1 (CPDV) And after this he said: “Cut out for yourself two tablets of stone similar to the first ones, and I will write upon them the words which were held on the tablets that you broke.
1 (ROH) A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi: Uteš si dvoje dosiek z kameňa, také, jaké boly tamtie prvé, a ja napíšem na dosky slová, ktoré boly na tých prvých doskách, ktoré si rozbil.
2 (CPDV) Be prepared in the morning, so that you may immediately ascend onto Mount Sinai, and you shall stand with me on the summit of the mountain.
2 (ROH) A buď hotový na ráno a ráno vyjdeš na vrch Sinai a tam mi budeš stáť na temene vrchu.
3 (CPDV) Let no one ascend with you, and do not let anyone be seen throughout the entire mountain. Likewise, do not let the oxen or the sheep pasture up against it.”
3 (ROH) Nikto nevyjde hore s tebou, ani nech sa nikto neukáže na celom tom vrchu, ani ovce ani voly nech sa nepasú naproti tomu vrchu.
4 (CPDV) And so he cut out two tablets of stone, like those that were before. And rising up in the night, he ascended onto Mount Sinai, just as the Lord had instructed him, carrying with him the tablets.
4 (ROH) Utesal tedy dvoje dosiek z kameňa, ako boly tie prvé, a potom vstal Mojžiš skoro ráno a vyšiel na vrch Sinai, tak ako mu prikázal Hospodin, a vzal do svojej ruky dvoje dosiek z kameňa.
5 (CPDV) And when the Lord had descended in a cloud, Moses stood with him, calling upon the name of the Lord.
5 (ROH) A Hospodin sostúpil v oblaku a stál s ním tam a zavolal menom: HOSPODIN.
6 (CPDV) And as he was crossing before him, he said: “The Ruler, the Lord God, merciful and lenient, patient and full of compassion and also truthful,
6 (ROH) A Hospodin idúc popri ňom volal: Hospodin, Hospodin, silný Bôh ľútostivý a milosrdný, dlho zhovievajúci a veľký čo do milosti a pravdy,
7 (CPDV) who preserves mercy a thousand fold, who takes away iniquity, and wickedness, and also sin; and with you no one, in and of himself, is innocent. You render the iniquity of the fathers to the sons, and also to their descendents to the third and fourth generation.”
7 (ROH) ktorý zachováva milosť tisícim a odpúšťa neprávosť, prestúpenie a hriech, ktorý však nijakým činom nenechá bez trestu vinného, ale navštevuje neprávosť otcov na svojich synoch i na synoch synov, na treťom i na štvrtom pokolení.
8 (CPDV) And hurrying, Moses bowed down prostrate to the ground; and worshiping,
8 (ROH) A Mojžiš rýchle sklonil hlavu k zemi a klaňal sa.
9 (CPDV) he said: “If I have found grace in your sight, O Lord, I beg you to walk with us, (for the people are stiff-necked) and take away our iniquities and our sin, and so possess us.”
9 (ROH) A povedal: Prosím, jestli som našiel milosť v tvojich očiach, ó, Pane, prosím, nech ide Pán v našom strede, lebo je to ľud tvrdej šije, a odpustíš našu neprávosť a náš hriech a prijmeš nás za svoje dedičstvo!
10 (CPDV) The Lord responded: “I will enter into a pact in the sight of all. I will perform signs which have never been seen on earth, nor among any nation, so that this people, in whose midst you are, may discern the terrible work of the Lord that I will do.
10 (ROH) A on riekol: Hľa, učiním smluvu pred všetkým tvojím ľudom. Učiním čudesá, jaké neboly stvorené nikdy a nikde na celej zemi ani nikde v niktorom národe, a bude vidieť všetok ľud, v ktorého strede si ty, dielo Hospodinovo, lebo to bude strašné, čo ja učiním s tebou.
11 (CPDV) Observe everything that I command you this day. I myself will drive out before your face the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
