1 Ž 99, 1 "The LORD reigns; let the people tremble: he sits between the cherubims; let the earth be moved. " 2 Ž 99, 2 "The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people. " 4 Ž 99, 4 "The king's strength also loves judgment; you do establish equity, you execute judgment and righteousness in Jacob. Z 99 - Aj tento žalm je venovaný Bohu ako svätému Kráľovi, je tiež mesiášsky, pretože sa v ňom vyzdvihuje všeobecné Božie kráľovstvo.
Z 99,1-3 - "Pán kraľuje" (Ž 93,1), "tróni nad cherubmi" (1 Sam 4,4; 2 Sam 6,2; Iz 37,16; Ž 80,2; 1 Krn 13,6), čiže nad archou zmluvy, na ktorej boli dvaja cherubi (Ex 25,22).
