Žalmy

1 (KJV) The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.
1 (B21) Hospodin kraluje - národy, chvějte se! Trůní nad cherubíny - země ať třese se!

2 (KJV) The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.
2 (B21) Veliký je na Sionu Hospodin, vyvýšený nad všemi národy.

3 (KJV) Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.
3 (B21) Tvé jméno veliké a hrozné ať velebí: "On je svatý!"

4 (KJV) The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
4 (B21) Král ve své síle právo miluje, vždyť ty jsi rovnost stanovil, právo a spravedlnost v Jákobovi konáš ty.

5 (KJV) Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.
5 (B21) Vyvyšujte Hospodina, Boha našeho, klaňte se u jeho podnoží: "On je svatý!"

6 (KJV) Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.
6 (B21) Mojžíš a Áron jsou mezi jeho kněžími, Samuel mezi těmi, kdo jeho jméno vzývají; k Hospodinu volali a on jim odvětil.

7 (KJV) He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.
7 (B21) Z oblakového sloupu mluvil k nim; dbali na svědectví a zákony, které jim uložil.

8 (KJV) Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
8 (B21) Hospodine, Bože náš, tys jim odpovídal, byl jsi jim Bohem, který odpouští, i když jsi trestal jejich zločiny.

9 (KJV) Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.
9 (B21) Vyvyšujte Hospodina, Boha našeho, klaňte se na hoře jeho svatosti: "Jistě je svatý náš Bůh, Hospodin!"