11 (ROH) Zachovaj si, čo ti prikazujem dnes! Hľa, vyženiem zpred tvojej tvári Amoreja, Kananeja, Heteja, Ferezeja, Heveja a Jebuzeja.
12 (CPDV) Beware that you do not ever join in friendship with the inhabitants of that land, which may be your ruin.
12 (ROH) Chráň sa, aby si neučinil smluvy s obyvateľmi zeme, do ktorej vojdeš, aby neboli osídlom v tvojom strede!
13 (CPDV) But destroy their altars, break their statues, and cut down their sacred groves.
13 (ROH) Ale ich oltáre rozboríte a ich modlárske stĺpy polámete a ich háje povytínate,
14 (CPDV) Do not be willing to worship any strange god. The jealous Lord is his name. God is a rival.
14 (ROH) lebo sa nebudeš klaňať inému bohu, pretože Hospodin, ktorého meno je Žiarlivý, je silný Bôh žiarlivý.
15 (CPDV) Do not enter into a pact with the men of those regions, lest, when they will have fornicated with their gods and worshiped their idols, someone might call upon you to eat from what was immolated.
15 (ROH) Aby sa nestalo, keď by si učinil smluvu s obyvateľmi zeme, a smilnili by idúc za svojimi bohmi a obetovali by bitné obeti svojim bohom, že by ťa pozval niektorý z nich, a jedol by si z jeho obeti
16 (CPDV) Neither shall you take a wife for your son from their daughters, lest, after they themselves have fornicated, they may cause your sons also to fornicate with their gods.
16 (ROH) a vzal by si z jeho dcér svojim synom ženy, a jeho dcéry by smilnily idúc za svojimi bohmi a spôsobily by to, že by smilnili aj tvoji synovia odíduc za ich bohmi.
17 (CPDV) You shall not make for yourselves any molten gods.
17 (ROH) Nespravíš si liatych bohov.
18 (CPDV) You shall keep the solemnity of unleavened bread. For seven days, you shall eat unleavened bread, just as I instructed you, in the time of the month of what is new. For in the month of springtime you departed from Egypt.
18 (ROH) Zachovávať budeš slávnosť nekvasených chlebov; sedem dní budeš jesť nekvasené chleby, jako som ti prikázal, na určený čas, v mesiaci abíbe, lebo v mesiaci abíbe si vyšiel z Egypta.
19 (CPDV) All of the male kind, which open the womb, shall be mine: from all the animals, as much of oxen as of sheep, it shall be mine.
19 (ROH) Všetko, čo otvára život, je moje, i všetko z tvojho dobytka, čo sa narodí mužského pohlavia, čo otvára život, už či je hovädo z kráv a či dobytča, ovca alebo koza.
20 (CPDV) The firstborn of a donkey, you shall redeem with a sheep. But if you will not give a price for it, it shall be slain. The firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. You shall not appear empty in my sight.
20 (ROH) Ale prvorodené osľa vykúpiš ovcou alebo kozou. A keď nevykúpiš, zlomíš mu šiju. Každého prvorodeného zo svojich synov vykúpiš. A nikto sa neukáže predo mnou prázdny.
21 (CPDV) For six days you shall work. On the seventh day you shall cease to cultivate and to harvest.
21 (ROH) Šesť dní budeš pracovať, a siedmeho dňa prestaneš; v oračke i v žatve prestaneš.
22 (CPDV) You shall observe the Solemnity of Weeks with the first-fruits of the grain from the harvest of your wheat, and a Solemnity when the time of the year returns and everything is stored away.
22 (ROH) A učiníš si slávnosť týždňov, slávnosť prvých plodov pšeničnej žatvy i slávnosť spratávania plodov pri konci roku.
23 (CPDV) Three times a year, all your males shall appear in the sight of the Almighty, the Lord God of Israel.
23 (ROH) Tri razy v roku sa ukáže každý tvoj mužského pohlavia pred tvárou Pána Hospodina, Boha Izraelovho.
