1 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה הלוך וקנית בקבק יוצר חרש ומזקני העם ומזקני הכהנים׃
1 (VUL) Haec dicit Dominus: “ Vade et eme lagunculam figuli testeam et accipe de senioribus populi et de senioribus sacerdotum

1 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests; "

2 (HEM) ויצאת אל גיא בן הנם אשר פתח שער החרסות וקראת שם את הדברים אשר אדבר אליך׃
2 (VUL) et egredere ad vallem Benennom, quae est iuxta introitum portae Fictilium, et praedicabis ibi verba, quae ego loquar ad te,
2 (KAT) choď do údolia Ben-Hinom, ktoré je pri vchode Hrnčiarskej brány, a vyhlás tam slová, ktoré ti budem hovoriť.
2 (UKJV) And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell you,

3 (HEM) ואמרת שמעו דבר יהוה מלכי יהודה וישבי ירושלם כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל הנני מביא רעה על המקום הזה אשר כל שמעה תצלנה אזניו׃
3 (VUL) et dices: Audite verbum Domini, reges Iudae et habitatores Ierusalem: Haec dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israel: Ecce ego inducam afflictionem super locum istum, ita ut omnis, qui audierit illam, tinniant aures eius,
3 (KAT) Povieš: Počujte slovo Pánovo, králi Júdu a obyvatelia Jeruzalema! Toto hovorí Pán zástupov, Boh Izraela: Hľa, privediem na toto miesto pohromu, že zacvendží v ušiach každému, kto o tom počuje.
3 (UKJV) "And say, Hear all of you the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever hears, his ears shall tingle. "

4 (HEM) יען אשר עזבני וינכרו את המקום הזה ויקטרו בו לאלהים אחרים אשר לא ידעום המה ואבותיהם ומלכי יהודה ומלאו את המקום הזה דם נקים׃
4 (VUL) eo quod dereliquerint me et alienum fecerint locum istum et sacrificaverint in eo diis alienis, quos nescierunt ipsi et patres eorum et reges Iudae; et repleverunt locum istum sanguine innocentium;
4 (KAT) Pretože ma opustili a odcudzili mi toto miesto, okiadzali na ňom cudzích bohov, ktorých nepoznali ani oni, ani ich otcovia, ani júdski králi, a naplnili toto miesto nevinnou krvou;
4 (UKJV) "Because they have forsaken me, and have cut off this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocent persons; "

5 (HEM) ובנו את במות הבעל לשרף את בניהם באש עלות לבעל אשר לא צויתי ולא דברתי ולא עלתה על לבי׃
5 (VUL) et aedificaverunt excelsa Baal ad comburendos filios suos igne in holocaustum Baal: quae non praecepi nec locutus sum, nec ascenderunt in cor meum.
5 (KAT) budovali výšiny Bálovi, aby v ohni spaľovali svoje dietky na obetu Bálovi - čo som im neprikazoval a nenariaďoval, ani na myseľ mi to neprišlo.
5 (UKJV) They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spoke it, neither came it into my mind:

6 (HEM) לכן הנה ימים באים נאם יהוה ולא יקרא למקום הזה עוד התפת וגיא בן הנם כי אם גיא ההרגה׃
6 (VUL) Propterea ecce dies veniunt, dicit Dominus, et non vocabitur amplius locus iste Topheth et vallis Benennom sed vallis Occisionis.
6 (KAT) Preto, hľa, prídu dni - hovorí Pán, a toto miesto sa už nebude volať Tofetom a údolím Ben-Hinom, ale Údolím vraždenia.
6 (UKJV) Therefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.

7 (HEM) ובקתי את עצת יהודה וירושלם במקום הזה והפלתים בחרב לפני איביהם וביד מבקשי נפשם ונתתי את נבלתם למאכל לעוף השמים ולבהמת הארץ׃
7 (VUL) Et dissipabo consilium Iudae et Ierusalem in loco isto; et subvertam eos gladio in conspectu inimicorum suorum et in manu quaerentium animas eorum et dabo cadavera eorum escam volatilibus caeli et bestiis terrae.
7 (KAT) Zmarím na tomto mieste radu Júdu a Jeruzalema, pozrážam ich pred ich nepriateľom mečom rukou tých, čo im siahajú na život, ale ich mŕtvoly vydám na pokrm vtákom neba a zverine zeme.
7 (UKJV) "And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcasses will I give to be food for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. "

8 (HEM) ושמתי את העיר הזאת לשמה ולשרקה כל עבר עליה ישם וישרק על כל מכתה׃
8 (VUL) Et ponam civitatem hanc in stuporem et in sibilum; omnis, qui praeterierit per eam, obstupescet et sibilabit super universa plaga eius.
8 (KAT) A toto miesto obrátim na hrôzu a výsmech: každý, kto popri ňom prejde, zhrozí sa a bude sa posmievať jeho ranám.
8 (UKJV) "And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passes thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof. "

