1 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה אלי הלוך וקנית לך אזור פשתים ושמתו על מתניך ובמים לא תבאהו׃
1 (VUL) Haec dixit Dominus ad me: “ Vade et posside tibi lumba re lineum et pones illud super lumbos tuos et in aquam non inferes illud ”.
1 (KAT) Pán prehovoril ku mne takto: „Choď a kúp si plátenný opasok a opáš si ním bedrá, ale do vody ho nedaj!“
1 (UKJV) Thus says the LORD unto me, Go and get you a linen girdle, and put it upon your loins, and put it not in water.

2 (HEM) ואקנה את האזור כדבר יהוה ואשם על מתני׃
2 (VUL) Et possedi lumbare iuxta verbum Domini et posui circa lumbos meos.
2 (KAT) Kúpil som si teda podľa Pánovho slova opasok a opásal som si ním bedrá.
2 (UKJV) So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.

3 (HEM) ויהי דבר יהוה אלי שנית לאמר׃
3 (VUL) Et factus est sermo Domini ad me secundo dicens:
3 (KAT) I prehovoril Pán ku mne po druhý raz takto:
3 (UKJV) And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying,

4 (HEM) קח את האזור אשר קנית אשר על מתניך וקום לך פרתה וטמנהו שם בנקיק הסלע׃
4 (VUL) “ Tolle lumbare, quod possedisti, quod est circa lumbos tuos, et surgens vade ad Euphraten et absconde ibi illud in foramine petrae ”.
4 (KAT) „Vezmi opasok, ktorý si kúpil, ktorý máš na bedrách, a zober sa, choď k Eufratu a schovaj ho tam do skalnej pukliny!“
4 (UKJV) Take the girdle that you have got, which is upon your loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.

5 (HEM) ואלך ואטמנהו בפרת כאשר צוה יהוה אותי׃
5 (VUL) Et abii et abscondi illud ad Euphraten, sicut praeceperat mihi Dominus.
5 (KAT) Išiel som teda a schoval som ho pri Eufrate, ako mi prikázal Pán.
5 (UKJV) So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.

6 (HEM) ויהי מקץ ימים רבים ויאמר יהוה אלי קום לך פרתה וקח משם את האזור אשר צויתיך לטמנו שם׃
6 (VUL) Et factum est, post dies plurimos dixit Dominus ad me: “ Surge, vade ad Euphraten et tolle inde lumbare, quod praecepi tibi, ut absconderes ibi ”.
6 (KAT) Po uplynutí mnohých dní mi Pán povedal: „Zober sa, choď k Eufratu a zober odtiaľ opasok, ktorý som ti rozkázal schovať tam.“
6 (UKJV) And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded you to hide there.

7 (HEM) ואלך פרתה ואחפר ואקח את האזור מן המקום אשר טמנתיו שמה והנה נשחת האזור לא יצלח לכל׃
7 (VUL) Et abii ad Euphraten et fodi et tuli lumbare de loco, ubi absconderam illud; et ecce, computruerat lumbare, ita ut nulli usui aptum esset.
7 (KAT) Išiel som teda k Eufratu, hrabal som a vzal som opasok z miesta, kde som ho bol schoval. A hľa, opasok bol skazený, nebol súci na nič!
7 (UKJV) Then I went to Euphrates, and dug, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was ruined, it was profitable for nothing.

8 (HEM) ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃
8 (VUL) Et factum est verbum Domini ad me dicens:
8 (KAT) Vtedy Pán prehovoril ku mne takto:
8 (UKJV) Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

9 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה ככה אשחית את גאון יהודה ואת גאון ירושלם הרב׃
9 (VUL) “ Haec dicit Dominus: Sic putrescere faciam superbiam Iudae et superbiam Ierusalem multam;
9 (KAT) „Toto hovorí Pán: Podobne pokazím pýchu Júdu a veľkú pýchu Jeruzalema.
9 (UKJV) Thus says the LORD, After this manner will I ruin the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

