6 (HEM) כי בחלון ביתי בעד אשנבי נשקפתי׃

11 (HEM) המיה היא וסררת בביתה לא ישכנו רגליה׃

12 (HEM) פעם בחוץ פעם ברחבות ואצל כל פנה תארב׃
12 (UKJV) Now is she without, now in the streets, and lies in wait at every corner.)

13 (HEM) והחזיקה בו ונשקה לו העזה פניה ותאמר לו׃
13 (UKJV) So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an shameless face said unto him,

14 (HEM) זבחי שלמים עלי היום שלמתי נדרי׃
14 (UKJV) "I have peace offerings with me; this day have I paid my vows. "

15 (HEM) על כן יצאתי לקראתך לשחר פניך ואמצאך׃
15 (UKJV) Therefore came I forth to meet you, diligently to seek your face, and I have found you.

16 (HEM) מרבדים רבדתי ערשי חטבות אטון מצרים׃
16 (UKJV) I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.

17 (HEM) נפתי משכבי מר אהלים וקנמון׃
17 (UKJV) I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

18 (HEM) לכה נרוה דדים עד הבקר נתעלסה באהבים׃
18 (UKJV) Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.

19 (HEM) כי אין האיש בביתו הלך בדרך מרחוק׃
19 (UKJV) For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:

20 (HEM) צרור הכסף לקח בידו ליום הכסא יבא ביתו׃
20 (UKJV) He has taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.

21 (HEM) הטתו ברב לקחה בחלק שפתיה תדיחנו׃
21 (UKJV) With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

22 (HEM) הולך אחריה פתאם כשור אל טבח יבוא וכעכס אל מוסר אויל׃
22 (UKJV) "He goes after her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; "

23 (HEM) עד יפלח חץ כבדו כמהר צפור אל פח ולא ידע כי בנפשו הוא׃
23 (UKJV) "Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hastes to the snare, and knows not that it is for his life. "

24 (HEM) ועתה בנים שמעו לי והקשיבו לאמרי פי׃
24 (UKJV) Hearken unto me now therefore, O all of you children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

25 (HEM) אל ישט אל דרכיה לבך אל תתע בנתיבותיה׃
25 (UKJV) Let not your heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.

26 (HEM) כי רבים חללים הפילה ועצמים כל הרגיה׃
26 (UKJV) For she has cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.

27 (HEM) דרכי שאול ביתה ירדות אל חדרי מות׃
27 (UKJV) Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
