Iz 30, 1-33

1 (CPDV) “Woe to the sons of apostasy!” says the Lord. For you would take advice, but not from me. And you would begin to weave, but not by my spirit. Thus do you add sin upon sin!
1 (KAT) „Beda synom odbojným, hovorí Pán, keď kujú plán, nie však skrze mňa, robia zmluvu, nie však podľa môjho ducha, aby hromadili hriech na hriech.

2 (CPDV) You are walking so as to descend into Egypt, and you have not sought answers from my mouth, instead hoping for assistance from the strength of Pharaoh and placing trust in the shadow of Egypt.

3 (CPDV) And so, the strength of Pharaoh will be your confusion, and trust in the shadow of Egypt will be your disgrace.

4 (CPDV) For your leaders were at Tanis, and your messengers have traveled even as far as Hanes.
4 (KAT) I keď boli jeho kniežatá v Tanise a jeho poslovia dôjdu do Hanesu,

5 (CPDV) They have all been confounded because of a people who were not able to offer profit to them, who were not of assistance, 410 nor of other usefulness, except to offer confusion and reproach.

6 (CPDV) The burden of the beasts in the south. In a land of tribulation and anguish, from which go forth the lioness and the lion, the viper and the flying king snake, they carry their riches upon the shoulders of beasts of burden, and their valuables upon the humps of camels, to a people who are not able to offer profit to them.
6 (KAT) Výrok nad hrochom juhu: Cez krajinu úzkosti a biedy, odkiaľ je lev a levica, vretenica a okrídlený drak, vlečú na chrbtoch oslov svoje bohatstvo a na hrboch tiav svoje poklady k národu, ktorý im neprospeje.

7 (CPDV) For Egypt will offer assistance, but without purpose or success. Therefore, concerning this, I cried out: “It is only arrogance! Remain calm.”
7 (KAT) Veď Egypťania nič a nič nepomôžu, preto som zvolal: „Ozrutou sú nehybnou.“

8 (CPDV) Now, therefore, enter and write for them upon a tablet, and note it diligently in a book, and this shall be a testimony in the last days, and even unto eternity.
8 (KAT) Teraz choď, napíš to na tabuľu pred nimi a vpíš to do knihy, aby to bolo pre budúce dni ako svedectvo naveky!

9 (CPDV) For they are a people who provoke to wrath, and they are lying sons, sons unwilling to listen to the law of God.
9 (KAT) Lebo je to národ odbojný, lživí synovia, synovia, čo nechcú počuť náuku Pánovu,

10 (CPDV) They say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to those who behold: “Do not behold for us the things that are right. Speak to us of pleasing things. See errors for us.
10 (KAT) čo vravia vidiacim: „Neviďte!“ a prorokom: „Neprorokujte nám pravdu, hovorte nám príjemno, prorokujte klamstvá,

11 (CPDV) Take me from the way. Avert me from the path. Let the Holy One of Israel cease from before our face.”
11 (KAT) odbočte z cesty, odchýľte sa z chodníka, odstráňte nám spred tváre Svätého Izraelovho!“

12 (CPDV) Because of this, thus says the Holy One of Israel: Since you have rejected this word, and you have hoped in calumny and rebellion, and since you have depended upon these things,
12 (KAT) Nuž takto hovorí Izraelov Svätý: „Preto, že ste opovrhli týmto slovom, dúfate v násilie a klamstvo a opierate sa oň:

13 (CPDV) for this reason, this iniquity will be to you like a breach that has fallen, and like a gap in a high wall. For its destruction will happen suddenly, when it is not expected.

14 (CPDV) And it will be crushed, just as the earthen vessel of a potter is destroyed by a sharp blow. And not even a fragment of its earthenware will be found, which might carry a little fire from the hearth, or which might draw a little water from a hollow.

15 (CPDV) For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: If you return and are quiet, you shall be saved. Your strength will be found in silence and in hope. But you are not willing!

16 (CPDV) And you have said: “Never! Instead, we will flee by horseback.” For this reason, you will be put to flight. And you have said, “We will climb upon swift ones.” For this reason, those who pursue you will be even swifter.