10 (HEM) העם הזה הרע המאנים לשמוע את דברי ההלכים בשררות לבם וילכו אחרי אלהים אחרים לעבדם ולהשתחות להם ויהי כאזור הזה אשר לא יצלח לכל׃
10 (VUL) populus iste pessimus — qui nolunt audire verba mea et ambulant in pravitate cordis sui abieruntque post deos alienos, ut servirent eis et adorarent eos — erit sicut lumbare istud, quod nulli usui aptum est.
10 (KAT) Tento podlý ľud, ktorý sa zdráha počúvať moje slová, ktorý chodí v zatvrdnutosti svojho srdca a vláči sa za cudzími bohmi, aby im slúžil a klaňal sa im, bude ako tento opasok, ktorý nie je na nič.
10 (UKJV) This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

11 (HEM) כי כאשר ידבק האזור אל מתני איש כן הדבקתי אלי את כל בית ישראל ואת כל בית יהודה נאם יהוה להיות לי לעם ולשם ולתהלה ולתפארת ולא שמעו׃
11 (VUL) Sicut enim adhaeret lumbare ad lumbos viri, sic agglutinavi mihi omnem domum Israel et omnem domum Iudae, dicit Dominus, ut esset mihi in populum et in nomen et in laudem et in gloriam, et non audierunt.
11 (KAT) Veď ako sa vinie opasok k bedrám muža, tak som vinul k sebe celý dom Izraela a celý dom Júdu, hovorí Pán, aby boli mojím ľudom, mojou chýrečnosťou, mojou chválou a mojou ozdobou, ale nepočúvali.
11 (UKJV) "For as the girdle cleaves to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, says the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear. "

12 (HEM) ואמרת אליהם את הדבר הזה כה אמר יהוה אלהי ישראל כל נבל ימלא יין ואמרו אליך הידע לא נדע כי כל נבל ימלא יין׃
12 (VUL) Dices ergo ad eos sermonem istum: Haec dicit Dominus, Deus Israel: Omnis laguncula implebitur vino. Et dicent ad te: “Numquid ignoramus quia omnis laguncula implebitur vino?”.

13 (HEM) ואמרת אליהם כה אמר יהוה הנני ממלא את כל ישבי הארץ הזאת ואת המלכים הישבים לדוד על כסאו ואת הכהנים ואת הנביאים ואת כל ישבי ירושלם שכרון׃
13 (VUL) Et dices ad eos: Haec dicit Dominus: Ecce ego implebo omnes habitatores terrae huius et reges, qui sedent de stirpe David super thronum eius, et sacerdotes et prophetas et omnes habitatores Ierusalem ebrietate;

13 (UKJV) Then shall you say unto them, Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

14 (HEM) ונפצתים איש אל אחיו והאבות והבנים יחדו נאם יהוה לא אחמול ולא אחוס ולא ארחם מהשחיתם׃
14 (VUL) et collidam eos, virum in fratrem suum et patres et filios pariter, ait Dominus; non parcam et non concedam neque miserebor, ut non disperdam eos ”.
14 (KAT) A porozbíjam ich druha o druha, otcov i synov spolu - hovorí Pán. Bez ohľadu, bez milosti a bez ľútosti ich zničím.“
14 (UKJV) And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, says the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.

15 (KAT) Počúvajte, nachýľte si ucho, nevypínajte sa, pretože Pán hovorí:
15 (UKJV) "Hear all of you, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD has spoken. "

16 (HEM) תנו ליהוה אלהיכם כבוד בטרם יחשך ובטרם יתנגפו רגליכם על הרי נשף וקויתם לאור ושמה לצלמות ישית לערפל׃
16 (VUL) Date Domino Deo vestro gloriam, antequam contenebrescat, et antequam offendant pedes vestri ad montes caliginosos; exspectabitis lucem, et ponet eam in umbram mortis et in caliginem.

