1 (UKJV) The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
1 (HEM) הדבר אשר חזה ישעיהו בן אמוץ על יהודה וירושלם׃
1 (KAT) Slovo, ktoré videl Izaiáš, syn Amosov, o Júdsku a Jeruzaleme.
2 (UKJV) "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. "
2 (HEM) והיה באחרית הימים נכון יהיה הר בית יהוה בראש ההרים ונשא מגבעות ונהרו אליו כל הגוים׃
2 (KAT) Na konci dní bude upevnený vrch Pánovho domu na temene hôr a vyčnievať bude nad pahorky; i budú sa naň hrnúť všetky národy.
3 (UKJV) "And many people shall go and say, Come all of you, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. "
3 (HEM) והלכו עמים רבים ואמרו לכו ונעלה אל הר יהוה אל בית אלהי יעקב וירנו מדרכיו ונלכה בארחתיו כי מציון תצא תורה ודבר יהוה מירושלם׃
3 (KAT) Prídu mnohé kmene a povedia: „Hor’ sa, vystúpme na vrch Pánov, do domu Jakubovho Boha, nech nás poučí o svojich cestách a budeme kráčať jeho chodníkmi.“ Lebo zo Siona vyjde náuka a Pánovo slovo z Jeruzalema.
4 (UKJV) And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
4 (HEM) ושפט בין הגוים והוכיח לעמים רבים וכתתו חרבותם לאתים וחניתותיהם למזמרות לא ישא גוי אל גוי חרב ולא ילמדו עוד מלחמה׃
4 (KAT) Rozsudzovať bude medzi národmi a naprávať početné kmene, takže si z mečov ukujú radlá, zo svojich kopijí viničné nože. Národ proti národu nezdvihne meč a nebudú sa viac priúčať boju.
5 (UKJV) O house of Jacob, come all of you, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
5 (HEM) בית יעקב לכו ונלכה באור יהוה׃
5 (KAT) Hor’ sa, dom Jakubov, kráčajme vo svetle Pánovom!
6 (UKJV) Therefore you have forsaken your people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
6 (HEM) כי נטשתה עמך בית יעקב כי מלאו מקדם ועננים כפלשתים ובילדי נכרים ישפיקו׃
6 (KAT) Veru, zavrhol si svoj ľud, dom Jakubov, lebo žijú podľa príkladu susedov: majú veštcov ako Filištínci a s potomkami cudzincov sa spolčujú.
7 (UKJV) "Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots: "
7 (HEM) ותמלא ארצו כסף וזהב ואין קצה לאצרתיו ותמלא ארצו סוסים ואין קצה למרכבתיו׃
7 (KAT) Jeho krajina je plná striebra a zlata a niet konca jeho pokladom. Jeho krajina je plná koní a niet konca jeho povozom.
8 (UKJV) "Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: "
8 (HEM) ותמלא ארצו אלילים למעשה ידיו ישתחוו לאשר עשו אצבעתיו׃
8 (KAT) Jeho krajina je preplnená modlami, klaňajú sa dielu svojich rúk, ktoré urobili ich prsty:
9 (UKJV) And the mean man bows down, and the great man humbles himself: therefore forgive them not.
9 (HEM) וישח אדם וישפל איש ואל תשא להם׃
9 (KAT) a kloní sa človek, korí sa každý. Nie, neodpusť im to!
10 (UKJV) Enter into the rock, and hide you in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
10 (HEM) בוא בצור והטמן בעפר מפני פחד יהוה ומהדר גאנו׃
10 (KAT) Zájdi do skaly, schovaj sa do prachu od strachu pred Pánom a pred velebou jeho slávy.
11 (UKJV) The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
11 (HEM) עיני גבהות אדם שפל ושח רום אנשים ונשגב יהוה לבדו ביום ההוא׃
11 (KAT) Pyšné oči človeka sa sklopia a pokorí sa hrdosť ľudí; len Pán sám bude povýšený v ten deň.
12 (UKJV) "For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: "
12 (HEM) כי יום ליהוה צבאות על כל גאה ורם ועל כל נשא ושפל׃
12 (KAT) Lebo deň Pána zástupov bude nad všetkým pyšným a vyvýšeným a nad všetkým hrdým; i bude to znížené.
13 (UKJV) And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
13 (HEM) ועל כל ארזי הלבנון הרמים והנשאים ועל כל אלוני הבשן׃
13 (KAT) Nad všetkými cédrami Libanonu, vysokými a hrdými, nad všetkými dubmi Bášanu,
14 (UKJV) And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
14 (HEM) ועל כל ההרים הרמים ועל כל הגבעות הנשאות׃
14 (KAT) nad všetkými vysokými horami, nad všetkými hrdými kopcami,
15 (UKJV) And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
15 (HEM) ועל כל מגדל גבה ועל כל חומה בצורה׃
15 (KAT) nad každou vysokou vežou, nad každým hradným múrom,
16 (UKJV) And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
16 (HEM) ועל כל אניות תרשיש ועל כל שכיות החמדה׃
16 (KAT) nad každou taršišskou loďou a nad každou pôvabnou krásou.
