Kniha proroka Izaiáša

1 (UKJV) "But now thus says the LORD that created you, O Jacob, and he that formed you, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine. "
1 (KAT) Teraz však toto hovorí Pán, tvoj stvoriteľ, Jakub, tvoj tvorca, Izrael: „Neboj sa, veď ťa vykúpim, po mene ťa zavolám ty si môj.

2 (UKJV) "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you. "
2 (KAT) Keď budeš brodiť vodami, budem s tebou, a keď riekami, nepotopia ťa, keď pôjdeš cez oheň, nepopáliš sa a plameň nebude horieť na tebe.

3 (UKJV) For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour: I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for you.
3 (KAT) Veď ja som Pán, tvoj Boh, Svätý Izraelov, tvoj spasiteľ. Egypt dám ako výkupné za teba, Kuš a Sábu namiesto teba.

4 (UKJV) Since you were precious in my sight, you have been honourable, and I have loved you: therefore will I give men for you, and people for your life.
4 (KAT) Pretože si drahý mojim očiam, vzácny a ja ťa milujem, vydám ľudí namiesto teba a národy za tvoj život.

5 (UKJV) "Fear not: for I am with you: I will bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west; "
5 (KAT) Neboj sa, veď som s tebou ja, od východu privediem tvoje potomstvo a od západu ťa zhromaždím.

6 (UKJV) "I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; "
6 (KAT) Severu poviem: »Vydaj!« - a juhu: »Nezdržiavaj!« - priveď mojich synov zďaleka a moje dcéry od končín zeme,

7 (UKJV) "Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. "

8 (UKJV) Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

9 (UKJV) Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
9 (KAT) Nech sa zídu všetci pohania a zhromaždia sa národy! Kto z nich toto zvestuje? Veci predošlé nech nám oznámia, nech si postavia svedkov a vyhrajú spor, nech počujú a nech povedia: »Pravda!«

10 (UKJV) All of you are my witnesses, says the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that all of you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
10 (KAT) Vy ste mi svedkami - hovorí Pán - a môj sluha, ktorého som si zvolil, aby ste vedeli a uverili mi a pochopili, že som to ja, predo mnou nebol utvorený nijaký Boh a ani po mne nebude.

11 (UKJV) "I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. "
11 (KAT) Ja, ja som Pán a okrem mňa niet spasiteľa.

12 (UKJV) I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore all of you are my witnesses, says the LORD, that I am God.
12 (KAT) Ja som predzvestoval, spasil a oznámil a cudzieho u vás nebolo, nuž vy ste mi svedkami - hovorí Pán - ja som však Boh,

13 (UKJV) "Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it? "
13 (KAT) aj odteraz ním budem a z mojej ruky nevytrhne nik; čo urobím, kto to odčiní?“

14 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. "
14 (KAT) Toto hovorí Pán, váš vykupiteľ, Svätý Izraela: „Pošlem pre vás do Babylonu a vyženiem všetkých ako utečencov, i Chaldejcov do pyšných lodí.

15 (UKJV) I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
15 (KAT) Ja som Jahve, váš Svätý, Izraelov tvorca, váš kráľ.“

16 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD, which makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; "
16 (KAT) Toto hovorí Pán, ktorý urobil cestu cez more a cez dravé vody chodník;

17 (UKJV) "Which brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow. "
17 (KAT) ktorý vyviedol vozy i kone, vojsko i vojvodcov… - ležia spolu, nevstanú, dotleli, zhasli ako knôt - :

18 (UKJV) Remember all of you not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
18 (KAT) „Nespomínajte udalosti dávne, o veciach predošlých neuvažujte.

19 (UKJV) "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall all of you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. "
19 (KAT) Hľa, ja robím čosi nové, teraz to klíči, nebadáte? Áno, urobím cestu na púšti a rieky na pustatine.

20 (UKJV) The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
20 (KAT) Bude ma chváliť poľná zver, šakaly a pštrosy, lebo som dal vodu na púšti, rieky na pustatine, aby som napojil svoj ľud, svojho vyvolenca.

21 (UKJV) "This people have I formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise. "
21 (KAT) Ľud, ktorý som si utvoril, bude ohlasovať moju chválu.

22 (UKJV) "But you have not called upon me, O Jacob; but you have been weary of me, O Israel. "
22 (KAT) Nevzýval si ma, Jakub, netrápil si sa o mňa, Izrael.

23 (UKJV) "You have not brought me the small cattle of your burnt offerings; neither have you honoured me with your sacrifices. I have not caused you to serve with an offering, nor wearied you with incense. "
23 (KAT) Neprinášal si mi obetné baránky, svojimi žertvami si ma neuctieval. Neobťažoval som ťa darmi a netrápil som ťa tymianom.

24 (UKJV) You have bought me no sweet cane with money, neither have you filled me with the fat of your sacrifices: but you have made me to serve with your sins, you have wearied me with your iniquities.
24 (KAT) Nekúpil si mi vonnej trsti za striebro, tukom svojich žertiev si ma neopájal, lež obťažoval si ma svojimi hriechmi, trápil si ma svojimi neprávosťami.

25 (UKJV) I, even I, am he that blots out your transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember your sins.
25 (KAT) Ja, ja som to, čo kvôli sebe zotriem tvoje hriechy a nespomeniem si na tvoje neprávosti.

26 (UKJV) Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare you, that you may be justified.
26 (KAT) Pripomeň mi, súďme sa spolu, hovor ty, aby si vyhral spor.

27 (UKJV) Your first father has sinned, and your teachers have transgressed against me.
27 (KAT) Tvoj prvý otec zhrešil, tvoji tlmočníci ma zradili.

28 (UKJV) Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
28 (KAT) Preto som znesvätil sväté kniežatá, Jakuba som dal do kliatby a Izrael na potupu.“
