1 (HEM) משלי שלמה בן חכם ישמח אב ובן כסיל תוגת אמו׃
1 (KAT) Múdry syn naplňuje (svojho) otca radosťou. Ale pochabý syn býva na zármutok svojej materi.
1 (UKJV) The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

2 (HEM) לא יועילו אוצרות רשע וצדקה תציל ממות׃
2 (KAT) Nespravodlivo nadobúdané poklady sú neužitočné, spravodlivosť však zachraňuje pred smrťou.
2 (UKJV) Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivers from death.

3 (HEM) לא ירעיב יהוה נפש צדיק והות רשעים יהדף׃
3 (KAT) Pán nedopustí, aby spravodlivý hladoval, lež zapudzuje žiadostivosť nespravodlivých.
3 (UKJV) The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casts away the substance of the wicked.

4 (HEM) ראש עשה כף רמיה ויד חרוצים תעשיר׃
4 (KAT) Kto pracuje lenivou rukou, chudobnie, naproti tomu ruka pracovitých obohacuje.
4 (UKJV) He becomes poor that deals with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

5 (HEM) אגר בקיץ בן משכיל נרדם בקציר בן מביש׃
5 (KAT) Kto v lete zhromažďuje zásoby, je človek rozumný, kto drichme cez žatvu, je na hanbu.
5 (UKJV) He that gathers in summer is a wise son: but he that sleeps in harvest is a son that causes shame.

6 (HEM) ברכות לראש צדיק ופי רשעים יכסה חמס׃
6 (KAT) Na hlavu spravodlivého (sa hrnie) hojné požehnanie Pánovo, lež ústa nespravodlivých ukrývajú bezprávie.
6 (UKJV) Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

7 (HEM) זכר צדיק לברכה ושם רשעים ירקב׃
7 (KAT) Pamiatka spravodlivého je na požehnanie, lež meno bezbožných spráchnivie.
7 (UKJV) The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

8 (HEM) חכם לב יקח מצות ואויל שפתים ילבט׃
8 (KAT) Kto má múdre srdce, dá si povedať, naproti tomu mnohovravný blázon nevyhne sa poklesku.
8 (UKJV) The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a babbling fool shall fall.

9 (HEM) הולך בתם ילך בטח ומעקש דרכיו יודע׃
9 (KAT) Kto chodí bezúhonne, chodí bezpečne, čie cesty sú však kľukaté, ten sa prezradí.
9 (UKJV) He that walks uprightly walks surely: but he that perverts his ways shall be known.

10 (HEM) קרץ עין יתן עצבת ואויל שפתים ילבט׃
10 (KAT) Kto mrká okom, spôsobuje bôľ a mnohovravný blázon nevyhne sa poklesku.
10 (UKJV) He that winks with the eye causes sorrow: but a babbling fool shall fall.

11 (HEM) מקור חיים פי צדיק ופי רשעים יכסה חמס׃
11 (KAT) Ústa spravodlivého sú prameňom života, lež ústa bezbožných ukrývajú bezprávie.
11 (UKJV) The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

12 (HEM) שנאה תעורר מדנים ועל כל פשעים תכסה אהבה׃
12 (KAT) Nenávisť vyvoláva rozbroje, láska však ututláva všetky priestupky.
12 (UKJV) Hatred stirs up strifes: but love covers all sins.

13 (HEM) בשפתי נבון תמצא חכמה ושבט לגו חסר לב׃
13 (KAT) Na perách rozumného sa nachádza múdrosť, prút však (dolieha na) chrbát (človeka), čo rozum potratil.
13 (UKJV) In the lips of him that has understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

14 (HEM) חכמים יצפנו דעת ופי אויל מחתה קרבה׃
14 (KAT) Múdri skrývajú vedomosť, lež ústa pochábľa - to skaza vzápätí.
14 (UKJV) Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

15 (HEM) הון עשיר קרית עזו מחתת דלים רישם׃
15 (KAT) Majetnosť boháča je preň pevným mestom, postrachom núdznych je ich chudoba.
15 (UKJV) The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

16 (HEM) פעלת צדיק לחיים תבואת רשע לחטאת׃
16 (KAT) Zárobok spravodlivého (je na osoh jeho) životu, dôchodok koristníka (je mu) na skazu.
16 (UKJV) The labour of the righteous tends to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

17 (HEM) ארח לחיים שומר מוסר ועוזב תוכחת מתעה׃
17 (KAT) Putuje cestou k životu, kto dbá na napomenutia, ale kto si nevšíma dohováranie, ten blúdieva.
17 (UKJV) He is in the way of life that keeps instruction: but he that refuses reproof errs.