24 (CPDV) For when I will have taken away the nations before your face, and enlarged your borders, no one shall lie in wait against your land when you will go up to appear in the sight of the Lord your God, three times a year.
24 (ROH) Lebo vyženiem národy zpred tvojej tvári a rozšírim tvoje hranice, a nikto nepožiada tvojej zeme, keď pojdeš hore, aby si sa ukázal pred tvárou Hospodina, svojho Boha, tri razy v roku.
25 (CPDV) You shall not immolate the blood of my victim over leaven; and there shall not remain, in the morning, any of the victim of the Solemnity of the Passover.
25 (ROH) Nebudeš obetovať krvi mojej obeti pri kvasenom, ani nezostane do rána obeť slávnosti Veľkej noci.
26 (CPDV) The first of the fruits of your land you shall offer in the house of the Lord your God. You shall not boil a young goat in the milk of its mother.”
26 (ROH) Prvotinu z prvých plodov svojej pôdy donesieš do domu Hospodina, svojho Boha. Nebudeš variť kozľaťa v mlieku jeho materi.
27 (CPDV) And the Lord said to Moses, “Write these words to you, through which I have formed a covenant, both with you and with Israel.”
27 (ROH) A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi: Napíš si tieto slová, lebo na základe týchto slov učinil som smluvu s tebou a s Izraelom.
28 (CPDV) Therefore, he was in that place with the Lord for forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread and he did not drink water, and he wrote on the tablets the ten words of the covenant.
28 (ROH) A bol tam s Hospodinom štyridsať dní a štyridsať nocí; nejedol chleba a nepil vody; a napísal na dosky slová smluvy, desať slov.
29 (CPDV) And when Moses descended from Mount Sinai, he held the two tablets of the testimony, and he did not know that his face was radiant from the sharing of words with the Lord.
29 (ROH) A stalo sa, keď schádzal Mojžiš s vrchu Sinai, (a dve dosky svedoctva v ruke Mojžišovej, keď schádzal s vrchu), že nevedel Mojžiš o tom, že sa skveje koža jeho tvári, pretože hovoril s ním Bôh.
30 (CPDV) Then Aaron and the sons of Israel, seeing that the face of Moses was radiant, were afraid to approach close by.
30 (ROH) A keď videl Áron a všetci synovia Izraelovi Mojžiša a videli, že, hľa, skveje sa koža jeho tvári, báli sa priblížiť sa k nemu.
31 (CPDV) And being called by him, they turned back, both Aaron and the leaders of the assembly. And after he had spoken to them,
31 (ROH) Ale Mojžiš zavolal na nich, a vrátili sa k nemu Áron i všetky kniežatá v obci, a Mojžiš hovoril s nimi.
32 (CPDV) all the sons of Israel also now came to him. And he instructed them in all the things that he had heard from the Lord on Mount Sinai.
32 (ROH) Potom sa priblížili aj všetci synovia Izraelovi, a prikázal im všetko, čo s ním hovoril Hospodin na vrchu Sinai.
33 (CPDV) And having completed these words, he placed a veil over his face.
33 (ROH) A tak dohovoril Mojžiš s nimi a bol si dal závoj na svoju tvár.
34 (CPDV) But when he entered to the Lord and was speaking with him, he took it off, until he exited. And then he spoke to the sons of Israel all that had been commanded to him.
34 (ROH) Keď potom vchádzal Mojžiš pred tvár Hospodinovu, aby hovoril s ním, odstraňoval závoj, dokiaľ zase nevyšiel. A keď vyšiel, hovoril synom Izraelovým to, čo mu bolo prikázané.
35 (CPDV) And they saw that the face of Moses, when he came out, was radiant, but he covered his face again, whenever he spoke to them.
35 (ROH) A synovia Izraelovi videli tvár Mojžišovu, že sa skveje koža jeho tvári, a Mojžiš vše zase dal závoj na svoju tvár, dokiaľ nevošiel hovoriť s ním, to jest s Bohom.