17 (CPDV) A thousand men will flee in terror from the face of one, and you will flee in terror from the face of five, until you who have been left behind are like the mast of a ship at the top of a mountain, or like a sign on a hill.

18 (CPDV) Therefore, the Lord waits, so that he may take pity on you. And therefore, he will be exalted for sparing you. For the Lord is the God of judgment. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
18 (KAT) A preto Pán čaká, aby sa zľutoval nad vami, a preto sa dvíha, aby vás omilostil, veď Bohom pravdy je Pán, blažení všetci, čo dúfajú v neho.

19 (CPDV) For the people of Zion will live in Jerusalem. Bitterly, you will not weep. Mercifully, he will take pity on you. At the voice of your outcry, as soon as he hears, he will respond to you.
19 (KAT) Lebo, ľud na Sione, čo bývaš v Jeruzaleme, nie, nebudeš plakať, áno, zľutuje sa nad tebou na hlas tvojho volania; len čo ho počuje, vyslyší ťa.

20 (CPDV) And the Lord will give you thick bread and accessible water. And he will not cause your teacher to fly away from you anymore. And your eyes will behold your instructor.
20 (KAT) A dá vám chlieb tiesne a vodu úzkosti a tvoji učitelia sa viac neschovajú, očami budeš vidieť svojich učiteľov

21 (CPDV) And your ears will listen to the word of one admonishing you behind your back: “This is the way! Walk in it! And do not turn aside, neither to the right, nor to the left.”

22 (CPDV) And you will defile the plates of your silver graven images and the vestment of your gold molten idols. And you will throw these things away like the uncleanness of a menstruating woman. You will say to it, “Go away!”
22 (KAT) Vtedy poškvrníš svoje modly pokryté striebrom a zlatom obtiahnuté liate sošky. Rozhádžeš ich ako hnus, povieš im: „Von!“

23 (CPDV) And wherever you sow seed upon the earth, rain will be given to the seed. And bread from the grain of the earth will be very plentiful and full. In that day, the lamb will pasture in the spacious land of your possession.
23 (KAT) A on dá dažďa tvojmu siatiu, ktorým zaseješ roľu, a chlieb, úroda zeme, bude výdatný a záživný.

24 (CPDV) And your bulls, and the colts of the donkeys that work the ground, will eat a mix of grains like that winnowed on the threshing floor.
24 (KAT) Voly a osly, čo obrábajú zem, budú žrať obrok záživný, viaty sitom a vejačkou.

25 (CPDV) And there will be, on every lofty mountain, and on every elevated hill, rivers of running water, in the day of the slaughter of many, when the tower will fall.
25 (KAT) Na každom čnejúcom vrchu a na každom vysokom kopci budú potoky, prúdy vôd v ten deň veľkého vraždenia, keď budú padať veže.

26 (CPDV) And the light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, like the light of seven days, in the day when the Lord will bind the wound of his people, and when he will heal the stroke of their scourge.
26 (KAT) Svetlo mesiaca bude ako svetlo slnca, svetlo slnca však bude sedemnásobné (ako svetlo siedmich dní) v deň, keď obviaže Pán zlomeninu svojho ľudu a dotlčené rany vylieči.

27 (CPDV) Behold, the name of the Lord arrives from far away. His fury is burning and heavy to bear. His lips have been filled with indignation, and his tongue is like a devouring fire.

28 (CPDV) His Spirit is like a torrent, inundating, even as high as the middle of the neck, in order to reduce the nations to nothing, along with the bridle of error that was in the jaws of the people.

29 (CPDV) There will be a song for you, as in the night of a sanctified solemnity, and a joy of heart, as when one travels with music to arrive at the mountain of the Lord, to the Strong One of Israel.

30 (CPDV) And the Lord will cause the glory of his voice to be heard, and, with a threatening fury and a devouring flame of fire, he will reveal the terror of his arm. He will crush with the whirlwind and with hailstones.
30 (KAT) A Pán dá počuť svoj velebný hlas a zjaví rozmach svojho ramena v prchlivom hneve a v plameni žeravého ohňa, v záplave, búrke a v kameňoch ľadovca.

