Jer 16, 1-21

1 (UKJV) The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying,
1 (KAT) Pán prehovoril ku mne takto:

2 (UKJV) You shall not take you a wife, neither shall you have sons or daughters in this place.
2 (KAT) „Nevezmi si manželku a nemaj synov ani dcéry na tomto mieste!

3 (UKJV) "For thus says the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that brings forth them in this land; "
3 (KAT) Lebo toto hovorí Pán o synoch a dcérach, narodených na tomto mieste, a o ich matkách, ktoré ich zrodia, a o ich otcoch, ktorí ich splodia v tejto krajine:

4 (UKJV) "They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcasses shall be food for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. "
4 (KAT) Zomrú smrťou plnou múk, neoplačú ich, ani nepochovajú, budú na zemi ako hnoj; zahynú mečom a hladom, ich mŕtvoly budú pokrmom vtákov nebies a zvierat zeme.“

5 (UKJV) For thus says the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor lament for them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, says the LORD, even loving kindness and mercies.

7 (KAT) A nebudú lámať smútočný chlieb, aby ich potešili pre mŕtvych, ani im nedajú piť kalich útechy za otcom a za matkou.

8 (UKJV) You shall not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.

10 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass, when you shall show this people all these words, and they shall say unto you, Wherefore has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?
10 (KAT) A keď zvestuješ tomuto ľudu všetky tieto reči a oni sa ťa opýtajú: »Prečo Pán oznamuje proti nám všetko toto nešťastie? Čo je naša vina a čo je náš hriech, ktorým sme sa previnili proti Pánovi, nášmu Bohu?«

11 (UKJV) "Then shall you say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, says the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law; "

12 (UKJV) "And all of you have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, all of you walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me: "

13 (UKJV) "Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that all of you know not, neither all of you nor your fathers; and there shall all of you serve other gods day and night; where I will not show you favour. "

17 (UKJV) For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.

18 (UKJV) "And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable things. "

20 (UKJV) Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?
20 (KAT) Nuž či si človek urobí bohov? Veď sú to nie bohovia!

21 (UKJV) "Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD. "
21 (KAT) „Preto, hľa, ja ich naučím, tento raz im dám poznať svoju ruku a silu a poznajú, že mám meno Jahve.“

Verš 4

"They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcasses shall be food for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. "

Jer 15:3 - And I will appoint over them four kinds, says the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.

Jer 34:20 - I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for food unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.

Verš 6

Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:

Lv 19:28 - All of you shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

Dt 14:1 - All of you are the children of the LORD your God: all of you shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

"For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of delight, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride. "

Iz 24:7 - The new wine mourns, the vine languishes, all the merry hearted do sigh.

Jer 7:34 - Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of delight, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

Verš 10

"And all of you have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, all of you walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me: "

Jer 7:26 - Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.

Jer 3:17 - "At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. "

Jer 9:14 - But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:
