1 (KJV) Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
1 (ROH) Hľa, ruka Hospodinova nie je prikrátka, aby nemohla zachrániť, ani jeho ucho nie je priťažké, aby nemohlo počuť;
2 (KJV) But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
2 (ROH) ale vaše neprávosti spravily priehradu medzi vami a medzi vaším Bohom, a vaše hriechy skryly pred vami jeho tvár, aby nepočul.
3 (KJV) For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
3 (ROH) Lebo vaše ruky sú poškvrnené krvou a vaše prsty neprávosťou; vaše rty hovoria lož, a váš jazyk žvatle prevrátenosť.
4 (KJV) None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
4 (ROH) Nie je nikoho, kto by volal po spravedlivosti, ani nieto ničoho, čo by sa súdilo po pravde. Každý sa nadeje na márnosť a hovorí klamstvo; tehotneje trápením a plodí neprávosť.
5 (KJV) They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
5 (ROH) Liahnu vajcia baziliškove a tkajú vlákna pavúkove: ten, kto by jedol z ich vajec, zomrie, a ktoré sa rozpučí nohou, z toho vyjde jedovatý had.
6 (KJV) Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
6 (ROH) Z ich vláken nebude rúcho, ani sa neodejú svojou prácou. Ich skutky sú skutkami neprávosti, a v ich rukách je dielo ukrutnosti.
7 (KJV) Their feet run to evil, and they make hast to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
7 (ROH) Ich nohy bežia ku zlému a ponáhľajú sa vyliať nevinnú krv; ich myšlienky sú myšlienkami neprávosti, spustošenie a skrúšenie na ich cestách.
8 (KJV) The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
8 (ROH) Cesty pokoja neznajú, ani niet súdu v ich šľapajach; svoje chodníky si porobili krivé: ktokoľvek by išiel po niektorom z nich, nepozná pokoja.
9 (KJV) Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
9 (ROH) Preto je ďaleko od nás súd, a spravedlivosť nás nedostihuje. Čakáme na svetlo, a hľa, tma, na nejaký záblesk, chodíme v mrákavách.
10 (KJV) We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
10 (ROH) Hmatáme jako slepí stenu; šmátrame jako tí, ktorí nemajú očí; potkýnajúc sa na poludnie klesáme jako za mraku; medzi zdravými sme jako mŕtvi.
11 (KJV) We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
11 (ROH) Mumleme všetci jako medvede, žalostne úpime jako holubi; čakáme na súd, ale ho niet, na spasenie, ďaleko je od nás.
12 (KJV) For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
12 (ROH) Lebo je mnoho našich prestúpení pred tebou, a naše hriechy svedčia proti nám; lebo sme si vedomí svojich prestúpení, a čo do našich neprávostí, známe ich.
13 (KJV) In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
13 (ROH) Robili sme neverne jako odpadlíci a luhali sme Hospodinovi, odvrátili sme sa nenasledujúc svojho Boha, hovorili sme útisk a odpadnutie, vymýšľali a vraveli sme lživé reči zo srdca,
14 (KJV) And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
14 (ROH) takže súd musel ustúpiť nazpät a spravedlivosť stojí zďaleka, lebo pravda klesla na ulici, a statočná priamosť nemôže vojsť.
15 (KJV) Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
15 (ROH) A tak vystala pravda, a ten, kto vyhýba zlému, vystavuje sa lúpeži. A Hospodin vidí, a je to zlé v jeho očiach, že nieto súdu.
16 (KJV) And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
16 (ROH) Keď tedy videl, že niet človeka, a predesil sa, že nie je nikoho, kto by sa prihovoril a zastal, preto mu pomohlo jeho rameno, a jeho spravedlivosť, tá ho podoprela.
17 (KJV) For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
17 (ROH) A obliekol spravedlivosť ako pancier a lebku spasenia položil na svoju hlavu, obliekol sa v rúcho pomsty jako v sukňu a odial sa horlivosťou jako plášťom.
18 (KJV) According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.
18 (ROH) Podľa zásluh, podľa zásluh odplatí prchlivosťou svojim protivníkom, odplatu dá svojim nepriateľom, aj ostrovom zaplatí to, čo zaslúžily.
19 (KJV) So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
19 (ROH) A tak sa budú báť mena Hospodinovho od západu a od východu slnca jeho slávy. Keď prijde protivník hoci jako rieka, Duch Hospodinov ho zaženie.
20 (KJV) And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
20 (ROH) A prijde Sionu vykupiteľ a tým, ktorí sa obrátili od prestúpenia v Jakobovi, hovorí Hospodin.
21 (KJV) As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
21 (ROH) A ja, moja smluva s nimi bude toto, hovorí Hospodin: Môj Duch, ktorý je na tebe, a moje slová, ktoré som vložil do tvojich úst, neuhnú od tvojich úst ani od úst tvojho semena ani od úst semena tvojho semena, hovorí Hospodin, odteraz až na veky.

Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Nm 11:23 - And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD's hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.
Iz 50:2 - Wherfore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.

None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
Jób 15:35 - They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit.
Ž 7:14 - Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

Verš 16

Iz 63:5 - And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
Verš 17
For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
Ef 6:17 - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
1Sol 5:8 - But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
Verš 20
And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Rim 11:26 - And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Iz 10:21 - The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
Iz 59,1 - 59. Kapitola obrazne zvýrazňuje mravný úpadok Júdskeho kráľovstva.
Iz 59,3 - Porov. pozn. k 1,11–15.
Iz 59,11 - Hriechmi prekážajú spáse, a predsa sa stále žalujú, prečo spása už neprichádza. Raz sú ich žaloby plné hnevu ako mrmlanie medveďa, inokedy sa žalujú ticho a vzdychajú, ako keď hrkúta holub.
Iz 59,16-21 - Pán vidí, že jeho ľudu nik nedopraje spravodlivosť, preto zasahuje on. S obnoveným národom, s Cirkvou, uzavrie Boh novú zmluvu. Dá jej svojho Ducha, ktorý bude večne s ňou, a náuku, ktorá nikdy nezanikne.
