1 (KJV) The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the housetops?
1 (ROH) Bremä Údolia videnia. Čo sa ti stalo, kde, že si vyšlo všetko hore na postrešia?

2 (KJV) Thou that art full of stirs, a tumultuous city, a joyous city: thy slain men are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.
2 (ROH) Ty, mesto, plné hrmotu a ruchu, nádherné, veselé mesto rozpustilé! Tvoji pobití nie sú pobití mečom ani nepomreli v boji.

3 (KJV) All thy rulers are fled together, they are bound by the archers: all that are found in thee are bound together, which have fled from far.
3 (ROH) Tvoje kniežatá zutekaly všetky napospol, spútané sú bez výstrelu z lučišťa; tí, ktorí sa našli z teba, spútaní sú všetci dovedna; utekali ešte zďaleka.

4 (KJV) Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.
4 (ROH) Preto som povedal: Hľaďte preč odo mňa, nedívajte sa na mňa, nech nariekam horko; neusilujte sa ma potešiť nad spustošením dcéry môjho ľudu.

5 (KJV) For it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.
5 (ROH) Lebo deň veľkého nepokoja, pošliapania a zmätku má Pán Hospodin Zástupov v Údolí videnia: podkopávajú múr; krik počuť na vrchu.

6 (KJV) And Elam bare the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield.
6 (ROH) Élam zodvihne túl dohrmiac na vozoch, obsadených ľuďmi, jazdcami, a Kír obnažil štít.

7 (KJV) And it shall come to pass, that thy choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
7 (ROH) Stane sa, že tvoje najvýbornejšie doliny budú plné vojenných vozov, a jazdcovia sa pevne postavia k bráne.

8 (KJV) And he discovered the covering of Judah, and thou didst look in that day to the armour of the house of the forest.
8 (ROH) A tak odkryje Hospodin zastrenie s očí Júdu. A budeš hľadieť toho dňa ku zbrani domu lesa,

9 (KJV) Ye have seen also the breaches of the city of David, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
9 (ROH) ale budete vidieť iba trhliny mesta Dávidovho, lebo ich bude mnoho, a preto soberiete vodu dolného rybníka.

10 (KJV) And ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses have ye broken down to fortify the wall.
10 (ROH) A spočítate domy Jeruzalema a poboríte domy, aby ste upevnili múr.

11 (KJV) Ye made also a ditch between the two walls for the water of the old pool: but ye have not looked unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that fashioned it long ago.
11 (ROH) Spravíte aj nádrž medzi dvoma múrami pre vodu starého rybníka a len nebudete hľadieť k tomu, ktorý to učinil, a toho, ktorý to utvoril od dávna, neuvidíte.

12 (KJV) And in that day did the Lord GOD of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:
12 (ROH) A keď bude volať Pán Hospodin Zástupov toho dňa k plaču, k náreku, k plešine, znaku smútku, a opásať mechovisko,

13 (KJV) And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we shall die.
13 (ROH) tu hľa, u vás veselosť a radosť, budete zabíjať voly a biť ovce, jesť mäso a piť víno a vravieť: Jesť a piť, lebo zajtra zomrieme!

14 (KJV) And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
14 (ROH) Preto sa zjavil Hospodin Zástupov v mojich ušiach a prisahal, že vám nebude pokrytá táto neprávosť, dokiaľ len nepomriete, hovorí Pán Hospodin Zástupov.

15 (KJV) Thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get thee unto this treasurer, even unto Shebna, which is over the house, and say,
15 (ROH) Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin Zástupov: Idi, vojdi k tomu komorníkovi, idi na Šebnu, ktorý je nad domom,

16 (KJV) What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock?
16 (ROH) a povieš mu: Čo ty tu chceš a koho ty tu máš, že si si tu vytesal hrob? Na výšine si vyteše svoj hrob, do skaly si vyseká svoj príbytok!

17 (KJV) Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee.
17 (ROH) Hľa, Hospodin ťa mrští na zem, ako keď niečo mrští silný muž, a zgniavi ťa dôkladne,

18 (KJV) He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house.
18 (ROH) svinie ťa pevne do klba, na guľu, a zašmarí do širokej zeme priestrannej; tam zomrieš, a ta budú odpratané vozy tvojej slávy, ty potupo domu svojho pána!

19 (KJV) And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down.
19 (ROH) Odsotím ťa preč s tvojho stanovišťa, a srazia ťa s miesta, na ktorom stojíš.

20 (KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:
20 (ROH) A stane sa toho dňa, že povolám svojho služobníka Elijakima, syna Hilkiášovho,

21 (KJV) And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
21 (ROH) a oblečiem ho do tvojej sukne a upevním ho tvojím pásom a tvoje panovanie dám do jeho ruky, a tak bude otcom obyvateľovi Jeruzalema a domu Júdovmu.

22 (KJV) And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
22 (ROH) A dám kľúč domu Dávidovho na jeho plece, takže keď otvorí, nikto nezavrie, a keď zavrie, nikto neotvorí.

23 (KJV) And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.
23 (ROH) Zatlčiem ho jako klin na pevnom mieste, a bude trónom slávy domu svojho otca.

24 (KJV) And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.
24 (ROH) A povešajú na neho rôzne výrastky a jalové výhonky všetku slávu domu jeho otca, všetky nádoby, i tú najmenšiu z nich, od nádob medeníc až po všetky nádoby kožíc.

25 (KJV) In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
25 (ROH) Toho dňa, hovorí Hospodin Zástupov, uhne klin, zatlčený na pevnom mieste, a bude vyťatý a padne, a bude odťaté bremeno, ktoré je na ňom, lebo to hovoril Hospodin.
