1 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה אלי קח לך גליון גדול וכתב עליו בחרט אנוש למהר שלל חש בז׃
1 (UKJV) Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take you a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.

2 (HEM) ואעידה לי עדים נאמנים את אוריה הכהן ואת זכריהו בן יברכיהו׃
2 (UKJV) And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.

3 (HEM) ואקרב אל הנביאה ותהר ותלד בן ויאמר יהוה אלי קרא שמו מהר שלל חש בז׃
3 (UKJV) "And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz. "

4 (HEM) כי בטרם ידע הנער קרא אבי ואמי ישא את חיל דמשק ואת שלל שמרון לפני מלך אשור׃
4 (UKJV) For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.

5 (HEM) ויסף יהוה דבר אלי עוד לאמר׃
5 (UKJV) The LORD spoke also unto me again, saying,

6 (HEM) יען כי מאס העם הזה את מי השלח ההלכים לאט ומשוש את רצין ובן רמליהו׃
6 (UKJV) "Forasmuch as this people refuses the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son; "

7 (HEM) ולכן הנה אדני מעלה עליהם את מי הנהר העצומים והרבים את מלך אשור ואת כל כבודו ועלה על כל אפיקיו והלך על כל גדותיו׃
7 (UKJV) Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:

8 (HEM) וחלף ביהודה שטף ועבר עד צואר יגיע והיה מטות כנפיו מלא רחב ארצך עמנו אל׃
8 (UKJV) "And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel. "

9 (HEM) רעו עמים וחתו והאזינו כל מרחקי ארץ התאזרו וחתו התאזרו וחתו׃
9 (UKJV) "Associate yourselves, O all of you people, and all of you shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all you of far countries: gird yourselves, and all of you shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and all of you shall be broken in pieces. "

10 (HEM) עצו עצה ותפר דברו דבר ולא יקום כי עמנו אל׃
10 (UKJV) "Take counsel together, and it shall come to nothing; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us. "

11 (HEM) כי כה אמר יהוה אלי בחזקת היד ויסרני מלכת בדרך העם הזה לאמר׃
11 (UKJV) For the LORD spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,

12 (HEM) לא תאמרון קשר לכל אשר יאמר העם הזה קשר ואת מוראו לא תיראו ולא תעריצו׃
12 (UKJV) "Say all of you not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear all of you their fear, nor be afraid. "

13 (HEM) את יהוה צבאות אתו תקדישו והוא מוראכם והוא מערצכם׃
13 (UKJV) "Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. "

14 (HEM) והיה למקדש ולאבן נגף ולצור מכשול לשני בתי ישראל לפח ולמוקש ליושב ירושלם׃
14 (UKJV) "And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a animal trap and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. "

15 (HEM) וכשלו בם רבים ונפלו ונשברו ונוקשו ונלכדו׃
15 (UKJV) And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

16 (HEM) צור תעודה חתום תורה בלמדי׃
16 (UKJV) Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

17 (HEM) וחכיתי ליהוה המסתיר פניו מבית יעקב וקויתי לו׃
17 (UKJV) And I will wait upon the LORD, that hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

18 (HEM) הנה אנכי והילדים אשר נתן לי יהוה לאתות ולמופתים בישראל מעם יהוה צבאות השכן בהר ציון׃
18 (UKJV) Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwells in mount Zion.

19 (HEM) וכי יאמרו אליכם דרשו אל האבות ואל הידענים המצפצפים והמהגים הלוא עם אל אלהיו ידרש בעד החיים אל המתים׃
19 (UKJV) And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mumble: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?

20 (HEM) לתורה ולתעודה אם לא יאמרו כדבר הזה אשר אין לו שחר׃
20 (UKJV) To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

21 (HEM) ועבר בה נקשה ורעב והיה כי ירעב והתקצף וקלל במלכו ובאלהיו ופנה למעלה׃
21 (UKJV) And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.

22 (HEM) ואל ארץ יביט והנה צרה וחשכה מעוף צוקה ואפלה מנדח׃
22 (UKJV) "And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness. "
