Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.
Lv 26:16 - I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
Dt 28:25 - The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?
Iz 51:19 - These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?
Verš 6
Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.
Jer 5:7 - How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people, since they return not from their ways.

And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.
Dt 32:22 - For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
Jer 11:20 - But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.

I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?
Jer 30:15 - Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
Jer 1:18 - For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
Jer 15,1 - Mojžiš a Samuel boli najmocnejší orodovníci, ktorí prosili u Boha za národ.
Jer 15,4 - O Manassesovi a jeho činoch pozri 2 Kr 21,1 n.; 2 Krn 33,1 n.
Jer 15,8 - Ženy stratia mužov, matky synov. I nad matkou, ktorá mala sedem synov, zájde slnko šťastia, lebo ich stratí.
Jer 15,10 - Verše 10-21 sú jedným z miest, ktoré nám posvietia na duševné útrapy plachého proroka, ktorý mal také ťažké poslanie (pozri úvod k nášmu prorokovi). Požičiavanie peňazí býva vždy a všade príčinou nepriateľstiev. U vtedajších Izraelitov bolo ňou tým viac, že od pôžičiek nesmeli prijať úrok.
Jer 15,11 - Prorok si nezaslúžil nenávisť, veď konal len v službe Pánovej a zastával sa u Boha ešte aj svojich nepriateľov. – Toto by bol asi najpravdepodobnejší zmysel verša, ktorý je veľmi porušený; preklady sa rozchádzajú.
Jer 15,12 - V starých časoch pokladali železo, dovážané zo severných krajov, za zvlášť tvrdé. U Izraelitov bolo toto železo asi symbolom nepriateľským, symbolom babylonských zbraní. Ale verš je tak porušený, že sa mnohí vzdávajú pokusu preložiť ho. Staré preklady tiež nedávajú vyhovujúci zmysel. Mnohí pokladajú verš za neskorší dodatok.
Jer 15,13 - Verše nepatria do tejto osnovy. Sú písané prózou, rušia súvislosť a sú veľmi podobné veršom 17,3-4. Odtiaľ sa omylom dostali sem.
Jer 15,16 - Porov. Ez 2,8; 3,1 n. – Jeremiáš bol prorok Jahveho, nazýval sa teda jeho menom.
Jer 15,18 - V Palestíne je mnoho potokov, ktoré v lete celkom vyschnú, pútnik by sa darmo spoliehal, že v nich nájde vodu.
Jer 15,19 - Prorok začal strácať dôveru v Pána, preto sa musí obrátiť, potom ho aj Pán obráti a urobí ho zasa svojím dôveryplným prorokom. Pravda, len tak bude môcť opäť hovoriť v mene Pánovom (bude Pánovými ústami), ak bude ohlasovať len jeho cenné reči a nie svoje malomyseľné, bezcenné žaloby.
