Kniha proroka Jeremiáša

1 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה אלי אם יעמד משה ושמואל לפני אין נפשי אל העם הזה שלח מעל פני ויצאו׃
1 (UKJV) Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

2 (HEM) והיה כי יאמרו אליך אנה נצא ואמרת אליהם כה אמר יהוה אשר למות למות ואשר לחרב לחרב ואשר לרעב לרעב ואשר לשבי לשבי׃
2 (UKJV) "And it shall come to pass, if they say unto you, Where shall we go forth? then you shall tell them, Thus says the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity. "

3 (HEM) ופקדתי עליהם ארבע משפחות נאם יהוה את החרב להרג ואת הכלבים לסחב ואת עוף השמים ואת בהמת הארץ לאכל ולהשחית׃
3 (UKJV) And I will appoint over them four kinds, says the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.

4 (HEM) ונתתים לזועה לכל ממלכות הארץ בגלל מנשה בן יחזקיהו מלך יהודה על אשר עשה בירושלם׃
4 (UKJV) And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

5 (HEM) כי מי יחמל עליך ירושלם ומי ינוד לך ומי יסור לשאל לשלם לך׃
5 (UKJV) For who shall have pity upon you, O Jerusalem? or who shall lament for you? or who shall go aside to ask how you do?

6 (HEM) את נטשת אתי נאם יהוה אחור תלכי ואט את ידי עליך ואשחיתך נלאיתי הנחם׃
6 (UKJV) "You have forsaken me, says the LORD, you are gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against you, and destroy you; I am weary with repenting. "

7 (HEM) ואזרם במזרה בשערי הארץ שכלתי אבדתי את עמי מדרכיהם לוא שבו׃
7 (UKJV) "And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people since they return not from their ways. "

8 (HEM) עצמו לי אלמנתו מחול ימים הבאתי להם על אם בחור שדד בצהרים הפלתי עליה פתאם עיר ובהלות׃
8 (UKJV) Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.

9 (HEM) אמללה ילדת השבעה נפחה נפשה באה שמשה בעד יומם בושה וחפרה ושאריתם לחרב אתן לפני איביהם נאם יהוה׃
9 (UKJV) "She that has borne seven languishes: she has given up the spirit; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she has been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, says the LORD. "

10 (HEM) אוי לי אמי כי ילדתני איש ריב ואיש מדון לכל הארץ לא נשיתי ולא נשו בי כלה מקללוני׃
10 (UKJV) "Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on interest, nor men have lent to me on interest; yet every one of them does curse me. "

11 (HEM) אמר יהוה אם לא שרותך לטוב אם לוא הפגעתי בך בעת רעה ובעת צרה את האיב׃
11 (UKJV) "The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with your remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to plead you well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction. "

12 (HEM) הירע ברזל ברזל מצפון ונחשת׃
12 (UKJV) Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?

13 (HEM) חילך ואוצרותיך לבז אתן לא במחיר ובכל חטאותיך ובכל גבוליך׃
13 (UKJV) Your substance and your treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.

14 (HEM) והעברתי את איביך בארץ לא ידעת כי אש קדחה באפי עליכם תוקד׃
14 (UKJV) And I will make you to pass with your enemies into a land which you know not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.

15 (HEM) אתה ידעת יהוה זכרני ופקדני והנקם לי מרדפי אל לארך אפך תקחני דע שאתי עליך חרפה׃
15 (UKJV) "O LORD, you know: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in your longsuffering: know that for your sake I have suffered rebuke. "

16 (HEM) נמצאו דבריך ואכלם ויהי דבריך לי לששון ולשמחת לבבי כי נקרא שמך עלי יהוה אלהי צבאות׃
16 (UKJV) "Your words were found, and I did eat them; and your word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by your name, O LORD God of hosts. "

17 (HEM) לא ישבתי בסוד משחקים ואעלז מפני ידך בדד ישבתי כי זעם מלאתני׃
17 (UKJV) "I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of your hand: for you have filled me with indignation. "

18 (HEM) למה היה כאבי נצח ומכתי אנושה מאנה הרפא היו תהיה לי כמו אכזב מים לא נאמנו׃
18 (UKJV) Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? will you be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

19 (HEM) לכן כה אמר יהוה אם תשוב ואשיבך לפני תעמד ואם תוציא יקר מזולל כפי תהיה ישבו המה אליך ואתה לא תשוב אליהם׃
19 (UKJV) "Therefore thus says the LORD, If you return, then will I bring you again, and you shall stand before me: and if you take forth the precious from the vile, you shall be as my mouth: let them return unto you; but return not you unto them. "

20 (HEM) ונתתיך לעם הזה לחומת נחשת בצורה ונלחמו אליך ולא יוכלו לך כי אתך אני להושיעך ולהצילך נאם יהוה׃
20 (UKJV) And I will make you unto this people a fenced brazen wall: and they shall fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you: for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says the LORD.

21 (HEM) והצלתיך מיד רעים ופדתיך מכף ערצים׃
21 (UKJV) And I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.
