Kaz 10, 1-20

1 (UKJV) Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so does a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.
1 (ROH) Jako mŕtva mucha nasmradí a nakvasí masť apotekára, tak i vzácneho človeka pre múdrosť a slávu potupí máličko bláznovstva.

2 (UKJV) "A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left. "

3 (UKJV) Yea also, when he that is a fool walks by the way, his wisdom fails him, and he says to every one that he is a fool.

4 (UKJV) "If the spirit of the ruler rise up against you, leave not your place; for yielding pacifies great offences. "
4 (ROH) Ak povstane proti tebe duch panovníka, neopusti svojho miesta; lebo krotká pokojnosť činí prietrž velikým hriechom.

5 (UKJV) There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceeds from the ruler:
5 (ROH) Je aj iné zlo, ktoré som videl pod slnkom, ako je poblúdenie, ktoré vychádza zpred vladára.

6 (UKJV) Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place.
6 (ROH) Bláznovstvo býva dané na veľké výšiny, a bohatí sedávajú v nízkosti.

7 (UKJV) I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.

8 (UKJV) "He that digs a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaks an hedge, a serpent shall bite him. "
8 (ROH) Ten, kto kope jamu, padne do nej, a toho, kto borí plot, poštípe had.

9 (UKJV) "Whoso removes stones shall be hurt therewith; and he that cleaves wood shall be endangered thereby. "
9 (ROH) Kto odvaľuje kamene, ublíži si nimi, a ten, kto štiepe drevo, je ním ohrozený.

10 (UKJV) If the iron be blunt, and he do not sharpen the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.
10 (ROH) Ak je železo tupé, a niekto nenabrúsi jeho ostria, človek musí napnúť sily; avšak lepšie to spraví múdrosť.

11 (UKJV) "Surely the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better. "
11 (ROH) Ak poštípe had, keď ešte nebolo zakliatia, nemá užitku zaklínač.

12 (UKJV) "The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. "

13 (UKJV) The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous madness.

14 (UKJV) "A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him? "
14 (ROH) A blázon množí slová, kým človek nevie, čo bude; a to, čo bude po ňom, kto mu oznámi?

15 (UKJV) The labour of the foolish wearies every one of them, because he knows not how to go to the city.
15 (ROH) Práca bláznov ho unavuje, blázna, ktorý nevie ani len odísť do mesta.

16 (UKJV) Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, and your princes eat in the morning!
16 (ROH) Beda tebe zem, ktorej kráľom je dieťa, a ktorej kniežatá hodujú za rána!

17 (UKJV) Blessed are you, O land, when your king is the son of nobles, and your princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!

18 (UKJV) "By much slothfulness the building decays; and through idleness of the hands the house drops through. "
18 (ROH) Pre lenivosť klesá krov, a pre opustenie rúk tečie do domu.

19 (UKJV) A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes merry: but money answers all things.
19 (ROH) Pre veselý smiech stroja hostinu, a víno obveseľuje život, a peniaze dopomáhajú k tomu všetkému.

20 (UKJV) "Curse not the king, no not in your thought; and curse not the rich in your bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which has wings shall tell the matter. "
20 (ROH) Ani vo svojej mysli nezloreč kráľovi jako ani vo svoje ložnici nezloreč bohatému, lebo nebeský vták odnesie hlas, a okrýdlenec oznámi vec.

Kaz 10, 1-20

Verš 8

Prís 26:27 - Whoso digs a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolls a stone, it will return upon him.

Iz 3:4 - And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
Iz 3:12 - As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead you cause you to go astray, and destroy the way of your paths.
Oz 13:11 - I gave you a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.
Iz 5:11 - "Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! "
Am 6:4 - "That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; "

Verš 20
"Curse not the king, no not in your thought; and curse not the rich in your bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which has wings shall tell the matter. "
Ex 22:28 - You shall not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of your people.
