1 (UKJV) "Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. "
1 (ROH) Toto sú mená synov Izraelových, ktorí prišli do Egypta s Jakobom. Každý prišiel so svojím domom.
1 (RIV) Or questi sono i nomi dei figliuoli d’Israele che vennero in Egitto. Essi ci vennero con Giacobbe, ciascuno con la sua famiglia:

2 (UKJV) Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,
2 (ROH) Rúben, Simeon, Lévi a Júda,
2 (RIV) Ruben, Simeone, Levi e Giuda;

3 (UKJV) Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,
3 (ROH) Izachár, Zabulon a Benjamin,
3 (RIV) Issacar, Zabulon e Beniamino;

4 (UKJV) Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
4 (ROH) Dán, Naftali, Gád a Aser.
4 (RIV) Dan e Neftali, Gad e Ascer.

5 (UKJV) And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.
5 (ROH) A bolo všetkých duší, ktoré pošly z bedra Jakobovho, sedemdesiat duší. A Jozef bol v Egypte.
5 (RIV) Tutte le persone discendenti da Giacobbe ammontavano a settanta. Giuseppe era già in Egitto.

6 (UKJV) And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.
6 (ROH) A Jozef zomrel i všetci jeho bratia i celé to pokolenie.
6 (RIV) E Giuseppe morì, come moriron pure tutti i suoi fratelli e tutta quella generazione.

7 (UKJV) "And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. "
7 (ROH) A synovia Izraelovi sa plodili a hemžili a množili sa a mocneli prenáramne a naplnená bola nimi zem.
7 (RIV) E i figliuoli d’Israele furon fecondi, moltiplicarono copiosamente, diventarono numerosi e si fecero oltremodo potenti, e il paese ne fu ripieno.

8 (UKJV) Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.
8 (ROH) Potom povstal nový kráľ nad Egyptom, ktorý neznal Jozefa.
8 (RIV) Or sorse sopra l’Egitto un nuovo re, che non avea conosciuto Giuseppe.

9 (UKJV) And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:
9 (ROH) A povedal svojmu ľudu: Hľa, ľudu synov Izraelových je viac ako nás a je to mocnejší ľud ako my.
9 (RIV) Egli disse al suo popolo: "Ecco, il popolo de’ figliuoli d’Israele è più numeroso e più potente di noi.

10 (UKJV) "Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falls out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. "
10 (ROH) Nože buďme opatrní voči nemu, aby sa príliš nerozmnožil, a stalo by sa, keby povstala vojna proti nám, že by sa aj on pridal k tým, ktorí nás nenávidia, a bojoval by proti nám a vyšiel by hore zo zeme.
10 (RIV) Orsù, usiamo prudenza con essi; che non abbiano a moltiplicare e, in caso di guerra, non abbiano a unirsi ai nostri nemici e combattere contro di noi e poi andarsene dal paese".

11 (UKJV) Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.
11 (ROH) Preto postavili nad ním úradníkov, ktorí vyberali dane, aby ho trápili svojimi bremenami. A ľud vystavil faraonovi mestá skladíšť, mesto Pitom a Ramses.
11 (RIV) Stabilirono dunque sopra Israele de’ soprastanti ai lavori, che l’opprimessero con le loro angherie. Ed esso edificò a Faraone le città di approvvigionamento, Pithom e Raamses.

12 (UKJV) But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
12 (ROH) Ale čím viacej ho trápili, tým viacej sa množil a tým viacej sa rozširoval. A hrozili sa synov Izraelových.
12 (RIV) Ma più l’opprimevano, e più il popolo moltiplicava e s’estendeva; e gli Egiziani presero in avversione i figliuoli d’Israele,

13 (UKJV) And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:
13 (ROH) A Egypťania podrobovali synov Izraelových v službu ukrutne ich utláčajúc.
13 (RIV) e fecero servire i figliuoli d’Israele con asprezza,

14 (UKJV) And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.
14 (ROH) A strpčovali ich život tvrdou prácou, blatom a tehlami, a všelijakou prácou na poli, a k tomu každou inou svojou prácou, ktorú konali nimi, ukrutne ich utláčajúc.
14 (RIV) e amareggiaron loro la vita con una dura servitù, adoprandoli nei lavori d’argilla e di mattoni, e in ogni sorta di lavori nei campi. E imponevano loro tutti questi lavori, con asprezza.

15 (UKJV) And the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:
15 (ROH) A egyptský kráľ rozkázal porodným babám hebrejským, z ktorých jednej bolo meno Šifra, a druhej Pua,
15 (RIV) Il re d’Egitto parlò anche alle levatrici degli Ebrei, delle quali l’una si chiamava Scifra e l’altra Pua. E disse:

16 (UKJV) "And he said, When all of you do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then all of you shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. "
16 (ROH) a povedal: Keď budete pomáhať hebrejským ženám pri pôrode a budete hľadieť na rodenie, vtedy, ak bude syn, zabijete ho, a keď dcéra, bude žiť.
16 (RIV) "Quando assisterete le donne ebree al tempo del parto, e le vedrete sulla seggiola, se è un maschio, uccidetelo; ma se è una femmina, lasciatela vivere".

17 (UKJV) But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.
17 (ROH) Ale baby sa bály Boha, a neurobily tak, ako im hovoril egyptský kráľ, lež nechaly chlapcov žiť.
17 (RIV) Ma le levatrici temettero Iddio, e non fecero quello che il re d’Egitto aveva ordinato loro; lasciarono vivere i maschi.

18 (UKJV) And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have all of you done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?
18 (ROH) A egyptský kráľ povolal baby a povedal im: Prečo ste to urobily, že ste nechaly chlapcov žiť?
18 (RIV) Allora il re d’Egitto chiamò le levatrici, e disse loro: "Perché avete fatto questo, e avete lasciato vivere i maschi?"

19 (UKJV) "And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered before the midwives come in unto them. "
19 (ROH) A baby riekly faraonovi: Hebrejky nie sú jako egyptské ženy, lebo tie sú zdravé a silné; prv ako k nim prijde baba, porodia.
19 (RIV) E le levatrici risposero a Faraone: "Egli è che le donne ebree non sono come le egiziane; sono vigorose, e, prima che la levatrice arrivi da loro, hanno partorito".

20 (UKJV) Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
20 (ROH) A Bôh učinil dobre babám, a ľud sa množil a mocneli veľmi.
20 (RIV) E Dio fece del bene a quelle levatrici; e il popolo moltiplicò e divenne oltremodo potente.

21 (UKJV) And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.
21 (ROH) A stalo sa, keď sa baby bály Boha, že im učinil domy.
21 (RIV) E perché quelle levatrici temettero Iddio, egli fece prosperare le loro case.

22 (UKJV) And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born all of you shall cast into the river, and every daughter all of you shall keep alive.
22 (ROH) A faraon rozkázal všetkému svojmu ľudu a povedal: Každého syna, ktorý sa narodí, hodíte do rieky, a každú dcéru necháte žiť.
22 (RIV) Allora Faraone diede quest’ordine al suo popolo: "Ogni maschio che nasce, gettatelo nel fiume; ma lasciate vivere tutte le femmine".