31 (CPDV) For at the voice of the Lord, Assur will dread being struck with the staff.

32 (CPDV) And when the passage of the staff has been begun, the Lord will cause it to rest upon him, with timbrels and harps. And with special battles, he will fight against them.
32 (KAT) A každý úder osudnej palice, ktorý mu zasadí Pán, bude za zvukov bubnov a hárf a v rozprúdenom boji ich zdolá.

33 (CPDV) For a burning place, deep and wide, has been prepared from yesterday, prepared by the King. Its nourishment is fire and much wood. The breath of the Lord, like a torrent of brimstone, kindles it.

Iz 30, 1-33

Verš 5
They have all been confounded because of a people who were not able to offer profit to them, who were not of assistance, 410 nor of other usefulness, except to offer confusion and reproach.
Jer 2:36 - How exceedingly vile you have become, repeating your ways again and again! And so, you will be ashamed of Egypt, just as you were ashamed of Assur.

Verš 13
for this reason, this iniquity will be to you like a breach that has fallen, and like a gap in a high wall. For its destruction will happen suddenly, when it is not expected.
Iz 29:5 - And the multitude of those who fan you will be like fine dust. And the multitude of those who have prevailed against you will be like embers fading away.

Verš 14
And it will be crushed, just as the earthen vessel of a potter is destroyed by a sharp blow. And not even a fragment of its earthenware will be found, which might carry a little fire from the hearth, or which might draw a little water from a hollow.
Jer 19:11 - And you shall say to them: Thus says the Lord of hosts: In the same way, I will crush this people and this city, just as the potter’s vessel was crushed and cannot be made whole again. And they will be buried at Topheth, because there will be no other place for burial.

Verš 17
A thousand men will flee in terror from the face of one, and you will flee in terror from the face of five, until you who have been left behind are like the mast of a ship at the top of a mountain, or like a sign on a hill.
Iz 17:6 - And what is left behind in it will be like one cluster of grapes, or like a shaken olive tree with two or three olives at the top of a branch, or like four or five olives at the top of a tree, says the Lord God of Israel.
Iz 24:6 - Because of this, a curse will devour the earth, and its inhabitants will sin. And for this reason, its caretakers will become crazed, and few men will be left behind.
Iz 24:13 - For so shall it be in the midst of the earth, in the midst of the people: it is as if the few remaining olives are being shaken from the olive tree, and it is like a few clusters of grapes, when the grape harvest has already ended.

Verš 18
Therefore, the Lord waits, so that he may take pity on you. And therefore, he will be exalted for sparing you. For the Lord is the God of judgment. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
Ž 2:12 - Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord might become angry, and you would perish from the way of the just.
Ž 34:8 - Let the snare, of which he is ignorant, come upon him, and let the deception, which he has hidden, take hold of him: and may he fall into that very snare.
Prís 16:20 - The learned in word shall find good things. And whoever hopes in the Lord is blessed.
Jer 17:7 - Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, for the Lord will be his confidence.

Verš 28
His Spirit is like a torrent, inundating, even as high as the middle of the neck, in order to reduce the nations to nothing, along with the bridle of error that was in the jaws of the people.
Iz 8:8 - And he will pass through Judah, inundating it, and he will cross over and arrive, even at its neck. And he will extend his wings, filling the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.”

Iz 30,20 - Rozumej: I keď bude ľud v tiesni, nebudú mu chýbať najpotrebnejšie veci pre telo a dušu: bude mať chleba a vody a nebudú mu chýbať mužovia, ktorí mu budú ukazovať pravú cestu.

Iz 30,22 - "Poškvrníš", rozumej: budeš ich pokladať za ošklivé, a preto im budeš vyhýbať.

Iz 30,24 - Prorok básnicky znázorňuje budúci blahobyt, keď ešte aj zvieratá dostanú čisté, dva razy osievané zrno.

Iz 30,25 - Aj hojnosť vody a svetla označuje blahobyt, ktorý však príde až potom, keď Boh vykoná súd. Prorok tu hovorí pravdepodobne o novom nebi a novej zemi (porov. Rim 8,21; 2 Pt 3,13; Zjv 21,1).
