1 (UKJV) "The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. "
1 (ROH) Hospodin kraľuje! Nech plesá zem! Nech sa radujú tie mnohé ostrovy!
2 (UKJV) Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.
2 (ROH) Oblak a mrákava je vôkol neho; spravedlivosť a súd postaťou jeho trónu.
3 (UKJV) A fire goes before him, and burns up his enemies round about.
3 (ROH) Oheň ide pred ním a vôkol páli jeho protivníkov.
4 (UKJV) His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

7 (UKJV) Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all you gods.

8 (UKJV) "Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of your judgments, O LORD. "

9 (UKJV) For you, LORD, are high above all the earth: you are exalted far above all gods.

10 (UKJV) "All of you that love the LORD, hate evil: he perserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. "
10 (ROH) Vy, ktorí milujete Hospodina, majte v nenávisti to, čo je zlé! On ostríha duše svojich svätých; vytrhuje ich z ruky bezbožníkov.
11 (UKJV) Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
11 (ROH) Svetlo sa seje spravedlivému a radosť tým, ktorí sú úprimného srdca.
12 (UKJV) "Rejoice in the LORD, all of you righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. "
12 (ROH) Radujte sa, spravedliví, v Hospodinovi a oslavujte pamiatku jeho svätosti!

Verš 1
"The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. "
Ž 93:1 - "The LORD reigns, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he has girded himself: the world also is established, that it cannot be moved. "
Ž 96:10 - Say among the heathen that the LORD reigns: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
Verš 10
"All of you that love the LORD, hate evil: he perserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. "
Am 5:15 - Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
Rim 12:9 - "Let love (o. agape) be without dissimulation. Detest that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. "

His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
Zjv 4:5 - And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits (o. pneuma) of God.
Ž 77:16 - "The waters saw you, O God, the waters saw you; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled. "
Verš 6
The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.
Ž 19:1 - "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork. "
Ž 50:6 - And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.
Z 97 - Autor Listu Hebrejom 7. verš tohto žalmu cituje podľa gréckej osnovy a dokazuje nim božstvo Ježiša Krista (Hebr 1,6). Žalm je tiež prorocký a opisuje príchod Božieho kráľovstva.
Z 97,1 - Pohnútkou k tejto všeobecnej radosti je príchod Pána v mesiášskych časoch, príchod Kráľa a Sudcu všetkých národov a všetkých končín sveta (Iz 42,10; 51,5).
Z 97,8 - "Dcéry Júdove" je hebraizmus a označuje všetky mestá a dediny júdskeho kráľovstva. A keďže Sion je stredobodom univerzálneho mesiášskeho kráľovstva, znázorňujú svetovú všeobecnosť.
