV) Then spoke Jeremiah unto all the princes and to all the people, saying, The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that all of you have heard.
12 (LS) Jérémie dit à tous les chefs et à tout le peuple: L'Eternel m'a envoyé pour prophétiser contre cette maison et contre cette ville, toutes les choses que vous avez entendues.
13 (UKJV) "Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he has pronounced against you. "
13 (LS) Maintenant réformez vos voies et vos oeuvres, écoutez la voix de l'Eternel, votre Dieu, et l'Eternel se repentira du mal qu'il a prononcé contre vous.
14 (UKJV) As for me, behold, I am in your hand: do with me as seems good and meet unto you.
14 (LS) Pour moi, me voici entre vos mains; traitez-moi comme il vous semblera bon et juste.
15 (UKJV) But know all of you for certain, that if all of you put me to death, all of you shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for truthfully the LORD has sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.
15 (LS) Seulement sachez que, si vous me faites mourir, vous vous chargez du sang innocent, vous, cette ville et ses habitants; car l'Eternel m'a véritablement envoyé vers vous pour prononcer à vos oreilles toutes ces paroles.
16 (UKJV) "Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets; This man is not worthy to die: for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God. "
16 (LS) Les chefs et tout le peuple dirent aux sacrificateurs et aux prophètes: Cet homme ne mérite point la mort; car c'est au nom de l'Eternel, notre Dieu, qu'il nous a parlé.
17 (UKJV) Then rose up certain of the elders of the land, and spoke to all the assembly of the people, saying,
17 (LS) Et quelques-uns des anciens du pays se levèrent, et dirent à toute l'assemblée du peuple:
18 (UKJV) "Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest. "
18 (LS) Michée, de Moréscheth, prophétisait du temps d'Ezéchias, roi de Juda, et il disait à tout le peuple de Juda: Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Sion sera labourée comme un champ, Jérusalem deviendra un monceau de pierres, Et la montagne de la maison une haute forêt.
19 (UKJV) Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.
19 (LS) Ezéchias, roi de Juda, et tout Juda l'ont-ils fait mourir? Ezéchias ne craignit-il pas l'Eternel? N'implora-t-il pas l'Eternel? Alors l'Eternel se repentit du mal qu'il avait prononcé contre eux. Et nous, nous chargerions notre âme d'un si grand crime!
20 (UKJV) And there was also a man that prophesied in the name of the LORD, Urijah the son of Shemaiah of Kirjathjearim, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah.
20 (LS) Il y eut aussi un homme qui prophétisait au nom de l'Eternel, Urie, fils de Schemaeja, de Kirjath-Jearim. Il prophétisa contre cette ville et contre ce pays entièrement les mêmes choses que Jérémie.
21 (UKJV) "And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was afraid, and fled, and went into Egypt; "
21 (LS) Le roi Jojakim, tous ses vaillants hommes, et tous ses chefs, entendirent ses paroles, et le roi chercha à le faire mourir. Urie, qui en fut informé, eut peur, prit la fuite, et alla en Egypte.
22 (UKJV) And Jehoiakim the king sent men into Egypt, namely, Elnathan the son of Achbor, and certain men with him into Egypt.
22 (LS) Le roi Jojakim envoya des gens en Egypte, Elnathan, fils d'Acbor, et des gens avec lui en Egypte.
23 (UKJV) "And they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him unto Jehoiakim the king; who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people. "
23 (LS) Ils firent sortir d'Egypte Urie et l'amenèrent au roi Jojakim, qui le fit mourir par l'épée et jeta son cadavre sur les sépulcres des enfants du peuple.
24 (UKJV) Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.
24 (LS) Cependant la main d'Achikam, fils de Schaphan, fut avec Jérémie, et empêcha qu'il ne fût livré au peuple pour être mis à mort.

"Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest. "
Mi 1:1 - The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
Mi 3:12 - Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.
Jer 18:8 - If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
Verš 5
"To hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and sending them, but all of you have not hearkened; "
Jer 7:13 - "And now, because all of you have done all these works, says the LORD, and I spoke unto you, rising up early and speaking, but all of you heard not; and I called you, but all of you answered not; "
Jer 7:25 - Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:
Jer 11:7 - For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.
Jer 25:3 - "From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the LORD has come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but all of you have not hearkened. "
Verš 6
Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.
1Sam 4:12 - And there ran a man of Benjamin out of the army, and came to Shiloh the same day with his clothes rent, and with earth upon his head.
Ž 78:60 - "So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men; "
Jer 7:12 - But go all of you now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
Jer 7:14 - Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein all of you trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
Verš 13
"Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he has pronounced against you. "
Jer 7:3 - Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
Jer 26,1 - Všimni si aj poznámok k hl. 7, ktorá obsahuje podobnú reč chrámovú.
Jer 26,10 - Júdske kniežatá boli vysokými svetskými úradníkmi. Poloha "Novej brány" chrámovej nie je nám už dnes známa.
Jer 26,18 - Spis tohto proroka Micheáša máme medzi dvanástimi malými prorokmi. Miesto, na ktoré sa starší ľudu odvolávajú, je Mich 3,12.
Jer 26,20 - Z prípadu, ktorý sa opisuje v predchádzajúcej stati, by sa mohlo zdať, že sa Jeremiášovi vrstovníci báli siahnuť na život niektorého proroka. Aby bolo vidno, že tomu tak nebolo a že život Jeremiášov bol v ustavičnom nebezpečenstve, pripojil buď sám Jeremiáš, alebo jeho učeník Baruch stať veršov 20-24, ktorá zaznačuje osud ináč nám neznámeho proroka Uriáša. – O Kariatiarime pozri pozn. k 1 Sam 6,21.
Jer 26,22 - Slová v zátvorkách sú asi neskorší dodatok.
Jer 26,23 - Kráľ zostril Uriášov trest tým, že ho nedal pochovať do rodinnej hrobky.
Jer 26,24 - Achikam je asi totožný s Achikamom spomínaným v 2 Kr 22,12. Aj Achikamov syn, neskorší správca krajiny Godoliáš, bol naklonený Jeremiášovi (porov. 40,5).
