1 (CPDV) I wish that you would rend the heavens, and then descend! The mountains would flow away before your face.
1 (KAT) Ako keď oheň páli raždie a voda vrie od ohňa, aby si dal modloslužobníkom svoje meno znať, nech sa trasú pred tvojou tvárou (ich) národy.

2 (CPDV) They would melt, as if thoroughly burned by fire. The waters would burn with fire, so that your name might be made known to your enemies, so that the nations would be stirred up before your face.
2 (KAT) Keď si robil divy, zostúpil si, hoc sme nečakali, pred tvojou tvárou sa triasli vrchy.

3 (CPDV) When you will perform miracles, we will not be able to withstand them. You descended, and the mountains flowed away before your presence.
3 (KAT) Od večnosti nepočuli, neslýchali, oko nevidelo okrem teba Boha, ktorý by sa zastal tých, čo v neho dúfajú.

4 (CPDV) From ages past, they have not heard it, and they have not perceived it with the ears. Apart from you, O God, the eye has not seen what you have prepared for those who await you.
4 (KAT) Ideš v ústrety tomu, čo s radosťou robí spravodlivo, teba na tvojich cestách spomína. Hľa, ty si sa hneval - a my sme hrešili, boli sme stále v tom. Či budeme spasení?

5 (CPDV) You have met with those who rejoice in doing justice. By your ways, they will remember you. Behold, you have been angry, for we have sinned. In this, we have continued, but we will be saved.
5 (KAT) Všetci sme boli ako poškvrnení, sťa skrvavená šata bola všetka naša spravodlivosť a zvädli sme ako lístie, naše hriechy nás uniesli sťa vietor.

6 (CPDV) And we have all become like the unclean. And all our justices are like a rag of menstruation. And we have all fallen away, like a leaf. And our iniquities have carried us away, like the wind.
6 (KAT) Nebolo toho, kto by vzýval tvoje meno, kto by sa vzbudil a chopil sa teba, lebo si schoval pred nami svoju tvár, oddal si nás moci našich hriechov.

7 (CPDV) There is no one who calls upon your name, who rises up and holds fast to you. You have concealed your face from us, and you have crushed us with the hand of our own iniquity.
7 (KAT) Teraz však, Pane, ty si náš otec, my sme len hlina a ty si náš tvorca, všetci sme dielom tvojich rúk.

8 (CPDV) And now, O Lord, you are our Father, yet truly, we are clay. And you are our Maker, and we are all the works of your hands.
8 (KAT) Nehnevaj sa, Pane, tak veľmi a nespomínaj na hriech naveky; hľa, pozri, my všetci sme tvoj ľud.

9 (CPDV) Do not be so angry, O Lord, and no longer call to mind our iniquity. Behold, consider that we are all your people.
9 (KAT) Tvoje sväté mestá ostali púšťou, Sion sa stal púšťou, Jeruzalem sa stal pustatinou.

10 (CPDV) The city of your sanctuary has become a desert. Zion has become a desert. Jerusalem is desolate.
10 (KAT) Náš svätý a nádherný chrám, kde ťa chválievali naši otcovia, stal sa korisťou ohňa; všetko, čo nám bolo drahé, ostalo zboreniskom.

11 (CPDV) The house of our sanctification and of our glory, where our fathers praised you, has been completely consumed by fire, and all our admirable things have been turned into ruins.
11 (KAT) Či sa zdržíš po tom všetkom, Pane? Budeš mlčať a tak veľmi nás pokoríš?

12 (CPDV) Should you restrain yourself, O Lord, concerning these things? Should you remain silent, and afflict us vehemently?
12 ----