18 (HEM) מכסה שנאה שפתי שקר ומוצא דבה הוא כסיל׃
18 (KAT) Statočné pery zakrývajú nenávisť, ten však, kto roztrusuje klebety, je pochábeľ.
18 (UKJV) He that hides hatred with lying lips, and he that utters a slander, is a fool.

19 (HEM) ברב דברים לא יחדל פשע וחשך שפתיו משכיל׃
19 (KAT) Tam, kde je veľa rečí, nechýba hriech, a preto ten, kto drží svoje pery na uzde, je rozumný.
19 (UKJV) In the multitude of words there wants not sin: but he that refrains his lips is wise.

20 (HEM) כסף נבחר לשון צדיק לב רשעים כמעט׃
20 (KAT) Pretaveným striebrom je jazyk spravodlivého, no srdce bezbožných nestojí za nič.
20 (UKJV) The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

21 (HEM) שפתי צדיק ירעו רבים ואוילים בחסר לב ימותו׃
21 (KAT) Pery spravodlivého občerstvujú mnohých, blázni však hynú nedostatkom rozumu.
21 (UKJV) The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for lack of wisdom.

22 (HEM) ברכת יהוה היא תעשיר ולא יוסף עצב עמה׃
22 (KAT) Pánovo požehnanie nosí bohatstvo a nepridáva nijaké trápenie.
22 (UKJV) The blessing of the LORD, it makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

23 (HEM) כשחוק לכסיל עשות זמה וחכמה לאיש תבונה׃
23 (KAT) Pre blázna páchať neprávosť je zábavka, (priam tak) múdrosť pre rozumného muža.
23 (UKJV) It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding has wisdom.

24 (HEM) מגורת רשע היא תבואנו ותאות צדיקים יתן׃
24 (KAT) Čoho sa bezbožný bojí, to naň príde, čo si spravodliví žiadajú, to dostanú.
24 (UKJV) The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

25 (HEM) כעבור סופה ואין רשע וצדיק יסוד עולם׃
25 (KAT) Len sa búrka preženie a už nie je z bezbožníka nič, spravodlivý však je sťa základ večitý.
25 (UKJV) As the whirlwind passes, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

26 (HEM) כחמץ לשנים וכעשן לעינים כן העצל לשלחיו׃
26 (KAT) Čím je ocot na zuby a čím je na zrak dym, tým je lenivec pre tých, čo ho posielajú.
26 (UKJV) As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

27 (HEM) יראת יהוה תוסיף ימים ושנות רשעים תקצרנה׃
27 (KAT) Bázeň pred Pánom predlžuje dni života, lež roky bezbožných sa skracujú.
27 (UKJV) The fear of the LORD prolongs days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

28 (HEM) תוחלת צדיקים שמחה ותקות רשעים תאבד׃
28 (KAT) Očakávanie spravodlivých (sa premieňa) na radosť, lež nádej bezbožných sa obracia navnivoč.
28 (UKJV) The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

29 (HEM) מעוז לתם דרך יהוה ומחתה לפעלי און׃
29 (KAT) Pánova cesta je pevnosťou pre bezúhonného človeka a postrachom pre tých, ktorí pášu neprávosť.
29 (UKJV) The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

30 (HEM) צדיק לעולם בל ימוט ורשעים לא ישכנו ארץ׃
30 (KAT) Spravodlivý sa nikdy nepohne, ale bezbožníci neostanú bývať v krajine.
30 (UKJV) The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

31 (HEM) פי צדיק ינוב חכמה ולשון תהפכות תכרת׃
31 (KAT) Ústa spravodlivého rodia múdrosť, lež jazyk úlisný odrežú.
31 (UKJV) The mouth of the just brings forth wisdom: but the perverse tongue shall be cut out.

32 (HEM) שפתי צדיק ידעון רצון ופי רשעים תהפכות׃
32 (KAT) Ústa spravodlivého vedia, čo je milé, kým ústa bezbožných prevrátenosti.
32 (UKJV) The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverseness.