17 (HEM) ואם לא תשמעוה במסתרים תבכה נפשי מפני גוה ודמע תדמע ותרד עיני דמעה כי נשבה עדר יהוה׃
17 (VUL) Quod si hoc non audieritis, in abscondito plorabit anima mea a facie superbiae; plorans plorabit et deducet oculus meus lacrimam, quia captus est grex Domini.
17 (KAT) Ak toto neuposlúchnete, v skrytosti mi bude plakať duša, pre pýchu usedavo nariekať, oči mi budú roniť slzy, lebo je Pánovo stádo zajaté.
17 (UKJV) "But if all of you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD's flock is carried away captive. "

18 (HEM) אמר למלך ולגבירה השפילו שבו כי ירד מראשותיכם עטרת תפארתכם׃
18 (VUL) “ Dic regi et dominatrici: In humo sedete, quoniam descendit de capite vestro corona gloriae vestrae.

19 (HEM) ערי הנגב סגרו ואין פתח הגלת יהודה כלה הגלת שלומים׃

19 (KAT) Mestá juhu sú uzavreté, nik ich neotvorí. Odvedú celé Júdsko, dôkladne odvedú.
19 (UKJV) The cities of the south shall be shut up, and none shall open them: Judah shall be carried away captive all of it, it shall be wholly carried away captive.

20 (HEM) שאי עיניכם וראי הבאים מצפון איה העדר נתן לך צאן תפארתך׃
20 (VUL) Leva oculos tuos et vide venientes ab aquilone: Ubi est grex, qui datus est tibi, pecus inclitum tuum?

21 (HEM) מה תאמרי כי יפקד עליך ואת למדת אתם עליך אלפים לראש הלוא חבלים יאחזוך כמו אשת לדה׃
21 (VUL) Quid dices, cum visitaverit te? Tu enim ipsa docuisti eos adversum te, amicos in caput tuum; numquid non dolores apprehendent te quasi mulierem parturientem?
21 (KAT) Čo povieš, keď ťa navštívia? Veď sám si ich učil proti sebe ako priateľov - nad hlavu! (?) Či ťa nezachvátia bolesti ako rodiacu ženu?
21 (UKJV) What will you say when he shall punish you? for you have taught them to be captains, and as chief over you: shall not sorrows take you, as a woman in travail?

22 (HEM) וכי תאמרי בלבבך מדוע קראני אלה ברב עונך נגלו שוליך נחמסו עקביך׃
22 (VUL) Quod si dixeris in corde tuo: “Quare venerunt mihi haec?”. Propter multitudinem iniquitatis tuae revelatae sunt laciniae tuae, pollutae sunt plantae tuae.

23 (HEM) היהפך כושי עורו ונמר חברברתיו גם אתם תוכלו להיטיב למדי הרע׃
23 (VUL) Numquid mutare potest Aethiops pellem suam aut pardus varietates suas? Tunc et vos poteritis benefacere, cum didiceritis malum.
23 (KAT) Či aj Etióp zamení kožu a leopard svoje pásy? Ako budete môcť konať dobro vy, privyknutí na podlosť?
23 (UKJV) Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may all of you also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

24 (HEM) ואפיצם כקש עובר לרוח מדבר׃
24 (VUL) Et disseminabo eos quasi stipulam, quae raptatur in vento deserti.

24 (UKJV) Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that passes away by the wind of the wilderness.

25 (HEM) זה גורלך מנת מדיך מאתי נאם יהוה אשר שכחת אותי ותבטחי בשקר׃
25 (VUL) Haec sors tua parsque mensurae tuae a me, dicit Dominus, quia oblita es mei et confisa es in mendacio.

27 (HEM) נאפיך ומצהלותיך זמת זנותך על גבעות בשדה ראיתי שקוציך אוי לך ירושלם לא תטהרי אחרי מתי עד׃
27 (VUL) adulteria tua et hinnitus tuus, scelus fornicationis tuae. Super colles in agro vidi abominationes tuas. Vae tibi, Ierusalem! Non mundaberis; usquequo adhuc? ”.
27 (KAT) Tvoje cudzoložstvá, tvoje erdžanie, tvoje smilstvá hanebné. Na kopcoch, na poli som videl tvoje ohavnosti. Beda, Jeruzalem, neočistíš sa; ako dlho ešte?“
27 (UKJV) I have seen your adulteries, and your neighings, the lewdness of your whoredom, and your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto you, O Jerusalem! will you not be made clean? when shall it once be?
