1 (UKJV) Thus says the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have all of you sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.
1 (ROH) Takto hovorí Hospodin: Kdeže je rozvodný list vašej matky, ktorým by som ju bol prepustil? Alebo kde kto je z mojich veriteľov, ktorému by som vás bol predal? Hľa, svojimi neprávosťami ste sa predali, a pre vaše prestúpenia prepustená je vaša mater.
2 (UKJV) Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinks, because there is no water, and dies for thirst.
2 (ROH) Prečo, keď prichádzam, nie je nikoho, keď volám, nikto sa neohlasuje? Či je azda prikrátka moja ruka, takže by nemohla vyslobodiť? Alebo či nie je vo mne sily na to, aby som vytrhol? Hľa, svojím káraním vysušujem more, obraciam rieky na púšť; ich ryby sa zosmradzujú, pretože neni vody, a mrú od smädu.
3 (UKJV) I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.
3 (ROH) Obliekam nebesia v čierno smútku a vrece im dávam za odev.
4 (UKJV) The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens mine ear to hear as the learned.
4 (ROH) Pán Hospodin mi dal jazyk učených, aby som vedel občerstviť ustalého slovom. Budí každého rána, budí mi ucho, aby som počúval ako učení.
5 (UKJV) The Lord GOD has opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
5 (ROH) Pán Hospodin mi otvára ucho, a ja sa neprotivím, neuhybujem zpät.
6 (UKJV) I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
6 (ROH) Nadstavujem svoj chrbát tým, ktorí ma bijú, a svoje líca tým, ktorí ma rujú, neskrývam svojej tvári pred všelijakou potupou a pred opľuvaním.
7 (UKJV) "For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. "
7 (ROH) Ale Pán Hospodin mi pomôže, a preto sa nebudem stydieť, preto urobím svoju tvár ako kremeň, a viem že sa nebudem hanbiť.
8 (UKJV) "He is near that justifies me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me. "
8 (ROH) Blízko je ten, ktorý ma ospravedlňuje, kto sa tedy bude pravotiť so mnou? Nože sa postavme spolu! Kto je mojím protivníkom v súde? Nech pristúpi ku mne!
9 (UKJV) "Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up. "
9 (ROH) Hľa, Pán Hospodin mi pomôže, ktože je to tedy, kto by ma odsúdil? Hľa, tí všetci zvetšejú ako rúcho, moľ ich požerie.
10 (UKJV) Who is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of his servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
10 (ROH) Kto je medzi vami taký, ktorý sa bojí Hospodina a počúva na hlas jeho služobníka? Kto taký, ktorý chodí vo tmách a nemá jasu svetla? Nech sa nadeje na meno Hospodina a nech sa spoľahne na svojho Boha!
11 (UKJV) "Behold, all you that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that all of you have kindled. This shall all of you have of mine hand; all of you shall lie down in sorrow. "
11 (ROH) Hľa, vy všetci, ktorí zapaľujete oheň a opasujete sa iskrami, choďte vo svetle svojho ohňa a v iskrách, ktoré ste zanietili! Od mojej ruky sa vám to stane, že budete ležať v bolesti.

"He is near that justifies me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me. "
Rim 8:32 - He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

The Lord GOD has opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
Jn 14:31 - "But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go behind. "
Flp 2:8 - And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Heb 10:5 - Wherefore when he comes into the world, he says, Sacrifice and offering you would not, but a body have you prepared me:
Iz 50,1 - U prorokov je častý obraz, že Jahve je manželom a vyvolený národ manželkou. Izraeliti sú deťmi, Boh sa ich dvojako mohol zbaviť. Mohol prepustiť matku (Dt 24,1 n.), alebo mohol predať deti veriteľom za otrokov. Ale Boh neprepustil národ, ten by nevedel ukázať priepustný list. A ani nepredal deti, veď nemal veriteľov. Že sú predsa od Boha vzdialení, že sú v zajatí, to je pre ich hriechy. Boh však i takto volá národ naspäť k sebe, je dosť mocný, aby ho vyslobodil.
Iz 50,4 - O piesňach o Pánovom služobníkovi pozri pozn. pred hl. 42. – Národ bol neposlušný, tým poslušnejší je však Pánov služobník.
Iz 50,5-7 - Poslanie prorokov bolo ťažké, nejeden sa ho chcel striasť (porov. Ex 4,10; Jer 1,6; Jon 1,3). Pánov služobník ochotne prijíma aj najväčšiu potupu a utrpenie, ktoré ho pri plnení úlohy čaká. Trýznitelia nepreberajú v mukách, bijú ho, trhajú mu bradu, čo je bolestné a potupné (porov. Neh 13,25). Napľuť niekomu do tváre pokladali ľudia vždy za najväčšiu potupu (Nm 12,14; Dt 25,9; Jób 30,10). Pánov služobník však prijíma všetko bez reptania a tak trpezlivo, že mu na tvári ani nevidieť bôľ. (Ako sa to všetko splnilo na Mesiášovi, pozri Mt 26,67; 27,30; Mk 14,65; Lk 18,32; 22,64; Jn 18,22.)
Iz 50,10 - Osud pobožných býva často podobný osudu Pánovho služobníka. Ten dúfal v Boha a zvíťazil, preto i pobožní nech dúfajú v Boha i vtedy, keď sa utrpenie zdá beznádejným ako tma. Nástrahy svojich nepriateľov obráti však Boh proti nim. Oheň fakieľ, ktorý pozapaľovali na trýznenie iných, zasiahne ich samých.
