Kniha proroka Izaiáša

1 (KJV) In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
1 (ROH) V ten deň navštívi Hospodin svojím mečom, tvrdým, veľkým a mocným, Leviatána, dlhého hada rýchleho, a Leviatána, skrúteného hada, a zabije draka, ktorý je v mori.

2 (KJV) In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.
2 (ROH) Toho dňa povedia: Vinica, ktorá rodí tuhé víno výborné! Ospevujte ju!

3 (KJV) I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.
3 (ROH) Sám ja, Hospodin, ju budem pozorovať, každú chvíľu ju budem zvlažovať; aby ju nenavštívilo niečo zlé; vnoci i vodne ju budem pozorovať.

4 (KJV) Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.
4 (ROH) Nemám proti nej hnevu. Kto mi dá nejaký tŕň či bodliak, aby sa pustil so mnou do boja? Postúpil by som proti tomu a spálil by som to razom.

5 (KJV) Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.
5 (ROH) Alebo radšej nech sa chopí mojej pevnosti a učiní so mnou pokoj, áno, nech učiní so mnou pokoj!

6 (KJV) He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.
6 (ROH) Vo dňoch, ktoré prijdú, zakorení Jakoba; pučať a kvitnúť bude Izrael, a tvár okruhu sveta bude plná plodu.

7 (KJV) Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?
7 (ROH) Či ho azda ubil, ako ubil toho, ktorý ho bil? Či je zabitý jako sú pobití, ktorých on pobil?

8 (KJV) In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.
8 (ROH) Mierne si ju trestal i vtedy, keď si ju bol zahnal. Rozmýšľajúc úpel vo svojom urputnom duchu v deň východného vetra.

9 (KJV) By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
9 (ROH) A tak tým spôsobom bude pokrytá neprávosť Jakobova, a to bude ten celý užitok, že odstráni jeho hriech, keď obráti všetky kamene oltára na rozvaleninu, takže budú jako rozmetané kamene vápencové; nepovstanú viacej háje ani slnečné obrazy.

10 (KJV) Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.
10 (ROH) Lebo ohradené mesto bude osamotené, bude príbytkom odvrhnutým a opusteným, bude jako pustina; tam sa bude pásť teľa, tam bude líhať a poobžiera jeho vetvi.

11 (KJV) When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.
11 (ROH) Keď dozrievajúc bude schnúť jeho žnivo, bude skrúšené; ženy prijdú, zapália ho; lebo to nie je národ, ktorý by mal rozum; preto sa nezľutuje nad ním ten, ktorý ho učinil, ani sa nezmiluje nad ním ten, ktorý ho sformoval.

12 (KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.
12 (ROH) A stane sa toho dňa, že Hospodin bude otĺkať svoje ovocie hen od toku rieky až po Egyptský potok, a vy budete posberaní po jednom, synovia Izraelovi.

13 (KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
13 (ROH) Stane sa toho dňa, že sa bude trúbiť na veľkú trúbu, a prijdú tí, ktorí boli zahynuli v assýrskej zemi, jako aj tí, ktorí boli zahnaní do Egyptskej zeme, a budú sa klaňať Hospodinovi na vrchu svätosti, v Jeruzaleme.