17 (UKJV) And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
17 (HEM) ושח גבהות האדם ושפל רום אנשים ונשגב יהוה לבדו ביום ההוא׃
17 (KAT) Pokorená bude pýcha človeka a znížená bude povýšenosť ľudí. Len Pán bude povýšený v ten deň,
18 (UKJV) And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
18 (HEM) והאלילים כליל יחלף׃
18 (KAT) modly však úplne zmiznú.
19 (UKJV) And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake terribly the earth.
19 (HEM) ובאו במערות צרים ובמחלות עפר מפני פחד יהוה ומהדר גאונו בקומו לערץ הארץ׃
19 (KAT) Vojdú do skalných jaskýň a do priekop zeme od strachu pred Pánom a pred velebou jeho slávy, až povstane podesiť zem.
20 (UKJV) "In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; "
20 (HEM) ביום ההוא ישליך האדם את אלילי כספו ואת אלילי זהבו אשר עשו לו להשתחות לחפר פרות ולעטלפים׃
20 (KAT) V ten deň zahodí človek svojich strieborných bôžikov a svojich zlatých bôžikov - ktorých si urobil na poklonu - krtom a netopierom,
21 (UKJV) To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the rugged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake terribly the earth.
21 (HEM) לבוא בנקרות הצרים ובסעפי הסלעים מפני פחד יהוה ומהדר גאונו בקומו לערץ הארץ׃
21 (KAT) aby zaliezol do trhlín skál a do jaskýň brál od strachu pred Pánom a pred velebou jeho slávy, až povstane podesiť zem.
22 (UKJV) Cease all of you from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of ?
22 (HEM) חדלו לכם מן האדם אשר נשמה באפו כי במה נחשב הוא׃
22 (KAT) Upusťte teda od človeka, ktorého dych je v jeho nose. Za čože ho teda pokladať?

Verš 11
The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
Iz 5:15 - And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
Verš 2
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. "
Mi 4:1 - "But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. "
Verš 3
"And many people shall go and say, Come all of you, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. "
Ž 110:2 - The LORD shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion: rule you in the midst of your enemies.
Verš 4
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Joe 3:10 - Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
Iz 2,1 - Hlavy 2 – 4 sú súvislým celkom s mesiášskym začiatkom (2,2–5) a mesiášskym zakončením (4,2–6). Toto proroctvo nachádza sa skoro doslovne aj u proroka Micheáša (4,1–3), ktorý bol Izaiášovým vrstovníkom. Dnes už nemožno s istotou vedieť, či ho Izaiáš prevzal od Micheáša alebo naopak a či obaja citujú nejaké staršie proroctvo na sebe nezávisle.
Iz 2,2 - Výraz "na konci dní" je u prorokov častý. Tu označuje dobu mesiášsku, ktorá bude posledným náboženským obdobím. Náboženstvo, založené Mesiášom, bude vrcholné a konečné, ďalšie, dokonalejšie náboženstvo už nebude. Z proroctva jasne vidieť, že "vrch Pánovho domu" je obraz budúcej náboženskej spoločnosti, ktorá bude vynikať nie svojou fyzickou, ale mravnou výškou, a práve preto budú sa k nej hrnúť národy, ktoré doteraz nepoznali pravého Boha. Tieto národy budú hľadať Boha, ktorého doteraz uctievali len Izraeliti v jeruzalemskom chráme. Budú sa chcieť naučiť jeho prikázania a podľa nich žiť. Týmto obrazom znázorňuje prorok silu a mierumilovnosť mesiášskej, kresťanskej náuky.
Iz 2,6 - V časoch Izaiášových Izraeliti nasledovali len zlý príklad pohanov, spolčovali sa s nimi a prevzali rozličné neresti tak od susedných pohanských národov, ako aj od národov západných (Filištínci mali svoje mestá v západnej časti Kanaánu).
Iz 2,9 - Modlárstvo, ktorého sa Izraeliti dopúšťajú, je tak veľký zločin, že sa prorok nevie zdržať rozhorčeného výkriku: "Nie, neodpusť im to!"
Iz 2,12 - Prorok predstavuje Boha ako obrancu ľudu, keď znázorňuje tak živo Boží súd nad kniežatami Izraela, ktoré vládli nielen podľa svojich rozmarov, ale ľud aj vykorisťovali. Bude deň Pána, často spomínaný u prorokov (Joel 1,15; 2,1.4; Am 5,18–20; Sof 1,7–14).
Iz 2,13 - Bášan je veľmi úrodná krajina východne od Genezaretského jazera a od horného toku Jordána. Jeho dubové lesy boli kedysi chýrne (Zach 11,2; Ez 27,6).
Iz 2,16 - Taršiš (Tarzis) bol pravdepodobne v južnom Španielsku. Taršišskými loďami volali lode, ktoré boli schopné plavby až do tejto ďalekej krajiny, teda lode veľké a mocné.
Iz 2,20 - "Krtom a netopierom" rozumej, že ľudia budú zahadzovať svoje modly na opustené miesta, kde bývajú len tieto nečisté zvieratá, ktoré na svetle ani nevidia.
Iz 2,22 - Človek je naozaj veľmi biedny, veď jeho život závisí od veci tak malichernej, ako je dych v nose.
