(CPDV - Anglický - Catholic PD)

Iz 63, 1-19

1 (CPDV) Who is this, who arrives from Edom with dyed garments from Bozrah? This is the Handsome One in his robe, advancing by the fullness of his strength. It is I, the Speaker of Justice, and I am the Fighter for Salvation.

2 (CPDV) So then, why is your garment red, and why are your vestments like the ones of those who tread the winepress?

3 (CPDV) I have trod the winepress alone. And among the nations, there is no man beside me. I have trampled on them in my fury, and I have tread them down in my wrath. And so, their blood has been sprinkled on my vestments, and I have stained all my garments.
3 (KAT) „Lis som šliapal sám a z národov nebol nik pri mne.

4 (CPDV) For the day of vengeance is in my heart. The year of my redemption has arrived.
4 (KAT) Lebo som mal deň pomsty na mysli, a prišiel rok môjho vykúpenia.

5 (CPDV) I gazed around, and there was no one to assist. I sought, and there was no one who would help. And so, my own arm has saved for me, and my own wrath itself has assisted me.
5 (KAT) Obzeral som sa, ale pomocníka nebolo, díval som sa, nebolo však toho, kto by ma podporil; vtedy mi bolo pomocníkom moje rameno a podporila ma moja prchlivosť,

6 (CPDV) And I have trampled the peoples in my fury, and I have inebriated them with my indignation, and I have torn down their strength to the ground.

7 (CPDV) I will remember the compassion of the Lord, the praise of the Lord over all that the Lord has bestowed on us, and over the multitude of his good things for the house of Israel, which he has granted to them according to his leniency, and according to the multitude of his mercies.
7 (KAT) Milosrdenstvo Pánovo chcem hlásať, Pánovu chvályhodnosť, pre všetko, čo nám Pán urobil, pre veľkú dobrotu k domu Izraela, čo im preukázal vo svojom zľutovaní a v množstve svojej milosti.

8 (CPDV) And he said: “Yet truly, these are my people, sons who have not been disowned.” And he became their Savior.
8 (KAT) Veď povedal: „Je to predsa môj ľud, synovia, ktorí nesklamú!“ - a stal sa im spasiteľom

9 (CPDV) Throughout all their tribulation, he was not troubled, for the Angel of his presence saved them. With his love, and by his leniency, he has redeemed them, and he has carried them and lifted them up, throughout all the days of the ages.

10 (CPDV) But they themselves provoked to wrath and afflicted his Holy Spirit, and he was turned to be for them like an enemy, and he himself went to war against them.

11 (CPDV) And he remembered the days of ancient times, the days of Moses and his people. Where is he who led them out of the sea, with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who placed his Holy Spirit in their midst?

12 (CPDV) He led Moses by the right hand, with the arm of his majesty. He split the waters 425 before them, in order to make an everlasting name for himself.
12 (KAT) čo za pravicu viedol Mojžiša svojím velebným ramenom, čo rozdvojil vody pred nimi, aby si urobil večné meno,

13 (CPDV) He led them through the abyss, like a horse which does not stumble, in the desert.
13 (KAT) čo ich viedol hlbinami ako koňa púšťou bez potknutia?

14 (CPDV) Like an animal who descends to an open field, the Spirit of the Lord was their guide. Thus did you lead your people, in order to make a glorious name for yourself.
14 (KAT) Ako statok, čo zostupuje dolinou, tak ho viedol Pánov duch.“ Tak si viedol svoj ľud, aby si urobil slávnym svoje meno.

15 (CPDV) Gaze down from heaven, and behold from your holy habitation and from your glory. Where is your zeal, and your strength, the fullness of your heart and of your compassion? They have held themselves back from me.
15 (KAT) Pozri sa z neba a hľaď z príbytku svojej svätosti a veleby. Kde je tvoja horlivosť a tvoja moc? Hnutie tvojej lásky a tvoje zmilovanie (sú zdržanlivé ku mne)? Veď ty si náš otec,

16 (CPDV) For you are our Father, and Abraham has not known us, and Israel has been ignorant of us. You are our Father, O Lord our Redeemer. Your name is beyond all ages.
16 (KAT) lebo Abrahám o nás nevie a Izrael nás nepozná! Ty, Pane, si náš otec, máš meno: vykupiteľ náš pradávny.

17 (CPDV) Why have you allowed us to stray from your ways, O Lord? Why have you hardened our heart, so that we do not fear you? Return, for the sake of your servants, the tribes of your inheritance.
17 (KAT) Prečo nás, Pane, odkláňaš od svojich ciest, zatvrdzuješ nám srdce na bázeň voči tebe? Vráť sa kvôli svojim sluhom, kvôli kmeňom svojho dedičstva.

18 (CPDV) They have possessed your holy people as if it were nothing. Our enemies have trampled your sanctuary.
18 (KAT) Ako maličkosť zvládli tvoj svätý ľud, naši nepriatelia ti pošliapali svätyňu.

19 (CPDV) We have become as we were in the beginning, when you did not rule over us, and when we were not called by your name.
19 (KAT) Sme ako tí, nad ktorými dávno nevládneš, nad ktorými sa nevzýva tvoje meno. Kiež by si prelomil nebesá a zostúpil, vrchy by sa triasli pred tvojou tvárou.

Iz 59:16 - And he saw that there was no good man. And he was astonished that there was no one to meet him. And his own arm brought salvation to him, and his own justice strengthened him.

Verš 9
Throughout all their tribulation, he was not troubled, for the Angel of his presence saved them. With his love, and by his leniency, he has redeemed them, and he has carried them and lifted them up, throughout all the days of the ages.
Dt 7:7 - It is not because you surpass all the nations in number that the Lord has joined with you and has chosen you, for you are the least numerous of any people.

Verš 10
But they themselves provoked to wrath and afflicted his Holy Spirit, and he was turned to be for them like an enemy, and he himself went to war against them.
Nm 14:11 - And the Lord said to Moses: “How long will this people disparage me? How long will they refuse to believe me, despite all the signs that I have wrought before them?
Ž 78:57 -
Ž 95:9 - Adore the Lord in his holy court. Let the entire earth be shaken before his face.

Verš 13
He led them through the abyss, like a horse which does not stumble, in the desert.

Ž 74:7 - For it is neither from the east, nor from the west, nor before the desert mountains.

Iz 63,4 - Pre deň pomsty a rok milosti pozri pozn. k 61,1–3.

Iz 63,9 - V osnove začiatku tohto verša sme so LXX urobili maličkú zmenu.