9 (HEM) והאכלתים את בשר בניהם ואת בשר בנתיהם ואיש בשר רעהו יאכלו במצור ובמצוק אשר יציקו להם איביהם ומבקשי נפשם׃
9 (VUL) Et cibabo eos carnibus filiorum suorum et carnibus filiarum suarum; et unusquisque carnem amici sui comedet in obsidione et in angustia, in qua concludent eos inimici eorum et qui quaerunt animas eorum.
9 (KAT) Budem ich kŕmiť mäsom ich synov a mäsom ich dcér, každý bude jesť mäso svojho blížneho v obliehaní a úzkosti, keď ich budú zvierať nepriatelia a tí, čo im siahnu na život.
9 (UKJV) And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and strictness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.

10 (HEM) ושברת הבקבק לעיני האנשים ההלכים אותך׃
10 (VUL) Et conteres lagunculam in oculis virorum, qui ibunt tecum,
10 (KAT) Potom rozbi krčah pred očami mužov, ktorí išli s tebou.
10 (UKJV) Then shall you break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with you,

11 (HEM) ואמרת אליהם כה אמר יהוה צבאות ככה אשבר את העם הזה ואת העיר הזאת כאשר ישבר את כלי היוצר אשר לא יוכל להרפה עוד ובתפת יקברו מאין מקום לקבור׃
11 (VUL) et dices ad eos: Haec dicit Dominus exercituum: Sic conteram populum istum et civitatem istam, sicut conteritur vas figuli, quod non potest ultra instaurari; et in Topheth sepelientur, eo quod non sit alius locus ad sepeliendum.
11 (KAT) I povieš im: Toto hovorí Pán zástupov: Tak rozbijem tento ľud a toto mesto, ako sa rozbije hlinená nádoba, že sa viac nescelí. A v Tofete budú pochovávať pre nedostatok pohrebišťa.
11 (UKJV) "And shall say unto them, Thus says the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaks a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury. "

12 (HEM) כן אעשה למקום הזה נאם יהוה וליושביו ולתת את העיר הזאת כתפת׃
12 (VUL) Sic faciam loco huic, ait Dominus, et habitatoribus eius, ut ponam civitatem istam sicut Topheth;
12 (KAT) Takto naložím s týmto miestom a s jeho obyvateľmi - hovorí Pán. Toto mesto urobím podobným Tofetu.
12 (UKJV) Thus will I do unto this place, says the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city as Tophet:

13 (HEM) והיו בתי ירושלם ובתי מלכי יהודה כמקום התפת הטמאים לכל הבתים אשר קטרו על גגתיהם לכל צבא השמים והסך נסכים לאלהים אחרים׃
13 (VUL) et erunt domus Ierusalem et domus regum Iudae sicut locus Topheth, immundae: omnes domus, in quarum domatibus sacrificaverunt omni militiae caeli et libaverunt libamina diis alienis ”.
13 (KAT) Domy Jeruzalema a domy júdskych kráľov budú teda znečistené ako pôda Tofetu: všetky domy, na strechách ktorých okiadzali všetky nebeské vojská a liali nápoje cudzím bohom.“
13 (UKJV) And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.

14 (HEM) ויבא ירמיהו מהתפת אשר שלחו יהוה שם להנבא ויעמד בחצר בית יהוה ויאמר אל כל העם׃
14 (VUL) Venit autem Ieremias de Topheth, quo miserat eum Dominus ad prophetandum, et stetit in atrio domus Domini et dixit ad omnem populum:
14 (KAT) Jeremiáš potom prišiel z Tofetu, kam ho poslal prorokovať Pán, zastal na nádvorí Pánovho domu a vravel celému národu:
14 (UKJV) "Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, where the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD's house; and said to all the people, "

15 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל הנני מבי אל העיר הזאת ועל כל עריה את כל הרעה אשר דברתי עליה כי הקשו את ערפם לבלתי שמוע את דברי׃
15 (VUL) “ Haec dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israel: Ecce ego inducam super civitatem hanc et super omnes urbes eius universa mala, quae locutus sum adversum eam, quoniam induraverunt cervicem suam, ut non audirent sermones meos ”.
15 (KAT) „Toto hovorí Pán zástupov, Boh Izraela: Hľa, privediem na toto mesto a na všetky mestá v jeho okolí každú pohromu, ktorou som im pohrozil. Veď vzopreli svoju šiju a nechcú poslúchať moje slová!“
15 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words. "
