1 (UKJV) The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rides upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
1 (KAT) Výrok nad Egyptom: Hľa, Pán sa nesie na ľahkom oblaku a ide do Egypta! I trasú sa pred ním bôžikovia Egypta a Egyptu sa v hrudi roztápa srdce.

2 (UKJV) "And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. "
2 (KAT) „I popudím Egypt proti Egyptu, že bude bojovať brat proti bratovi, priateľ proti priateľovi, mesto proti mestu, kráľovstvo proti kráľovstvu.

3 (UKJV) "And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. "
3 (KAT) Egyptu unikne duch z útrob a pomätiem ich rozvahu, že sa budú vyzvedať u bôžikov, čarodejníkov, duchov a veštcov.

4 (UKJV) "And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, says the Lord, the LORD of hosts. "
4 (KAT) Vydám Egypt do rúk krutých pánov, tvrdý kráľ bude vládnuť nad nimi“ - hovorí Pán, Jahve zástupov.

5 (UKJV) And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
5 (KAT) Vysušia sa vody z mora a rieka úplne vyschne.

6 (UKJV) "And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither. "
6 (KAT) Páchnuť bude z riečišť, spľasnú a vyschnú rieky Egypta, zvädne trsť a šašina.

7 (UKJV) The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
7 (KAT) Plešiny sú pri Níle, pri brehu Nílu, veď všetko siatie Nílu uschne, zvädne, zmizne.

8 (UKJV) The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
8 (KAT) Kvíliť budú rybári, žialiť všetci, čo hádžu udicu do Nílu, a tí, čo rozprestierajú sieť na vode, sklesnú.

9 (UKJV) Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.
9 (KAT) Zahanbia sa tí, čo spracúvajú ľan, tí, čo češú a pradú biele nite.

10 (UKJV) And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.
10 (KAT) Jeho robotníci budú pošliapaní, všetci nádenníci zarmútení v duši.

11 (UKJV) Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say all of you unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
11 (KAT) Veru bláznivé sú kniežatá Tanisu, múdri radcovia faraóna sú hlúpou radou. Ako môžete vravieť faraónovi: „Syn mudrcov som, syn dávnych kráľov?“

12 (UKJV) Where are they? where are your wise men? and let them tell you now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts has purposed upon Egypt.
12 (KAT) Kdeže sú tvoji mudrci? Nechže ti oznámia a zvestujú, čo ustanovil Pán zástupov proti Egyptu.

13 (UKJV) "The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof. "
13 (KAT) Osprosteli kniežatá Tanisu, pomýlené sú kniežatá Memfisu, zavádzajú Egypt vládcovia jeho kmeňov.

14 (UKJV) The LORD has mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to go astray in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit.
14 (KAT) Pán vmiešal do jeho útrob ducha závratu, do bludu uvedú Egypt vo všetkom jeho konaní, ako blúdi opilec v tom, čo sám vydávil.

15 (UKJV) Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.
15 (KAT) A Egypt nebude mať diela, ktoré by previedla hlava a chvost, palmová ratolesť a trsť.

16 (UKJV) In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shakes over it.
16 (KAT) V ten deň bude Egypt ako ženy; triasť a báť sa bude rozohnanej ruky Pána zástupov, ktorou sa rozohnal proti nemu.

17 (UKJV) And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that makes mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he has determined against it.
17 (KAT) A júdska krajina bude Egyptu postrachom; keď ju ktokoľvek pred ním spomenie, bude sa triasť pre ustanovenie Pána zástupov, ktoré ustanovil nad ním.

18 (UKJV) "In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction. "
18 (KAT) V ten deň bude päť miest v egyptskej krajine, ktoré budú hovoriť rečou Kanaánu a prisahať na Pána zástupov, jedno sa bude volať Mesto slnka.

19 (UKJV) In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
19 (KAT) V ten deň bude Pánov oltár v strede egyptskej krajiny a pri jej hranici Pánov pomník.

20 (UKJV) And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
20 (KAT) A bude znamením a svedectvom Pánovi zástupov v egyptskej krajine: Ak budú volať k Pánovi pre utláčateľov, pošle im záchrancu a obrancu a oslobodí ich.

21 (UKJV) "And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it. "
21 (KAT) Pán sa dá Egypťanom poznať; Egypťania v ten deň poznajú Pána a budú mu prisluhovať obety a dary, sľúbia Pánovi sľuby a splnia ich.

22 (UKJV) And the LORD shall strike Egypt: he shall strike and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be implored of them, and shall heal them.
22 (KAT) Pán bude biť Egypt, biť, ale uzdraví. Tak sa obrátia k Pánovi; i dá sa im uprosiť a uzdraví ich.

23 (UKJV) In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
23 (KAT) V ten deň bude cesta z Egypta do Asýrska a budú chodiť Asýri do Egypta a Egypťania do Asýrska a Egypt s Asýrskom bude slúžiť.

24 (UKJV) In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
24 (KAT) V ten deň bude Izrael tretím pri Egypte a Asýrsku; požehnaním uprostred zeme,

25 (UKJV) Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
25 (KAT) ktorým požehná Pán zástupov slovami: „Požehnaný môj ľud Egypt a dielo mojich rúk Asýrsko a moje dedičstvo Izrael.“
