Ta dá pred ním národy a podmaní kráľov.

8 (KJV) But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
8 (ROH) Ale ty, Izraelu, môj služobníku, Jakobe, ktorého som vyvolil semä Abraháma, môjho priateľa

9 (KJV) Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
9 (ROH) ty, ktorého som pojal za ruku od končín zeme a povolal som ťa od jej najďaľších kútov a povedal som ti: Môj služobník si ty, vyvolil som ťa a nezavrhol som ťa!

10 (KJV) Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
10 (ROH) Neboj sa, lebo ja som s tebou; neobzeraj sa v strachu, lebo ja som tvoj Bôh! Posilním ťa aj ti pomôžem a podopriem ťa pravicou svojej spravedlivosti.

11 (KJV) Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.

12 (KJV) Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

13 (KJV) For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

14 (KJV) Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
14 (ROH) Neboj sa červíku Jakobov, hŕstko Izraelova! Ja ti pomôžem, hovorí Hospodin, a tvoj vykupiteľ, Svätý Izraelov.

15 (KJV) Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
15 (ROH) Hľa, učinil som ťa mlatidlom, ostrým a novým, dvojrezým; pomlátiš vrchy a rozdrtíš a s brehami učiníš tak, ako čo by boly plevy.

16 (KJV) Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
16 (ROH) Preveješ ich, vietor ich odnesie, a víchor ich rozptýli, a ty budeš plesať v Hospodinovi, v Svätom Izraelovom sa budeš chváliť.

17 (KJV) When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
17 (ROH) Čo do biednych a chudobných, ktorí hľadajú vodu, a niet jej, ktorých jazyk práhne od smädu, tých ja Hospodin vyslyším, ja, Bôh Izraelov, ich neopustím.

18 (KJV) I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
18 (ROH) Otvorím rieky na vysokých holiach a pramene v dolinách; obrátim púšť na jazero vody a suchú zem na zdroje vôd.

19 (KJV) I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
19 (ROH) Dám, aby rástla na púšti cedra, výborné drevo šittím, myrta a olejnatý strom; vysadím pustinu jedľou, jasenom a zelencom spolu,

20 (KJV) That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
20 (ROH) aby videli a poznali, uvážili a porozumeli vedno, že to učinila ruka Hospodinova, a Svätý Izraelov to stvoril.

21 (KJV) Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.
21 (ROH) Pristúpte a predložte svoju pravotu! hovorí Hospodin. Predneste svoje dôvody! hovorí kráľ Jakobov.

22 (KJV) Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.
22 (ROH) Nech predstúpia s tým a nech nám oznámia to, čo sa má prihodiť! Stalé veci prvé, jaké boly, oznámte, aby sme uvážili vo svojom srdci a zvedeli ich koniec, alebo veci, ktoré prijdú, povedzte nám, nech čujeme!

23 (KJV) Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.
23 (ROH) Oznámte to, čo prijde za tým, a poznáme, lebo veď ste bohovia! Áno, učiňte niečo dobré alebo zlé, aby sme žasli a videli to spolu.

24 (KJV) Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.
24 (ROH) Ale hľa, vy ste menej ako nič, i vaše dielo menej ako púhe nič. Ohavný je ten, kto si vás vyvolí.

25 (KJV) I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.

26 (KJV) Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.
26 (ROH) Kto z vás oznámi veci od počiatku, aby sme vedeli a uznali, a kto vopred, aby sme riekli: Spravedlivý je, má pravdu? Ale niet vonkoncom nikoho, kto by oznámil, ba ani niet nikoho, kto by dal počuť, ako ani nie je toho, kto by počul vaše reči.

27 (KJV) The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.
A Jeruzalemu dám zvestovateľa radostných vecí.

28 (KJV) For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counseller, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.
28 (ROH) Lebo vidím, že nieto nikoho, ani nie je medzi nimi toho, kto by poradil, aby, keď by som sa ich opýtal, dali odpoveď.

29 (KJV) Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.

Cyprus je druh ihličnatých stromov a tiež nikdy nestráca zeleň. Meno má od ostrova Cyprus, lebo Gréci a Rimania ho poznali odtiaľ.