Dt 10:1 - “At that time, the Lord said to me: ‘Hew for yourself two tablets of stone, like those that were before, and ascend to me on the mountain. And you shall make an ark of wood.

Let no one ascend with you, and do not let anyone be seen throughout the entire mountain. Likewise, do not let the oxen or the sheep pasture up against it.”
Ex 19:12 - And you will establish limits for the people all around, and you will say to them: ‘Take care not to ascend to the mountain, and that you do not touch its parts. All who touch the mountain, shall die a death.’
Ex 19:13 - Hands shall not touch him, but he shall be crushed with stones, or he shall be pierced through with darts. Whether it be a beast or a man, he shall not live. For when the trumpet begins to sound, perhaps they might go up toward the mountain.”
Verš 33
And having completed these words, he placed a veil over his face.
2Kor 3:7 - But if the ministration of death, engraved with letters upon stones, was in glory, (so much so that the sons of Israel were not able to gaze intently upon the face of Moses, because of the glory of his countenance) even though this ministration was ineffective,
2Kor 3:13 - and not as Moses did, in placing a veil over his face, so that the sons of Israel would not gaze intently at his face. This was ineffective,

And as he was crossing before him, he said: “The Ruler, the Lord God, merciful and lenient, patient and full of compassion and also truthful,
Ex 33:19 - He responded: “I will show you all that is good, and I will call out with the name of the Lord before you. And I will take pity on whomever I will, and I will be lenient to whomever it will please me.”

who preserves mercy a thousand fold, who takes away iniquity, and wickedness, and also sin; and with you no one, in and of himself, is innocent. You render the iniquity of the fathers to the sons, and also to their descendents to the third and fourth generation.”
Ex 20:6 - and showing mercy to thousands of those who love me and keep my precepts.
Nm 14:18 - ‘The Lord is patient and full of mercy, taking away iniquity and wickedness, and forsaking no one who is harmless. He visits the sins of the fathers upon the sons, to the third and fourth generation.’
Dt 5:10 - and acting with mercy in thousands of ways to those who love me and keep my precepts.

Verš 22

Ex 23:16 - for it is the solemnity of the harvest of the first-fruits of your work, of whatever you have sown in the field. Likewise, it is a solemnity at the end of the season, when you will have gathered in all your crops from the field.

Ex 23:17 - Three times a year, all your males shall appear before the Lord your God.
Dt 16:16 - Three times a year, all your males shall appear in the sight the Lord your God in the place which he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles. No one shall appear before the Lord empty.

Verš 26

Ex 23:19 - You shall carry the first grain of the land to the house of the Lord your God. You shall not cook a young goat in the milk of its mother.
Dt 26:2 - you shall take the first of all your crops, and place them in a basket, and you shall travel to the place which the Lord your God will choose, so that his name may be invoked there.

Dt 14:21 - But whatever has died of itself, you shall not eat from it. Give it to the sojourner, who is within your gates, so that he may eat, or sell it to him. For you are the holy people of the Lord your God. You shall not boil a young goat in the milk of his mother.
Verš 28
Therefore, he was in that place with the Lord for forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread and he did not drink water, and he wrote on the tablets the ten words of the covenant.
Ex 24:18 - And Moses, entering into the midst of the cloud, ascended the mountain. And he was there for forty days and forty nights.
Dt 9:9 - when I ascended onto the mountain, so that I might receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant which the Lord formed with you. And I persevered on the mountain for forty days and nights, neither eating bread, nor drinking water.
Dt 9:18 - And I fell prostrate before the Lord, just as before, for forty days and nights, not eating bread, and not drinking water, because of all your sins, which you had committed against the Lord, and because you provoked him to anger.

Ex 31:18 - And the Lord, having completed speaking in this way on Mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone tablets of testimony, written with the finger of God. 49
Dt 4:13 - And he revealed his covenant to you, which he instructed you to carry out, and the ten words which he wrote on two tablets of stone.
Verš 29
And when Moses descended from Mount Sinai, he held the two tablets of the testimony, and he did not know that his face was radiant from the sharing of words with the Lord.
2Kor 3:7 - But if the ministration of death, engraved with letters upon stones, was in glory, (so much so that the sons of Israel were not able to gaze intently upon the face of Moses, because of the glory of his countenance) even though this ministration was ineffective,
Ex 34,5-7 - Pán oznamuje Mojžišovi, že je Bohom lásky. Už mu to dokázal, keď sa s ním zhováral, a dokáže mu to, keď ľudu odpustí previnenie.
Ex 34,13-14 - Modly, dosl. stĺpy, ktoré predstavovali boha Bála; posvätné stromy, čiže stromové kýpte, zas boli zasvätené pohanskej bohyni Ašere, ktorá bola bohyňou plodnosti.
Ex 34,15 - Vzťah Pánov k izraelskému národu sa v Biblii prirovnáva veľmi často k manželstvu. Vernosť manželská sa porušuje cudzoložstvom, preto Písmo aj neveru voči Bohu vyjadruje slovom cudzoložstvo a jemu podobnými (Lv 17,7; 25,5.6; Nm 15,39; Dt 31,16 atď.).
