1 (HEM) שמעו את הדבר אשר דבר יהוה עליכם בית ישראל׃
1 (VUL) Audite verbum, quod locutus est Dominus super vos, domus Israel.

1 (UKJV) Hear all of you the word which the LORD speaks unto you, O house of Israel:

2 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה אל דרך הגוים אל תלמדו ומאתות השמים אל תחתו כי יחתו הגוים מהמה׃
2 (VUL) Haec dicit Dominus: “ Iuxta vias gentium nolite discere et a signis caeli nolite metuere, quae timent gentes,

3 (HEM) כי חקות העמים הבל הוא כי עץ מיער כרתו מעשה ידי חרש במעצד׃

4 (HEM) בכסף ובזהב ייפהו במסמרות ובמקבות יחזקום ולוא יפיק׃

6 (HEM) מאין כמוך יהוה גדול אתה וגדול שמך בגבורה׃
6 (VUL) Non est similis tui, Domine; magnus es tu, et magnum nomen tuum in fortitudine.

8 (HEM) ובאחת יבערו ויכסלו מוסר הבלים עץ הוא׃

11 (HEM) כדנה תאמרון להום אלהיא די שמיא וארקא לא עבדו יאבדו מארעא ומן תחות שמיא אלה׃
11 (VUL) Sic ergo dicetis eis: “ Dii, qui caelos et terram non fecerunt, pereant de terra et de his, quae sub caelis sunt ”.

12 (KAT) Zem stvoril svojou mocou, svojou múdrosťou postavil svet a svojím dôvtipom rozpäl nebesá.
12 (UKJV) He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

13 (HEM) לקול תתו המון מים בשמים ויעלה נשאים מקצה ארץ ברקים למטר עשה ויוצא רוח מאצרתיו׃
13 (VUL) Ad vocem suam dat multitudinem aquarum in caelo et elevat nebulas ab extremitatibus terrae; fulgura in pluviam facit et educit ventum de thesauris suis.
13 (KAT) Keď sa ozve, na nebi zahučia vody, od končín zeme dvíha oblaky, k dažďu pripája hromy a vietor zo svojich skladíšť vypúšťa.
13 (UKJV) "When he utters his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causes the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightnings with rain, and brings forth the wind out of his treasures. "

14 (HEM) נבער כל אדם מדעת הביש כל צורף מפסל כי שקר נסכו ולא רוח בם׃

15 (HEM) הבל המה מעשה תעתעים בעת פקדתם יאבדו׃
15 (VUL) Vana sunt et opus risu dignum; in tempore visitationis suae peribunt.
15 (KAT) Ničotou sú, dielom na posmech, v deň svojho navštívenia zahynú.
15 (UKJV) They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

16 (HEM) לא כאלה חלק יעקב כי יוצר הכל הוא וישראל שבט נחלתו יהוה צבאות שמו׃
16 (VUL) Non est his similis pars Iacob: qui enim formavit omnia, ipse est, et Israel tribus hereditatis eius, Dominus exercituum nomen illi.

18 (HEM) כי כה אמר יהוה הנני קולע את יושבי הארץ בפעם הזאת והצרותי להם למען ימצאו׃
18 (VUL) quia haec dicit Dominus: “ Ecce ego longe proiciam habitatores terrae in hac vice et tribulabo eos, ita ut inveniant me ”.

21 (UKJV) For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

22 (HEM) קול שמועה הנה באה ורעש גדול מארץ צפון לשום את ערי יהודה שממה מעון תנים׃
22 (VUL) Vox auditionis ecce venit et commotio magna de terra aquilonis, ut ponat civitates Iudae solitudinem et habitaculum thoum.

22 (UKJV) Behold, the noise of the bruit has come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.

23 (UKJV) O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walks to direct his steps.

24 (HEM) יסרני יהוה אך במשפט אל באפך פן תמעטני׃
24 (VUL) Corripe me, Domine, verumtamen in iudicio et non in furore tuo, ne forte ad nihilum redigas me ”.
