1 (HEM) בני לחכמתי הקשיבה לתבונתי הט אזנך׃
1 (KAT) Syn môj, všímaj si moju múdrosť a k mojej rozumnosti nakláňaj svoj sluch,
1 (UKJV) My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow your ear to my understanding:

2 (HEM) לשמר מזמות ודעת שפתיך ינצרו׃
2 (KAT) aby si si uchránil rozvahu a aby tvoje pery zachovali poznanie.
2 (UKJV) That you may regard discretion, and that your lips may keep knowledge.

3 (HEM) כי נפת תטפנה שפתי זרה וחלק משמן חכה׃
3 (KAT) Cudzinkine pery sú medom z plásta tečúcim a jej hrdlo je hladšie nad olej.
3 (UKJV) For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

4 (HEM) ואחריתה מרה כלענה חדה כחרב פיות׃
4 (KAT) Lež koniec s ňou je horkejší než palina a ostrejší ako meč na dve strany brúsený.
4 (UKJV) But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.

5 (HEM) רגליה ירדות מות שאול צעדיה יתמכו׃
5 (KAT) Jej nohy zostupujú do smrti, jej kroky dosahujú záhrobie.
5 (UKJV) "Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. "

6 (HEM) ארח חיים פן תפלס נעו מעגלתיה לא תדע׃
6 (KAT) Nekráča cestou života, jej kroky sú tackavé, ani nevie o tom.
6 (UKJV) Lest you should ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that you can not know them.

7 (HEM) ועתה בנים שמעו לי ואל תסורו מאמרי פי׃
7 (KAT) Preto ma teraz, syn môj, počúvaj a neustupuj od slov mojich úst!
7 (UKJV) Hear me now therefore, O all of you children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

8 (HEM) הרחק מעליה דרכך ואל תקרב אל פתח ביתה׃
8 (KAT) Stráň od nej svoju púť a nepribližuj sa k vchodu (do) jej obydlia,
8 (UKJV) Remove your way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:

9 (HEM) פן תתן לאחרים הודך ושנתיך לאכזרי׃
9 (KAT) aby si nevydával iným svoju mladú sviežosť napospas a svoje roky ukrutníkovi,
9 (UKJV) Lest you give your honour unto others, and your years unto the cruel:

10 (HEM) פן ישבעו זרים כחך ועצביך בבית נכרי׃
10 (KAT) aby sa cudzí nenasycovali tvojím imaním a (aby neprepadali) v cudzincovom dome tvoje zárobky.
10 (UKJV) "Lest strangers be filled with your wealth; and your labours be in the house of a stranger; "

11 (HEM) ונהמת באחריתך בכלות בשרך ושארך׃
11 (KAT) Musel by si kvíliť nakoniec, keby ťa pripravili o kožu a o telo,
11 (UKJV) And you mourn at the last, when your flesh and your body are consumed,

12 (HEM) ואמרת איך שנאתי מוסר ותוכחת נאץ לבי׃
12 (KAT) a musel by si doznať: „Ako som (len) mohol nenávidieť napomínanie a moje srdce pohŕdalo karhaním,
12 (UKJV) "And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; "

13 (HEM) ולא שמעתי בקול מורי ולמלמדי לא הטיתי אזני׃
13 (KAT) ako som mohol neslúchať hlas svojich učiteľov a nenakláňať sluch k tým, čo ma učili?
13 (UKJV) And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

14 (HEM) כמעט הייתי בכל רע בתוך קהל ועדה׃
14 (KAT) Takmer by som bol celkom do nešťastia upadol uprostred pospolitosti a zástupu.“
14 (UKJV) I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.

15 (HEM) שתה מים מבורך ונזלים מתוך בארך׃
15 (KAT) Pi vodu z vlastnej studnice, tečúcu (vodu) z vlastnej studienky!
15 (UKJV) Drink waters out of your own cistern, and running waters out of your own well.

16 (HEM) יפוצו מעינתיך חוצה ברחבות פלגי מים׃
16 (KAT) Aby sa nevylievali von tvoje pramene a na námestia stružky vôd.
16 (UKJV) Let your fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.

17 (HEM) יהיו לך לבדך ואין לזרים אתך׃
17 (KAT) Nech patria iba tebe samému a okrem teba nikomu!
17 (UKJV) Let them be only your own, and not strangers' with you.

18 (HEM) יהי מקורך ברוך ושמח מאשת נעורך׃
18 (KAT) Nech je požehnaný tvoj prameň a teš sa žene svojej mladosti!
18 (UKJV) Let your fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of your youth.

19 (HEM) אילת אהבים ויעלת חן דדיה ירוך בכל עת באהבתה תשגה תמיד׃
19 (KAT) Je sťaby utešená laň a srnka pôvabná; jej ňadrá nech ťa opájajú v každý čas, kochaj sa jednostaj v jej ľúbosti!
19 (UKJV) "Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy you at all times; and be you ravished always with her love. "

20 (HEM) ולמה תשגה בני בזרה ותחבק חק נכריה׃
20 (KAT) Veď prečože by si sa kochal v inej, syn môj, a (prečo) by si cudzinku objímal?!
20 (UKJV) And why will you, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

21 (HEM) כי נכח עיני יהוה דרכי איש וכל מעגלתיו מפלס׃
21 (KAT) Lebo pred Pánom sú cesty človeka, on zvažuje všetky jeho kroky.
21 (UKJV) For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he ponders all his activities.

22 (HEM) עוונותיו ילכדנו את הרשע ובחבלי חטאתו יתמך׃
22 (KAT) Cudzoložník sa polapí vo vlastných neprávostiach a zapletie sa v putách svojich pokleskov.
22 (UKJV) His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be held with the cords of his sins.

23 (HEM) הוא ימות באין מוסר וברב אולתו ישגה׃
23 (KAT) Taký zomrie z nedostatku náuky a zblúdi v množstve svojej hlúposti.
23 (UKJV) "He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray. "
